Need some help determining the cause of frequent crashes while playing either game, a variety of error numbers. Tried updating graphic drivers, no change.

Basically, whenever I play games the letter keys registers as numbers. For example, if I keep pressing Q, it would register as 1, then 2, then 3, all the way back to 0 and then to 1 again. I don't know what causes this problem.
The way I figured this out is when I am trying to do hotkeys it would do that. So basically I can't play any games because it does this.
This isn't a numlock problem or a keyboard region problem, by the way.
Computer games make my Pc crash. This happens about 10-15 minutes after I start any game.However, most games only crash when the window fits the whole screen and some games crash whenever it fits the whole screen AND whenever the game is resizableFor example, whenever I play Runescape in fullscreen, it crashes in about 10 minutes after I start the game. This doesn't happen whenever I have it in a resizable window. View 2 Replies View RelatedThe computer has worked great for years with 2x1 GB of OCZ PC 500 memory. I added 2 more sticks for 4x1 GB of OCZ PC 500 memory, all are matched sticks. The computer crashes to the desktop while gaming. Memory passes MemTest86, several passes with Hardware/Software memory hole enabled. One other thing, at this time I am using Windows XP 32 and what started this upgrade to 4 GB is I'm getting ready to install Windows 7 Home 64.

So recently i was having a lot of AMD driver issues and crashes while playing Dota 2 and some other games, Now over the past 3 days i have been getting BSOD crashes as well while playing games. This does not happen immediately in games, it appears to be random.I reset all my BIOS settings just in case it was my overclock, but i had another this afternoon afterwards.

-OS install about a year as well
I just built a new computer and whenever I play the game CoD:mw3 my computer randomly crashes, sometimes it'll show pale blue on my screen sometimes it'll be yellow and there really is no specific timing for it either. I've already upgraded my drivers.

Whenever I play a game for longer than 10 minutes, this happens. Affected games: trackamania nations, trackmania united, CoD4, MW2, BO, Oblivion, .. Most games. Stepmania doesn't seem to have the problem, so I think it may be OpenGL/DirectX related.This sound is also paired with severe FPS problems. After a few more minutes of play, I the BSOD; [URL]One odd thing is that when I launch a game (for example CoD4, which boots quickly, because other games need to boot steam first :s) right after startup, and leave it running for say 10 minutes, the problem will not exist for the entire session, until I reboot.Natively, I had Vista, after a month orso the problem started occuring. Then I clean installed Windows 7 Home Premium, the problem didn't exist at first. After a month, same problem. Then I upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate, which gave the same story.I'm confident that the problem is with an auto-update of something, I deliberately didn't instal any drivers manually.

I have a problem with BSOD with nvlddmkm.sys when playing any game. This BSOD shows only when I play any game, but when I browse internet or run for example some graphic programs, that screen never showed up. Sometimes I can play 5 minutes, sometimes more.

Here is some information about my computer:
AMD X2 4600+, nVidia GF 8800GT 512mb, RAM 2GB.
I already changed drivers to newest and downgraded to some older, but nothing changed, the same problem again. I used option that I founded on the net where I needed to use CMD and expand that .sys file to create new, but that not worked too.
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit - OEM. Hardware is a little under a year old.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had these problems for a few months so I just started using our shared family computer, and recently I haven't been able to get access to it that often. Because I had so many problems with my computer, I tried clean installing it, which helped for around a month. Now it is back to BSODS. The error code I mainly get is the 0x00000A.

The OS came in-built with the computer, but since then I've re-installed it around 5 times.
I just bought a nvidia geforce gt 630 2gb and installed it's program... It works fine with games BUT it sometimes takes a long time to start up ,Extreamly frequent freezes and then either resumes or blue screens even when just windows is open, when i run on safe mode the pc works fine steps that i have done :
i installed a new windows
i cleaned the case with a vacume cleaner and a brush
i upgraded the driver
i made sure the pc isn't overheated
i made sure the fans work all the time
i made sure the psu is enough
notice: the pc has a higher percent of freezing while playing games
I have started to experience frequent crashes (freezes and sometime BSOD) with my x201. Nothing gets written to my minidump directory. I am unable to get the system to write to a memory.dmp file using the posted instructions. The most frequent error message I get is: The instruction at 0x00000000774CCB98 reference memory at 0x00000000719710B8. The required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of 0xc000000e.
I ran memtest86 through 10 cycles with no errors. I am attaching the compressed output from the windows_NT6. As well as the perfmon report. As you will see I've disabled Bluetooth devices since the drivers weren't loading.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy HP Probook 4320s laptop was purchased in October 2011 - It quickly developed the extremely annoying problem of freezing / crashing. I called the company that it was purchased it from, they asked me to do a memory test & hard drive test - they showed no errors. They then advised me to reinstall Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit (it was preinstalled when purchased). I reinstalled it, & downloaded all of the drivers from the web (a painfully slow experience on Kenyan internet...!!). After installing all of them - it's still happening! Sometimes if left for a couple of minutes it will start to work again, sometimes it needs a reset with the power button.

Another major problem is that I frequently get "Windows Explorer has stopped working". It fixes itself when I restart. But it's hassle to restart everytime.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi've been experiencing BSOD's pretty much consistently since i bought my computer a few months ago but i thought i'd fixed it a while back but turns out it just happens alot less frequently when playing certain games / idling on desktop / browsing internet.Games like counter strike source and ARMA 2 (playing the DayZ mod) seem to cause the BSODs pretty regularly (almost every 30 minutes) whereas i can play games like WoW with almost no troubles, until i try to stream that is, then its pretty random: sometimes i can stream for hours but other times it will BSOD with in 5 minutes.

I have an acer aspire M5800 Windows 7 home edition 64bit that is currently inoperable or barely least ways it started with me playing League of Legends, I recieved a noticed stating that the drivers had to be updated after the game closed automatically.I updated the computer it was running fine went to play the game and when i started to play it "crashed" the game didnt close but the colors are streaky and mostly primary colors.red green black some blue Ive noticed the resolution displays at 600X800 and the device manager has a question mark on my video card with an exclamation mark on the pci driver ..when i try to update this one it tells me that it can not find any drivers for it...the computer runs extremely slow if i can even get the OS to load any thought on what this could be?

Certain games will for fairly long periods (hours of game play) while others will crash within an hour. The only games that I get to enjoy are League of Legends, Batman: arkham asylum, and Fable III, the last two happen to be microsoft games. View 4 Replies View RelatedI just built a new machine and did a clean install of Windows 7 RC last week. For the most part it runs like a dream, very much up to par.
However, there are occasional Blue Screens and game crashes that happen while putting little strain on the PC, in my opinion.
I am typically running Firefox, Ventrilo and World of Warcraft when the issue occurs. Occasionally I get dips in my frame rate from around 60fps to 15-25fps. I received a notification that it was in relation to my video card and that I should update the driver, however I installed the 185.85 nvidia driver when I assembled it all.
Is there anyone that has experienced similar issues? if so what was your fix?

open the catylist control center, click on power play, and there are 2 sliders and u must set these up to OPTIMUM COMPUTER PERFORMANCE and NOT ON THE OPTIMUM BATTERY LIFE.
I have been getting BSOD's with the USB_BUG_CODE error. It used to be once every few months but it seems to be getting more frequent. I have attached the zip file with the information compiled by the diagnostic tool.
View 9 Replies View RelatedOften, when I start up a game, it decides to crash my whole system resulting in a blue screen. Do note, however, that it has also crashed when not in a game, but only once or twice.My first thought was the ram, as it was and is giving a lot of memory errors, so I ran memtest for over 10 hours with no failures. My next thought was the CPU, so I ran prime 95 on blend and small ftt tests for over 8 hours which also proved to be stable. Next was the HDD, and I did everything from examining the SMART info to a long generic test. GPU was my last hope, but Furmark doesn't phase the card, and I even ran MemtestG80 which supposedly tests the GPUs memory as well. I do realize these tests are not the end all, and there could be a problem with any one of them that the tests didn't find. I have also reinstalled Windows Something curious happened when I ran memtest the other day. I had one stick in and left the room for a few minutes, only to come back to 7k+ errors. This was it I thought, I finally found out what was causing it. I wanted to test it again to make sure it wasn't a bug in the software, but it ran for 8 hours with no errors. So I'm lead to believe it's the ram, motherboard, memory cache, or psu. I am leaning away from the psu based on the fact that I get lucky and am able to play Skyrim on Ultra with no issue.I have attached several recent minidumps for anyone who is able to understand such things.
