View 3 RepliesRecently I have been experiencing frequent BSOD.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm encountering BSOD's every 10 minutes or so from the past few days. I also have Windows XP which runs fine without BSODs. From BlueScreenViewer, I always get PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, caused by some ntkernel and halmacpi.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been getting BSOD's with the USB_BUG_CODE error. It used to be once every few months but it seems to be getting more frequent. I have attached the zip file with the information compiled by the diagnostic tool.
View 9 Replies View Relatedheres some of the problems my computer has had:
- Frequent hangs and freezes
- Frequent BSoDs
- Had a few encounters where the computer wouldnt start up and have a long continuous beep
- I don't know how to exactly describe this, but it's like halfway through using the computer, the screen turns black like when I just on the monitor without booting the com.

I need to solve my problem with "Not Responding" browser. My browser is Mozilla Firefox 18.0.1 (latest as of this date). When I browse using it, it starts normally but after a minute or two, the browser starts to "hang" and above the browser window, a "Not Responding" message shows up after the Mozilla Firefox name. This makes my PC slow down, and even opening the Task Manager takes a minute to show. But, if I wait, it will return to running status. It just too annoying to have this problem everytime I do browsing. I already uninstall and reinstall the browser but problem persists. I don't know if Mozilla Firefox is the problem, I have some doubt because I use this a long time before this problem occurred.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just bought a nvidia geforce gt 630 2gb and installed it's program... It works fine with games BUT it sometimes takes a long time to start up ,Extreamly frequent freezes and then either resumes or blue screens even when just windows is open, when i run on safe mode the pc works fine steps that i have done :
i installed a new windows
i cleaned the case with a vacume cleaner and a brush
i upgraded the driver
i made sure the pc isn't overheated
i made sure the fans work all the time
i made sure the psu is enough
notice: the pc has a higher percent of freezing while playing games
I have started to experience frequent crashes (freezes and sometime BSOD) with my x201. Nothing gets written to my minidump directory. I am unable to get the system to write to a memory.dmp file using the posted instructions. The most frequent error message I get is: The instruction at 0x00000000774CCB98 reference memory at 0x00000000719710B8. The required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of 0xc000000e.
I ran memtest86 through 10 cycles with no errors. I am attaching the compressed output from the windows_NT6. As well as the perfmon report. As you will see I've disabled Bluetooth devices since the drivers weren't loading.
My Configuration:
Windows 7 Pro 64-bit SP1
Intel Core i7 620M @ 2.67GHz
8.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 532MHz (7-7-7-20)
MB LENOVO 3249CTO
Graphics ThinkPad Display 1280x800 (1280x800@50Hz) Intel(R) HD Graphics
Crucial 250GB C300-CTFDDAA256MAG (SATA)
My HP Probook 4320s laptop was purchased in October 2011 - It quickly developed the extremely annoying problem of freezing / crashing. I called the company that it was purchased it from, they asked me to do a memory test & hard drive test - they showed no errors. They then advised me to reinstall Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit (it was preinstalled when purchased). I reinstalled it, & downloaded all of the drivers from the web (a painfully slow experience on Kenyan internet...!!). After installing all of them - it's still happening! Sometimes if left for a couple of minutes it will start to work again, sometimes it needs a reset with the power button.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've followed the instructions. I get almost 5-6 BSOD in a day. The blue screen appears and it shows dumping memory... 10% ... 50% 100% then my PC restarts. Another major problem is that I frequently get "Windows Explorer has stopped working". It fixes itself when I restart. But it's hassle to restart everytime.
View 7 Replies View RelatedNeed some help determining the cause of frequent crashes while playing either game, a variety of error numbers. Tried updating graphic drivers, no change.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently built a new computer using the following parts:
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V PRO
Memory: CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1866
PSU: CORSAIR HX Series HX750 750W
Storage: 2 x OCZ Vertex 120GB SSD in RAID 0 Configuration and is also the boot drive
320GB Western Digital 7200RPM HDD as a data drive
CPU: Intel i5 3570k
CPU Cooler: Corsair H70 Core w/ 2 Corsair SP120 static pressure fans
lastly,
GPU: MSI R7870 Hawk
I have the CPU overclocked to about ~4.4Ghz using the ASUS motherboard's TPU switch and the AI Suite II's automatic overclocking utility. My main issue has been more of an annoyance than something that keeps the computer from functioning. I have been attempting to overclock the GPU which is pretty much made for overclocking considering it has the TwinFrozer IV cooler along with other OC features. My problem though is that even with minor overclocks like 1140 Mhz core clock and 1250 Mhz memory clock while playing pretty much any game I'm having issues with the display driver crashing (I'm assuming that's what is happening as the game freezes, goes black and then flashes back.)
This is as compared to the default speeds of 1100 core clock and 1200 memory clock. Not only does the display driver crash I also get BSODs every so often, eight in total now. The BSODs I'm getting mostly have the error code 0xA0000001 which seems to be cause by atikmdag.sys usually. I also recently tried using 3DMark 11 to benchmark the system and it would actually perform worse when I overclocked the card. The CPU score was always good but the GPU score was rather low. For overclocking I am using MSI Afterburner and watching the GPU temps they have never gone over 53C which I know is a safe temp. I have BlueScreenView and Windows Debugging Tools installed if you would like more information on the BSODs or any other information.
I think this all started after I did a RAM upgrade
It began with programs stopping (kernel32.dll, idon'tknowthenameanymore.dll)
But also games are just freezing after some time, mw2, ac, cod4. They all crash randomly.
Now sometimes the whole system freezes and I have to reset it.
Also, I get various BSOD's (ie IRQl not less or equal)
I think it has somethin to do with my memory,
I have 4 gb dual corsair 1066 kit combined with 2 gb Reaper 1066.
I am thinking of re-installing windows, because I didn't install it after the upgrade
Or do you guys think that the memory is corrupted?

I have had BSODs almost daily for the past week or so, but they're all different. Several hours ago, after leaving it unattended for a few hours, the computer just kind of turned off, but with the system fan and lights still on. My monitors has no signal, and my keyboard didn't do anything, but its light was still on. Maybe there's something wrong with my graphics card? I'm going to try to run a memtest tonight.
I'm not sure what's wrong. GW2 was working fine for a couple of days, and then the updates came rolling in. My computer started freezing, crashing, and a couple of bsods every hour or so. Only happens when playing GW2 though.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy computer has been crashing a lot lately. Usually, the computer freezes and weird lines appear on the display when it happens. Other times it just shows a BSOD and restarts. It started happening around 2-3 weeks after my motherboard, processor and RAM were changed because a part of the previous motherboard had burnt. The previous motherboard was ASUS M3A78-EM, the onboard graphics was ATI Radeon HD 3200 and RAM was 2 GB DDR2.I took the PC to a my computer vendor after everything I tried had failed. Firstly, he diagnosed it as an issue because of improper earthing/grounding in the switchboard where I plugged the computer and the UPS. I got the earthing issue sorted but to no avail, it still hanged/freezed. The second time I took it to him he said that he might have to update the BIOS and when I brought it back the problem had apparently been fixed but that was only for a few days. After like 4-5 days it started happening again. Same weird lines - green, magenta, purple and all the rest of it - started appearing. The HDD LED stops when this happens. I only observed the LED today, though. Today the computer freezed without those weird lines on two out of the 5 or 6 times it happenrd, it looked like it had just hanged but the HDD LED had gone off.Sometimes the PC doesn't start up at all immediately after it has crashed. That's what led me to guess it's a hardware issue. Also, it happens in safe mode and Windows XP too (I dual boot Windows XP and Windows 7) and I remember it once happening even before the computer had completely booted.Computer details:Windows 7 32-bitASUS M4A78LT-M-LEAMD Athlon II X2 250ATI Radeon 3000 onboard graphics1 x 2 GB DDR3 RAM250 GB SATAMinidumps and NirSoft BlueScreenView HTML report: url..
View 13 Replies View RelatedI'm randomly getting BSOD when my computer is not in safe mode. The last one I got I was able to get the error code and a mini dump file. Since I am not proficient in reading the logs
View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter the computer has been put to sleep a couple of times without rebooting Google News, some times CNN and several other web crash Firefox. Sometimes restarting Firefox allows me to open the website, sometimes it just keeps crashing. Rebooting "fixes" the problem but this tells me that Sleep is actually the problem. I notice that memory usage after a sleep is about 30% than after a sleep. This tells me that some processes are not "waking up".
I have only started using Sleep in the last couple of weeks so that's why I'm pretty sure is a Sleep/Firefox problem. Your comments are solicited.
Windows 7 x64, Dell Optiplex 990, 3 Dell monitors, everything else stock.
Two monitors are running off of the built in VGA and Display Port. I originally installed a Geforce 6200 to get the third monitor up. Works fine in Chrome and nothing else is slow. (office pc, so no gaming tests I suppose)
Firefox was REALLY slow and had blacked out parts unless you hovered over them. So I got rid of the card completely and installed/plugged in an EVGA UV+ 19. Now Firefox is great on the monitors that are NOT on the UV+, but slow and laggy on the one that is.
Drivers and Windows updates are current.
I built a PC not too long ago, maybe a month and a half, and i've been getting random BSOD, I did eliminate one, which was "MEMORY_MANAGMENT". Ive never had that BSOD since.
[code]...
It normally occurs when i'm playing LoL, Dota, or Starcraft 2. I can post minidump files if needed. It also occurs when just browsing the web, but not as common.
My two min browsers at the moment are waterfox & chrome..As the title says, Im on a x64 version of Windows 7.Has anyone any advice for me on the best versions of Firefox/Builds of Firefox for a x64 windows?same with Google chrome.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been using Thunderbird for my e-mail account. Somehow, Thunderbird was updated to 10.0. Now my e-mail texts are so small that I can barely read them. I downloaded an application that allowed me to increase the size of the fonts in the listing. However, the messages are still small. I tried setting the options to a larger font but that did not work. Two questions: Is there some way to increase the size of the text in both the email list and the messages. Two, can I just remove the new version and download an earlier version of Thunderbird. I don't know what version I was using, but I was perfectly satisfied with it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been trying for a week to do this, but no luck. I can't find a way to transfer from WindowsMail to Thunderbird in Windows 7.
Every time I try to import, it doesn't work. I downloaded an AdOn for Thunderbird, as recomended on various sites, but that didn't work in Vista or Windows 7.
My setup: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, Gmail. Messages from another computer using Thunderbird are received as attachments(I don't know why). First I have to download them, which is a royal pain. No matter what I use to read them I get the html looking stuff. Gmail is working fine as long as the messages are not from Thunderbird. Everything else on my puter seems to be working ok.
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy Thunderbird 3.1.10 started acting weird last week and since then problems have been only increasing. Here is what I have been experiencing so far. Any subfolders created under Inbox to organize all the mail I have suddenly disappeared. The mail can be accessed through the Search function, but the folders are gone. Sent messages no longer appear in the Sent folder but still appear when I use Search.
