Dec 15, 2011Recently I have been experiencing frequent BSOD.
View 6 RepliesRecently I have been experiencing frequent BSOD.
View 6 RepliesI'm encountering BSOD's every 10 minutes or so from the past few days. I also have Windows XP which runs fine without BSODs. From BlueScreenViewer, I always get PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, caused by some ntkernel and halmacpi.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been getting BSOD's with the USB_BUG_CODE error. It used to be once every few months but it seems to be getting more frequent. I have attached the zip file with the information compiled by the diagnostic tool.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSymptoms are frequent firefox/thunderbird crashes, with system crashes also occurring up to several times a day.
View 3 Replies View Relatedheres some of the problems my computer has had:
- Frequent hangs and freezes
- Frequent BSoDs
- Had a few encounters where the computer wouldnt start up and have a long continuous beep
- I don't know how to exactly describe this, but it's like halfway through using the computer, the screen turns black like when I just on the monitor without booting the com.

I have just sold my Laptop and have reinstalled Windows 7 back on the machine for the new owner. I was just wondering if there was a way of resetting the machine back to the Out Of The Box Experience for the new owner. Im wanting to do all the updates and software installation now and then "reset" it so the new owner can open it from fresh etc. Ive had a good Google but couldn't find anything.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI ran the Windows Experience Index on the PC I just built and in the part that tells you the amount of RAM you have installed, it says nothing.
Installed Memory (RAM): (Blank)
However, it did give me a rating of 7.4 for the RAM section. (6 Gigs of OCZ DDR3 1600 )
Is this something to worry about?
I recently installed a new hyper 212 cooler. After doing so I downloaded the Intel Burn Tool and ran it a few time to make sure my temps were fine. Now I can't run the WEI program?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an Asus G73SW Republic of Gamers laptop. Systems specs are an i7 2630QM 2.0ghz cpu, 16GB of ram, 1TB and 500GB, Nvidia GeForce 460m 1.5g of mem. My question is looking at other people that have the same machine are rating at around 7 on the processor part of the WEI, but I am rating a 4.7!!!!! I have also seen many machines at work that have far lower processing power that rate a higher score than I do.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just did a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium on my laptop a few days ago, and am trying to get the Windows Experience Index generated. However, I get a message saying that it couldn't be completed due to an error. Here is the info from the winsat.log file: Code:
View 7 Replies View RelatedI previously had vista installed and it performed smoothly.I did a Windows 7(x64) clean install and i kept getting the usual "cannot complete the assessment error".
I updated all BIOS-graphic card drivers and still no solution.
My Windows Experience index is not working. I click on "rate this computer", and nothing happens. My old scores are gone, but I haven't tried using it in probably 4 months. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit SP1 OS Version 6.1.7601.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have core2duo T6600 2.20ghz cpu, 4 gb(2.75gb usable) ram installed on my system, 500 gb hdd, and 512 mb dedicated nvidia graphics memory. Still my windows experience index is 3.4 only. Is there any way to increase it. Due to low WEI I face problems in playing some games.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem (though I think it is minor because my system recovers quite well from it after restarting). Basically, I overclocked my CPU to 4.19 gHz and everything is running smoothly (also got a Radeon 7770 HD graphics card) so I decided to redo my WEI score and close to the end of the CPU test the computer crashed and went to the blue screen of death before restarting again. Everything seems fine with my computer but I'm not sure what the problem might be. [code]
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a computer I built myself a few years ago. I recently installed a new graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE).Everything works perfectly, but everything looks a little bit fuzzy. It's not a big deal, but I would like it fixed. I have tried ClearType, and unchecking "Smoothe edges of screen fonts".I also tried updating the driver, but nothing works. An interesting detail is that during the installation of the driver, everything clears up, but then it reverts.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy 2 SATA HDD's are connected to my 6GB SATA ports on the MB. Is this the best score I could get with my hardware or will I need to install a SSD?
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I keep getting this error when trying to run WEI so that I can get the previews for the taskbar.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate. My issue is, the Win, Experience Index, does not work!
View 3 Replies View Relatedi own dell vostro 1400, c2d 1.6ghz, 4 gb ddr2 ram (2x2gb), windows 7 ultimate 32 bits.
i was very happy with the performance but suddenly it has become extremely slow to use. it becomes quite unresponsive even for simple tasks like watching Internet in browser. i check windows experience index and found out that processor and memory subscores are very low.
it shows 2.1 for processor and 2.8 memory.
I have sony Vaio VPCEC290X before Windows Experience Index was 5.1 but now it reduced to 3.5 i have update to latest bios a i have check power settings cleaned laptop dust also but the score is still 3.5 what might be the problem i have contact sony care also they checked and told nothing problem with your hardware
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm curious to see what kind of numbers people have gotten for the primary hard disk data transfer rate. Under Vista I scored 5.9 on all tests as it was as high as the numbers would go.
After a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate, I was quite surprised to find my primary hard disk score remained at a 5.9. My boot drive is made up of 2 10,000RPM cheetah SATA drives in a RAID stripe (RAID0). I'm wondering if this test is still maxed out at 5.9. If you got higher than 5.9, what kind of drive are you using? I'm sure SSD's score higher.
Several weeks back I started getting an error every time I ran the WEI in one of my computers. It would stop near the end of its run with the following error:The Windows Experience Index for Your System Could Not be Computed Could not measure storage performance.Error: Failed to properly asses the disk. The parameter is incorrect.(Parameter ??? There's nothing I like better than a nice cryptic explanation)And get this... Today I ran the WEI on my 2nd computer and now it's producing this same error. And yet, both computer's HDDs check out fine, There are no flags in Device Manager, and no problems elsewhere.I haven't done anything pertaining to the HDD in either machine. If I remember correctly, I noticed the problem after swapping the graphics cards between machines, although I can't understand why that would affect the HDD error in WEI. In both instances I did a clean re-install of the latest drivers. Both systems are kept clean of garbage and both are running Win7x64.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a bit of a problem on my hands. I'm using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, and every time I try and compile and run the code that I wrote, MVS complains about not being able to write over the .exe file. This has been documented before, and there are fixes, but everything I've tried simply doesn't work. The primary fix is enabling the "Application Experience" service, but the problem is that for some reason that service isn't even listed among the others. I've tried to use that "regsvcr32" thing with the corresponding .dll, but that doesn't work either (it just keeps throwing these error messages in my face)
View 3 Replies View Relatedwhat the difference is between the graphics rating and gaming graphics rating in the Windows Experience Index? Which is more important? Because my graphics has the lowest subscore of 5.8 and my gaming graphics has a subscore of 6.7.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't run the Windows Experience Index after performing some hardware changes. Since two weeks ago when I first had the issue, I have tried rebooting, upgrading the SSD, and upgrading the graphics card. I have also done a search on Google.
