View 3 Replies View RelatedI used to use Outlook with Vista. Within Outlook before I did a clean install of Windows 7 I saved all my existing emails and address books. I saved them to disk.
I did a clean/custom install of Windows 7 from a upgrade disk. I now have installed Thuderbird and have in up and running with my emails accounts. But now needs to Import my old Outlook emails and address books from DISK into Thunderbird.
As I go into Import in Thunderbird and choose import from file it is not findingmy files on disk or letting me inport from my disk. The other options are import from Outlook, which I no longer have since I did a clean install.
I do have Vista in my C drive as an "old" OS file. get the emails and address imported into Thunderbird from my disk file.
Are there any way to save Thunderbird email clients configured email accounts details (email address, passwords etc)?

View 4 Replies View RelatedOne of the biggest annoyances when setting up wireless networks is remembering the security key and typing it correctly so that you can connect all laptops and netbooks to it. Windows 7 makes it easy to export your wireless settings from one machine to another.
The backup of the wireless networks settings can be easily done from Windows 7, and the settings can be saved to a USB stick, and then the settings can be imported on laptops & netbooks running Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7.
i've added a fax account and can see all the sent items but none of the received ones. yet a vista client attached to the same server doesnt exhibit this problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some time I face a strange situation in my WLM client. In Inbox folder the old emails dissapear, only emails from last five or ten days remaining availabe. On the IMAP server the emails are not deleted. If I delete the email account on WLC and recreate it all mails are syncronized and appear in Inbox. After a while the problem repeat - old emails dissapear, only last few days emails remaining available. The problem appear only on Inbox folder and only on WLM. Sent folder is OK. On Thunderbird i don't have any problem, Inbox folder is corectly synchronized.
View 9 Replies View RelatedThe problem I'm having is that when sorting my inbox by 'From', it says no items are there and the bar spins along as if it's searching. If I choose to sort my inbox by anything else it works fine.I can also sort all other folders by every attribute, including 'From's so am unsure as to why I can't do it in the inbox.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSpent many years using Outlook Express and really liked that I could have multiple email accounts use the same inbox. Live Mail uses its "quick view" to appear to combine all your accounts into a single inbox but maintains a "real" folder structure for each account. Can I make Live Mail use a single set of folders (in, sent, deleted, etc.) or am I stuck with MS' design?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just set up Microsoft 2010 this week and was configuring Outlook 2010. After everything was done, I found that every time I send an email, a copy of it is automatically sent to my inbox. This would normally be fixable by applying a rule (every email I send to my own account be automatically deleted or something to that extent), but this email account is for the entire company, and they are still being forwarded the copies that I send.
Would this issue have anything to do with me using 2010 and my co-workers using 2007? Or maybe because we're using gmail, which hasn't been confirmed to work with Outlook 2010?
Once again I( have logged into my Hotmail email account I can see all my mail but when I click onto a mail it does not open. If I right clcik and select open in goes back to hotmail home page.

But all my Message folders are sitting in Windows live Mail in a seperate folder called Imported Folder/Local Folder at the bottom. How do I move all the imported Folders so they are in my INBOX - instead of being a seperate folder at bottom of screen. I would like it to look as close as it can be to Outlook Express that I am used to.
View 9 Replies View RelatedEvery so often - not each time I open Windows Live Mail but daily or every other day there is no inbox. Also my (only) email account has disappeared. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been using Thunderbird for my e-mail account. Somehow, Thunderbird was updated to 10.0. Now my e-mail texts are so small that I can barely read them. I downloaded an application that allowed me to increase the size of the fonts in the listing. However, the messages are still small. I tried setting the options to a larger font but that did not work. Two questions: Is there some way to increase the size of the text in both the email list and the messages. Two, can I just remove the new version and download an earlier version of Thunderbird. I don't know what version I was using, but I was perfectly satisfied with it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been trying for a week to do this, but no luck. I can't find a way to transfer from WindowsMail to Thunderbird in Windows 7.
Every time I try to import, it doesn't work. I downloaded an AdOn for Thunderbird, as recomended on various sites, but that didn't work in Vista or Windows 7.
My setup: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, Gmail. Messages from another computer using Thunderbird are received as attachments(I don't know why). First I have to download them, which is a royal pain. No matter what I use to read them I get the html looking stuff. Gmail is working fine as long as the messages are not from Thunderbird. Everything else on my puter seems to be working ok.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter moving an email to my 'saved stuff' folder within the Storage folder, I delete the original item within the Inbox. I find that the saved item has also vanished. This has happened over 6 times. I keep restoring the item by sending it to myself again from another source. I've been assuming that an item in the Inbox that is also in the Storage folder area would result in having two emails on my machine. Is this wrong? Is one a shortcut?
