like the title says I have a problem with Crysis 2. I installed the high textures and the dx11 pack. As I started the game my screen went black and I saw a blue box on my screen saying: "Frequencies are not supported". I only can window the game and then I can see the game normaly. I can't play the game in full screen when I enabled dx 11.

I recently re-installed windows and am now trying to install the DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010). All goes well, it installs everything, but as it finished I get this error: I have tried redownloading, using other installers and updating my graphics drivers. Nothing will work. It's probably worth mentioning that the first time I tried installing, about a week ago, my computer totally froze in the middle of the install and I had to force restart.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Gigabyte Z68 Mobo, with onboard sound card. Running win 7 64 ultimate. Ever since setting up the computer I've noticed that the sound distorts at certain frequencies. For some tracks it's perfectly clear (electronic music), for others that have a lot of higher frequency noise, there's a lot of distortion (example rock). It's quite annoying. I've tried installing different drivers, rolling back, uninstalling, etc but to no avail. I've researched it online and it seems it's a relatively common problem with Realtek HD and win 7. I have no idea what to do anymore. I'm using the TOSlink port to connect to my sound system, but all the ports essentially have this distortion, some slightly more than other or at different frequencies.

I uninstalled a couple of toolbars for Firefox the other day using the Uninstaller in Advanced System Care 5. I think it was the Power Clean utility which has caused the problem. Now I cant access any of my folders or shortcuts on my desktop or in the Start Menu (Control Panel, My Computer, Documents etc.) the msg 'no such interface supported' pops up. The USB connections are not working either. All non windows programs are working fine such as Mozilla, Bit Torrent, Picasa and Wifi. Do I need to reinstall Windows 7to fix the problem and will reinstalling Windows wipe all my data of my hard drives? I returned the computer to the previous restore point but it had no effect

the issues im having are
when i right click desktop and press resoloution or personlize im getting error message ___no such interface is supported___
when i add a dock (rocket dock or nexus) im getting similar error when i add links to dock
im unable to custimize taskbar in bottom right and thus not being able to remove unwanted icons on view
the system properties link isnt working on link when i open my computer
and windows experience isnt working either for the last three problems i click the link but nothing happens
ive trying doing a repair install but get error message saying icant do it on this operating system..i suspect this happens because i installed 7 first then xp and it was booting straight into xp so i used easy bcd to give me an option to boot into either operating systems. ..but ive recently deleted xp but my computer could still think its xp but thats only i guess, i could be wrong
is there anyway to fix these errors im experiencing. also if there no soloution to these errors ,if i reinstalled using upgrade would i keep all my games and folders.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI had the same problem yesterday, When I installed the game. My laptop wouldn't even switch on properly yesterday, That is now fixed and I'm still having game issues. I Installed steam then Just Cause, took about 2 hours. It said it was ready to play so I clicked played, A black screen comes up, flashes a few times, the a box comes up.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to back up all my important data onto an external hdd. The external hdd i am using is a WD 2tb. I am currently running Win 7 x64 with 2 x hdd wd 2tb set-up in raid 1 for hdd failure. I would like the external one as a backup weekly in case of file corruption. However when i go into setup, i get the following msg "The request is not supported" Error 0x80070032. I have read through a few threads on this forum with regards to task scheduler and event log they all seem to be set as required. There is also suggestion that win 7 may not be able to handle large hdd sector size, something about 4k versus 512.

No such interface supported

I have compacted and run detect and repair but still no collections and I can't add any clip art to it. I have searched microsoft support but the only answer I found did not work and seemed to be for XP or earlier.

The launcher would start, then I would click play, and a directx update window would open, when I clicked the next button on the installer for directx (the window did not provide a version), I would get the error box telling me to look in my directx.log file, which contained many lines of error code about missing cab files. I then used the link provided in a closed thread on this forum that took me to the Microsoft Directx software page, I downloaded the latest rev of the runtime sdk kit, after 6 minutes of installation, RIFT launched perfectly. My little brother purchased Windows 7 and did an upgrade install without doing a fresh install. He lost all of his old game installs and now isn't able to play any of them. We found the folders in windows.old, but none of the games are working. We are trying to get Crysis to work and looked in the registry for the serial key and we couldn't find it. Why couldn't windows have found a better way of doing the upgrade install?

Since then, I've played Shogun 2: TW (with DirectX 11 enabled), NFS: Hot Pursuit, Rage, Crysis, CoD: MW2 and Mass Effect all without problems. In the first couple of days, I also ran 3DMark06 and was able to go through the whole test without any problems.Recently, I tried running 3DMark11 and for some reason, it wouldn't start. I'd see the little blue circle next to the mouse spinning a little bit and then it'd disappear and nothing would happen. A quick look in the Task Manager shows me that it's not running at all. I then tried PCMark Vantage and the same thing happened. Then I went back and tried 3DMark06 and the same thing is happening with that too now. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the programs as well as uninstalling my GFX card drivers as well as doing a Driver Sweep and then re-installing the drivers but still the same thing. My games still worked fine though.But now I've just installed Crysis 2 and it appears to be having the same problem. All my other games are working fine though. What could be causing this? View 2 Replies View RelatedToshiba Satelite i7 3D Q series.Crysis & Crysis Warhead tend to overclock my hard drive to the point of freezing both screen & HD. It works on HP Presario 700 fair. Tried everything but, it seems that it wants to use the HD to process and not the pagefile, and that, I can't even find in the files. Everything else runs normal. Checked using Performance program. I know Directx10 is a pain but, my diagnosis using DXDiag says that it uses DX11 & I have a large pagefile?Hid the fxc files for the program so as it could not use them but, again, it still suffers the same fate?

Game was working fine 2 days ago when I last played. Now it starts up as normal but when I load the level where I left off it freezes at 82%. Error message says AppCrash etc...
I tried starting at previous levels but they don't work either. I haven't running any scans or anything so I can't think why it went from working fine to not working?
After I updated my Windows 7, I clicked the Crysis 2 icon and the message popped up: ""crysis 2 (TM) has stopped working." I believe it's something has to do with the update preventing me to play C2.

Okay now the problem is when i play Crysis even on MEDIUM i get laggy/choppy gameplay and i checked the fps (this was a long time ago) i don't remember what they were but just that they were skipping around. I don't know that much about gaming but i figured more ram might help, plus i wanted more ram regardless because my downloads are only like 400kb/s.
I already ordered enough ram so that my total will be 6GB. Yes i know that i will have to take the other stick out bla bla bla i already calculated that. I'm not 100% sure how good quality it is but this is what i bought: 2GB PC4200 533MHz DDR2 SINGLE STICK 2GB PC-2 4200 RAM - eBay (item 130315129371 end time Jul-26-09 01:02:12 PDT)
Anyways getting to the point, tomorrow i will have enough to buy another one of those to have a total of 7GB ram is it worth it? will a 1GB increase even help that much? (and yes I'm running 64 bit)
