Oct 1, 2009I'm trying to 'Create a system repair disc' but keep getting this error message: System repair disc could not be created. The request is not supported (0x80070032). This is trying to use my CDRW.
If I try to use my DVDRW the error message I get is same but with a Unspecified error (0x8004005).
I've googled and tried ms support but can't find a solution. Any help would be appreciated...TIA

Dec 17, 2011I recently re-installed windows and am now trying to install the DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010). All goes well, it installs everything, but as it finished I get this error: I have tried redownloading, using other installers and updating my graphics drivers. Nothing will work. It's probably worth mentioning that the first time I tried installing, about a week ago, my computer totally froze in the middle of the install and I had to force restart.

Jun 25, 2011I had the same problem yesterday, When I installed the game. My laptop wouldn't even switch on properly yesterday, That is now fixed and I'm still having game issues. I Installed steam then Just Cause, took about 2 hours. It said it was ready to play so I clicked played, A black screen comes up, flashes a few times, the a box comes up.

The game will now exit. Try starting the game with /failsafe if the problem persists. I have windows 7 Home premium x64.
DirectX Install Admin Error?
May 19, 2012I'm a student on my school laptop and i'm having trouble installing Directx on the laptop. Everytime i try to install it, it says i need administrative rights. Im not looking for a hack or anything to make myself an admin, i was just wondering if there was a way i could install it without needing admin rights, or if there is a zip or rar file that has it pre-installed?.

Jan 30, 2011I *WAS* having this problem trying to play RIFT Beta, however, a quick search of your forum gave me just the answer that solved my problem. The launcher would start, then I would click play, and a directx update window would open, when I clicked the next button on the installer for directx (the window did not provide a version), I would get the error box telling me to look in my directx.log file, which contained many lines of error code about missing cab files. I then used the link provided in a closed thread on this forum that took me to the Microsoft Directx software page, I downloaded the latest rev of the runtime sdk kit, after 6 minutes of installation, RIFT launched perfectly. and i have not been able to successfully install DirectX9.0c. over the already installed DirectX 11.

i am not at all able to play any DirectX 9.0c or DirectX10 PC Games. each time i attempt to install Directx9.0c during installation it is not able to complete. or even start installing. on the windows 7 beta 7048 could someone help explain what i need to do to get this working.

Mar 1, 2010I have an emu 1820m soundcard installed in my computer. It seems to be functioning perfectly. I can play dvd'd, cd's, iTunes, etc and the sound plays through my speakers without a problem. I want to record some sounds from a dvd but i cant get anything to record. Recording device is set to Wave EMU DSP as the default device. Im using Audacity to record and have set the recording preference device to be Wave (E-MU _-DSP). When I hit record I get an error 'Error while opening sound device. Please check the input device settings and the project template'And I cant record anything.In the built in Windows sound recorder, when I hit record, I get this error 'An audio recording device cannot be found' Everything seems to be functioning perfectly, yet i just cant record anything.

Nov 17, 2011Having opened a Works Database I open a Word document to create labels. "Mailings" produces the Mail Merge boxes. Having selected "use existing list" I get a box containing various coding options, Western(Windows) being highlighted - the rest are different languages, e.g. Turkish, Korean etc. On selecting "Select recipients" I get a list in one of the obscure languages. I have tried various methods but am unable to get the list from my database. Labels used to work perfectly with Word 2007 and MS Works.

Jul 24, 2009the latest rtm extract did not come as an iso. Now there is a boot folder, but I can't create the correct boot disc at all.....
Everytime I burn the disc it just doesn't want to boot to it, it just bypasses it. So I can't get a clean install going.... I am running nero 9, any help would be greatly appreciated. I am not that skilled at making boot discs, detailed instructions would be great.
Asus Recovery Partition Creation?
Dec 18, 2011I recently purchased an Asus k52J laptop but decided to return it soon after. Unfortunatly even though the laptop is in new condition they won't accept it because I deletd the recovery partition like an idiot! I asked if I just restored to factory settings if they would accept it then, they still refused because it wouldn't have the recovery partition, I tried to create the recovery partion normally but it wont work since Windows 7 tries to backup the entire C drive instead of just the boot files and it inveitavbly runs out of room on the hard drive. Is there anyone way to recreate that original recovery partition or at least something that will fit in 19 gig partition?
