Error Message 'javascript:void(0)' - Unable To Open Some Pages
Sep 11, 2011
I've recently been having problems opening some pages in Internet Explorer. Today for example I wanted to go to HP's support site. I got to the main site but when I clicked on Product Support the page wouldn't open and the message 'javascript:void(0)' appeared in the bottom left hand corner. It seems to be a fairly random problem as it only affects some websites.
I have read the Windows Mail tutorial but I have a problem.
I have used Take Ownership and removed Windows Live Mail 64 and installed Windows Mail 64 as per tutorial.
I have the shortcut on the desktop but when I try to open from there it says:-
Windows Mail could not be started. The application was unable to open the Windows Mail message store. Windows Mail was unable to locate its message database. If you’ve moved the database files to a new location, click okay to reset the database to that location.
I clicked okay and I now click on the hidden folder Widows Mail hoping that will do the trick, it doesn’t!
The next error message I get is:-
Windows Mail could not be started. The application was unable to open the Windows Mail message store.
The last error message I get is:-
Windows Mail could not be started because MSOE.DLL could not be initialised.
When I open Task Scheduler, I get the following error message: an error has occurred for task realupgradelogontasks-1-5-21-2172834406-3963835389-1001. error message:the specified account name is not valid. What does it mean and how do I get rid of the error message?
i recently turned my computer on and its changed, and when i try to open a programme it comes up with a error message saying:'These files can't be opened. Your internet security settings prevented one or more files from being opened.' i cant show you a printscreen because i cant access my files ? but here is a similiar thread: Internet security settings prevents one or more files from being opened.
I've been trying to get Windows 7 working for a couple days, without success. A friend of mine told me about this forum, so I figured I's try my luck and ask my fellow Windows users.
I have a valid, working copy of Windows 7 build 7000x32 on disk. The same disk has been used on other computers and works fine. However on my machine, it begins the installation just fine, until it reaches the blue Windows 7 background screen. Then it stops. No error, it just stops working.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? I find it extremely frustrating.
when I go to my email and somebody has sent me a link and I click on it , It says : Secured logins (name of link ) Application not found .. This has never happened to me.
I turn the computer on, Windows (7 Home Premium, on a Dell Inspiron) starts, I go to my logon screen, type my password, hear the music and see the "Welcome" screen for a long time (3 minutes or so). Then I get a small error window with the message The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000006). Please Click OK to continue.I click OK, and I see a frozen screen (black, not blue). That's it. Nothing else happen. Nothing works, except Ctrl+Alt+Del, Task Manager, where however, I cannot do anything.I can start window with the command prompt, or in safe mode, but I cannot go to explorer works (I have run explorer from the cmd prompt, with the same result as described above
I have Win7 64bit OS & Office 2003 which I have been using perfectly ok but a couple of days ago it stopped editing emails in word I reloaded Office & then Avast was not found so I reloaded that but I now can't open a link from email. When i do click on a link I get the following message "this operation has been canceled due to the restrictions in effect on this computer. contact your system administator" I am the system administator? Also I have not been able to update Office 2003 & some other updates.
Last week Friday, I had problems scanning from my HP6110, so I restarted my computer. When it restarted, it went into an automatic repair that said would take a "few minutes." After about half an hour, I tried to cancel the repair, but a message indicated it would not stop. After about an hour, I hard booted the system, but the computer would not start. I let the repair continue and was able to start the computer after two or three more hours.Since that repair, I have been unable to open many programs, including QuickBooks (2010, 2011, 2012 & 2012 Enterprise), a tax program, IE, Kaspersky and iTunes. I am also unable to install windows updates, and get error code 80070641. Adobe Flash is not working. Kaspersky will not "turn on." (When the Windows update problem started, I also had error code 641. That is now gone.)
I cannot restore to a point where the computer worked -- the last restore I have is from after the problem. I have tried re-registering msiexec, run MS Fixit Install/Uninstall, Fixit 50809, Fixit Performance, Fixit wuRNP, installed and completed a Spybot scan (no problems), tried to install an updated Java (I can't listen to music via my browser because of a Java issue), merged the default .exe associations in my registry, checked my Event Viewer logs for issues when my computer went through repair, deleted every instance of Norton/Symantec security that I could find, tried sfc scannow but got hung at 41%, completed chkdsk, ran Windows Defender quick scan and found no problems and a couple of other things. Some programs work, e.g., Firefox, Word, Excel and Outlook. I tried to find something common between the non-working vs working programs, and the only thing I can see is that the programs that are not working are not showing up in my control panel.I bought the laptop used, but the prior owner only used it about a dozen times. Prior to these issues, I was able to install, scan, print and open programs with no problems. I'm running Windows 7 x64.
I have a problem with BROWSING the WWW when i am logged into tunngle, i am also unable to log into uPlay for example, which is used for playing Far Cry 3. The weird thing is, that my P2P and Skype continue to work without any issues. If it's any good, my internet connection isn't stable neither when I'm NOT logged to tunngle. Some times my browser works normally, sometimes it doesn't work at all and it acts like I'm not connected to the internet , however, P2P works all the time, even when the browser is "dead".
I'm unable to print emails or web pages.Dialogue box shows 'the internet has stopped working' and no printing information is displayed. It then recovers the tab when the dialog box is closed. Am running IE8, However can print from library.Have tried disabling firewall and altering Internet options settings. Same with 3 different printers wired and wireless.Have tried resetting internet options.
When moving or renaming files I frequently get an error messages informing me that "The action can't be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program". This typically happens with the second or third folder I try to rename or move. Navigating away to another folder and then coming back or closing explorer and reopening it usually helps but on the second rename or move I'm back to square one. I've been reading and searching on the forum and this is what I have tried so far:stop the windows media player network sharing servicepause indexingtemporarily disable antivirus softwareused the system file checker to check integrityall to no avail. This is without a doubt the most annoying "bug" I have run into so far as it makes it virtually impossible to get anything done or organised. Has anyone found a real solution to this problem that does not involve manually unlocking every single folder before working with it (using 3rd party software
I have internet access, but when I am in normal mode it says that the page took too long to load so it couldn't connect to it. I have tried nearly everything, but nothing so far. When I am in safe mode, I can view any page. So that's how I am able to post this
Is there a computer program that will allow me to shut-down my computer and then when I turn the computer on it will be exactly the same as when I logged off, i.e programs and webpages restored?
Are netbooks supposed to take 10-30 seconds (timed. usually 25) a page on the Internet, and a very long time to open it and control panel. To be at 75-80% physical memory with nothing on, and spike from 10-100% CPU usage. Is this just how netbooks are? Or are yours as fast as P4/Laptops? Is there something defective..if not just going to be returning it you know.Aspire One 522 with a AMD Dual-Core C-50 1GHz Processor. 1GB RAM It's brand new. Running Windows 7 starter.Tried Firefox too.
I have a damaged PCIx16 slot & need to replace my motherboard, when I re-install W7 will it see my mobo as a whole new machine (1 copy per machine) and reject my W7 serial when it tries to activate online?
I had a virus a few weeks ago and had to do a system restore. Don't know if my problems started than but I know I have them now. My IE 9 (64bit) running on Windows 7 does not show any Javascripts. The Javascripts tag is enabled in the security option and I do see the Javascript with both Chrome and FF, but not IE 9. Also, when I go to IE 9's about box there is no version, cyper strenth or product ID. I tried to reinstall the program, but could not because I would get an error notice that a new version of IE is already installed. I also tried to install IE 10, but it would not install and messed up my IE9 to the point that I had to do a system restore again. I have been searching the web without too much luck.
I've written a batch file to run at start up to look for a domain controller to determine whether to use our intranet as the IE home page or external website. This works fine, but I'm wondering whether I can use a pack file instead? Does anyone know a javascript command which looks for a specified domain controller?
This is probably not the right website to ask about website development, but surely some of the community has some experience.I was wondering if anyone knows of any free open-source JavaScript script that creates a slideshow with sliding frames. What I need is one that is free, has no kind of watermark, and can be modified as much as needed.
I am using Windows 7 and IE8 in my application. I am opening a new pop window using window.open(). After submit, my request will reload the same opup. While reloading the page is hiding behind the parent window. I have tried using window.focus() to bring the popup front, its not working. This problem occurs only if i use Win 7 and IE8
I have already reported to Sony to but i heard their take their time but thats the one thing what i dont have at the moment so i know many people here know about that stuff to. So anyway. Some time ago SP1 launched for Windows 7. I installed but it but something went it wrong and it didn't install correcly and then i was forced to use System restore. Everything worked and i haven't used SP1 because i don't want to risk screwing up my computer before some important things, i got plenty of time later for that . I just uninstalled Acronis True Image 2011 from my Home Premium 64 and when I rebooted and tried to open Explorer I got a message saying that I needed to install the above dll.
I have Windows 7, Live Mail. Mail with attachments come in with no problems, like photo attachments, but my mail will not go out with photos attached. They are not huge files. I get an error message "error/tasks" but then that screen freezes.
Before my computer was working fine when i am connecting to the internet using a portable usb internet huawei. Then one morning when i tried to connect i got this "Error: 720".
