Can't Find A Folder?

I recently saved a PSD file that I had received in Outlook. When I opened it in Photoshop the folder it came from contained all kinds of photos including some I don't want to keep. I wrote down the name of the folder and figured I could search for it and come back to it later.I have searched all over my computer and this folder doesnt exist!! I wrote it down so I know it's there. I checked ALL of the options to show folders, directories, even system files. No matter how many times I search it just isnt there.This folder has letters and numbers so I know it's not a folder I created. Im guessing it's a folder if images I've received in Outlook maybe? 1.I had created a locker on my desktop using "Folder Lock" software.
2.Subsequently I made the locker invisible using "Folder Protect" software.
3.When I was trying to add more files to the locker created in 1 the locker tried to "increase it's size on the run"...
4.This process failed and "Folder Lock" shut down and since then I cannot locate the locker anymore on my PC nor can I see it in "Folder Protect"
5.Having read on a forum, I uninstalled "Folder Protect" and reinstalled...but that did not help..I still could not find the Locker.
6.I even uninstalled and reinstalled "Folder Lock"...even this did not help
7.I understand the lockers created by "Folder Lock" are UNDELETABLE.
8.Clearly my locker is somewhere on my hard disk but I am unable to locate it.

I need to change the name of a folder back to its original name but i forgot it! The program im using cant load my files because i changed the directory name (the folder) and i need to change the name back so that my program will reload the files so i dont have to do it all over again. The program im using it after effects cs5.5 by adobe I tried looking in the folders properties for the name but didnt see anything!

I have just moved to a new computer with Win 7 64. A relative has given me a CD that is supposed to have some family history data on it. It was created in DOS, but has been updated and tested in XP. I cannot get the program on the disk(Family Tree Maker) to run in 7, so I installed the XP mode. The program will run, but it does not find the data. Thinking that this might be because the program is set up to only access a limited set of drives (a:, c:, and d, I copied all the CD to my C drive � no luck. Using Win XP Explorer I cannot find the data either. My conclusion is that some how the data did not get copied, but before bothering my cousin again, I want to exhaust all other alternatives.

im trying to make my media drive more fun,and i've been playing with the icons.when i realized that there are icons i can download of the actual shows or whatever,i started going that route.my only problem is aesthetics-i have no uniformity,and in some cases i cant find the icons (.ico,to be clear)on the internet.i've tried converting jpegs into icons,i've tried programs that convert them into icons(which had horrible results),ultimately,i just need some freakin help.if you can either make the icons for me or point me in the right direction,thatd be super.i've found some sites that have downloadable icons,but they dont have them for all tv shows,or things like that.

I am running Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit. I have recently started playing Governor of Poker, (the full version). However, although my game saves while the PC is on, as soon as I switch off the saved game is lost, (very annoying if you have completed 3 or 4 levels and have to start again). The other problem is that I can't find the saved game folder. It is not in the usual places ie appdata or programdata on the C drive.

My fingers were sticky and I accidentally moved a folder, however, I don't know where I put it.
I was looking @ a tree-view of my drives so I could have dragged the folder just about anywhere, however, I'm pretty sure--not certain, but highly confident--thatI dropped in @ a location that is contained in one of my libraries, that's the good news.
Now for the bad news: The name of the folder is rather common and I suspect that I have a couple of hundred folders with this name.
I admit it--I don't really understand Windows Search--it never seems to give me what I want, much less what I expect.
I'm hoping that with the vast number of Date related fields in the Choose Details window (Date accessed, Date acquired, Date archived, Date completed, Date created, ...) one of them will be updated whenever a folder is moved from location A to location B--but, you know what they say about "hope."
Bottom Line--here's my request-- How do I search for a folder with a name of, say, "XYZ"? Is there any way I can make my search CaSe SpecIfic?

i recently got an SSD therefore i wont to migrate my windows to it, I have a program which does this for me but when i go into my c: the "Windows" Folder is 37.7GB. But after looking on the web i noticed that most users installation size is around 10-15GBs
Note: Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit.

I recently sent my laptop to HP for a fan repair and before I sent it off I accidentally deleted my Downloads folder and then cleared out my recycling bin.Well, I got my laptop back today and went to download a few files. After doing so, I realized that I can't find those downloaded files. I have no idea where those files went. They were .rar and ZIP files and I can't seem to locate them. Does anybody know how I can find those downloaded files (where they might have ended up with the Downloads folder gone) and how I can restore my Downloads folder

Due to a NTFS hickup, a folder (1,3TB) ended wrongly up inside the system volume information (win7) folder. Wanted to move it back to it's root, but to no avail...
Tried take ownership, cacls, safe mode, tools etc.
Need to to really move it, because the 2TB disc had no room to do a copy. It's really a FAT/NTFS table issue.

I have a boot drive which is 250gb (My C drive). I have Win 7 and some apps on it.I have installed Steam on my other hard drive. So far most games have been cooperative and install their folders close to Steam!However, one game in particular (Empire Total War) has installed one of its folders in "C:UsersXYZAppDataRoamingThe Creative Assembly".From experience from my old PC, I know this folder (The Creative Assembly) can grow to close to 20gb in a matter of a year. I don't want that to happen and therefore thought of relocating, moving, or redirecting this folder (The Creative Assembly) to another location.How do I do that and is that recommended? I installed new folders, then decided I wanted to move them to become subfolders of another folder. Drag & drop (left-click) moved the folders to become subfolders, but left the folder icons in the old location as well. When I try to delete them, I get an error message saying the folder doesn't exist at that location. OK, it shouldn't, but why can't I/how do I delete the (old) folder icons?

I've created a batch file containing the xcopy command to copy the entire partitioned drive to a folder on an external hard drive.However, when it is executed it works fine but the destination folder, called Backup, becomes a hidden system folder. Does any one know why this is the happening.I'm performing the xcopy on my parents computer, which is on Windows 7.

Cannot delete a noname empty system folder under Computer caused by deletion of the name only of a 16Gb USB network drive of a D-Link DIR-635 router network. I am having trouble configuring the router for a printer and a USB HD (the 16Gb drive is the test drive). I think this noname folder is part of my router configuration problem.Explorer shows my C:, D:, E: and F: (DVD) drives and under them an empty noname folder. I can access Desktop under DOS (at Admin level) but that does not show the Computer and drive details. I have run Unlocker but without effect?
