Removal Of Noname Folder In Computer Folder?

Cannot delete a noname empty system folder under Computer caused by deletion of the name only of a 16Gb USB network drive of a D-Link DIR-635 router network. I am having trouble configuring the router for a printer and a USB HD (the 16Gb drive is the test drive). I think this noname folder is part of my router configuration problem.Explorer shows my C:, D:, E: and F: (DVD) drives and under them an empty noname folder. I can access Desktop under DOS (at Admin level) but that does not show the Computer and drive details. I have run Unlocker but without effect?

During multiple file coping(file transferring) from one folders to other folders while minimizing all the folder at the time, check the status in taskbar, it showing all folder as file coping folder. is it expected in aero themas or its issue.

Due to a NTFS hickup, a folder (1,3TB) ended wrongly up inside the system volume information (win7) folder. Wanted to move it back to it's root, but to no avail...
Tried take ownership, cacls, safe mode, tools etc.
Need to to really move it, because the 2TB disc had no room to do a copy. It's really a FAT/NTFS table issue.

I have a boot drive which is 250gb (My C drive). I have Win 7 and some apps on it.I have installed Steam on my other hard drive. So far most games have been cooperative and install their folders close to Steam!However, one game in particular (Empire Total War) has installed one of its folders in "C:UsersXYZAppDataRoamingThe Creative Assembly".From experience from my old PC, I know this folder (The Creative Assembly) can grow to close to 20gb in a matter of a year. I don't want that to happen and therefore thought of relocating, moving, or redirecting this folder (The Creative Assembly) to another location.How do I do that and is that recommended? I installed new folders, then decided I wanted to move them to become subfolders of another folder. Drag & drop (left-click) moved the folders to become subfolders, but left the folder icons in the old location as well. When I try to delete them, I get an error message saying the folder doesn't exist at that location. OK, it shouldn't, but why can't I/how do I delete the (old) folder icons?

I have a folder in the computer, in the folder there are many subfoldrers and many files in the subfolders. i wanted to the see details of the content of the folder and suddenly I see all the files in the folder, I don't see the subfolders any more, I see all the files of the subfolders also, its 15000 files that are not organized any more in subfolders, i can't find the way to bring it back to how it was, that i see the subfolders?

I've created a batch file containing the xcopy command to copy the entire partitioned drive to a folder on an external hard drive.However, when it is executed it works fine but the destination folder, called Backup, becomes a hidden system folder. Does any one know why this is the happening.I'm performing the xcopy on my parents computer, which is on Windows 7.

I am really perplexed as to what is going on with a Documents folder. It's not MY DOCUMENTS, but rather, the Libraries-Documents folder (versus the my documents under my user profile/name).The folder is FULL of garbage.This includes things that appear to be "temp files" (but with valid file types such as jpg, mp3)also in there doc files, png, tdb, diz, ebc, and others I don't even recognize. Some of these things include package files from the Sims series games (there were a TON of them in there) and others included pictures that I did NOT save locally (as if it were a temp file from the web)There are even many duplicates of some of these pictures. Some I *DID* save as part of a genealogy project, but I didn't save them there.I saved them in a completely different folder with a completely different name.I've got a LOT of work ahead of me cleaning this sucker out (thousands of files to the tune of 16.5gigs...seriously).How are these files getting here and how can I prevent it from happening again?

I frequently use a folder name "Other" to group files that don't fit in any other folder. The problem here is that this folder falls somewhere in the middle of the rest of the folders when I sort alphabetically (which isn't very pretty). Would it be possible to get this folder after the rest of the folders?
Presumably, I'd to have to find a character that comes after "z". Whatever ordering Windows uses, it isn't the Ascii table that many people refer to.

My computer folder shows nothing, no HDDs or DVD drives. I checked disk manager everything is properly assigned. I can still open everything via typing C or D in the adress bar, but it's quite annoying.

I know this question has been asked several times, and I've done a lot of research into it already, but I still can't seem to change my folder (in this case D:Movies) to be shared an accessed by my Vista x64 primary computer.
When I go into my Network and access the computer, it lets me view the shared folders that I've set sharing on, but when I actually double click the folder to open it I get this error message:
Windows cannot access XXXXX-DownloadsMovies
Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise, there might be a problem with your network. To try to identify and resolve network problems, click Diagnose. The error code is 0x80070005.
When I diagnose it tells me that the folder is available but my user account doesn't have access. However, I've already disabled password protected sharing, and I've accessed the Public section of my sharing settings and enabled everything that I read in previous posts, all to no avail.
I also read up on selecting the folder, then clicking the Share With.. tab and selecting "Everyone Read/Write", every time I try doing this as soon as I select the Share With.. tab again it's defaulted back to Nobody.
Here's the part I'm not sure could be causing all of this:
This folder, Movies, was originally on my Main Desktop PC (the Windows 7 machine is my new downloads machine) I bought a new 1.5TB sata2 hdd and set it up on my x64 vista (main) and transferred my movies folder on to it, then I uninstalled the hard drive and reinstalled it on my windows 7 x64 (downloads/secondary pc)
So the folder was originally on another computer, but was swapped via my new 1.5 TB hard drive, I'm not sure if this is related as I'm not a guru when it comes to any OS.
Regardless, I really need to get this folder on my Windows 7 machine accessible on my Windows Vista primary as soon as possible. If you need anymore information regarding either of my computers please let me know and I'll gather it as fast as I can,

I used to connect a Nokia 6700s phone to my Sony Vaio using a USB cable, but I no longer use that phone. However, even though the phone is not connected I see it in Start - Computer under Other (1): MyName Nokia 6700s System Folder If I double-click this entry nothing happens, but if I right-click it then I get the following: Windows Explorer has stopped working Windows is checking for a solution to the problem.... Windows Explorer is restarting ..... I would love to be able to delete this entry! I have looked in Device Manager but it is not there. There is also no drive letter assigned to it.

tried everything to delete this folder on my external HDD, yet nothing works. Every time I try to delete it says "You require permission to change this folder." Changed the permissions. Nothing. I even managed to get the lock off of the folder but it still wont delete. I restarted my computer, downladed LockHunter and a couple other programs.

A twist on the creation of user folders on a drive other than C: in Win 7 Ultimate. Does anyone know if one could designate a user folder location such as E:Data instead of using the users name and being a subdirectory of "Users". I am the ONLY one on my computer - and it would seem much easier to look to the top folder in the E drive than clicking thru E:, users, name, documents, project. I fully realize that I can set up shortcuts, but when you are in an application that wants to place a file somewhere else and presents you with an explorer windows it is a pain. The only method I thought of is using redirection with symbolic links.

Everything was good with my hard drive but now the last time I opened my pc I noticed something really odd. In "My Computer" folder my Local Disk icon had changed. Instead of being an icon that displays a disk, it is an icon that displays something like a crab! What is that?! Is it some kind of virus? How can I change it to the default icon?!

It is easy to share a folder with Everyone, or to share it with other user accounts on the same computer, but how can I share a folder with a specific user account on ANOTHER computer in the workgroup?Reason: in my neighborhood, four friends are connected by cable to the same router, and we all belong to the same workgroup. Each computer has a folder (named "public") that we share with everyone else, but I also want to have another folder (named "private") that I can share with only other computers in my apartment, but not with my friends (on other apartments).
