i recently got an SSD therefore i wont to migrate my windows to it, I have a program which does this for me but when i go into my c: the "Windows" Folder is 37.7GB. But after looking on the web i noticed that most users installation size is around 10-15GBs
Note: Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit.
I try to fix the problem in C:Windows/System32 but, I can't find the folder name System32 in my Windows folder.So, how to find it? where?

2.Subsequently I made the locker invisible using "Folder Protect" software.
3.When I was trying to add more files to the locker created in 1 the locker tried to "increase it's size on the run"...
4.This process failed and "Folder Lock" shut down and since then I cannot locate the locker anymore on my PC nor can I see it in "Folder Protect"
5.Having read on a forum, I uninstalled "Folder Protect" and reinstalled...but that did not help..I still could not find the Locker.
6.I even uninstalled and reinstalled "Folder Lock"...even this did not help
7.I understand the lockers created by "Folder Lock" are UNDELETABLE.
8.Clearly my locker is somewhere on my hard disk but I am unable to locate it.
I've been trying for around 6 hours today to get my new computer up and running, but I've run into a problem, my sata disk wont be located during the windows 7 installation. "No drives were found" I've turned on AHCI and I've downloaded drivers from Gigabyte's homepage, but I get the message "To continue installation, use the Load Driver option to install 32-bit and signed 64-bit drivers. installing an unsigned 64-bit device driver is not supported and might result in an unusable Windows installation." Anyone have any ideas on what I can do?

I intalled quite some time ago a Windows7 RC1 64 bit, which worked fine and honestly was not bad at all. Unfortunately I didn't use it for a while and now I discovered it expired, so I need a new clean istallation to do my job: find compatibility issues with WIndows 7 professional edition. I received a new DVD with activation key (i guess it must have been downloaded from MSDN) for the purpose.
I'm running windows XP 32 bit right now, but can't install windows 7 because after booting from the DVD it says it can not find a suitable driver. What is this about? I can see all my 4 HDs and the 3 DVDs (one is a Blue Ray driver less than 9 months old ) 2 are sata drivers (a Plaxtor burner and the LG BDD); the 3rd one is an old Toshiba IDE DVD rom (still the faster of the 3). In the installation windows I can browse all drivers and directories, I have unzipped the X58 matheboard drivers in a directory. The installation program can load the drivers (even very very slow).... I tried to load several drivers, but I can't figure out which driver is needed; a DVD rom driver is not available
I bought a new custom PC from ebay, a shop called FreshTech Solutions, so when it arrived I tried installing Windows 7 Home Premium (came with it). Obviously I need to do a custom install, as I'm not upgrading from anything, but when I get to the screen where it asks where I would like to install Windows 7, nothing is listed. I've tried loading from the disc that came with the motherboard, the Windows 7 CD itself, even the C drive (said it needed to format it, but couldn't).

It'ts running win 7 ultimate, all h/w is detected ok apart from the integrated network card, therefore i cannot connect to the router and onto the internet. I was looking @ a tree-view of my drives so I could have dragged the folder just about anywhere, however, I'm pretty sure--not certain, but highly confident--thatI dropped in @ a location that is contained in one of my libraries, that's the good news.

It was created in DOS, but has been updated and tested in XP. I cannot get the program on the disk(Family Tree Maker) to run in 7, so I installed the XP mode. The program will run, but it does not find the data. Thinking that this might be because the program is set up to only access a limited set of drives (a:, c:, and d, I copied all the CD to my C drive � no luck. Using Win XP Explorer I cannot find the data either. My conclusion is that some how the data did not get copied, but before bothering my cousin again, I want to exhaust all other alternatives.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI purchased a vizio all in one desktop model CA24-A2 , with windows 7 installed. I upgraded it to windows 8, but decided to return back to windows 7 because the Metro UI always crashes on me. I purchased a windows 7 disc and booted the computer off the disc. When the installation asks which drive to install it to, nothing appears. For some reason, the installation disc is not reading the drives. I've checked vizio's page, but didn't find any drivers for the hard drive that would work. I check the Bios menu and both drives appear. I've read on other forum about changing the bios mode (AHCI,IDE), but my bios menu is very restricted, and i dont have that option available. I used MiniTool Partition wizard on a bootable cd, and it was able to see my hard drives as well. I added some pictures below. When i try to boot windows with windows 8, "bootmgr is missing" error appears. After restarting my computer several times it seems i only have access to the bios menu f2, and not f8 for recovery.

I am running Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit. I have recently started playing Governor of Poker, (the full version). However, although my game saves while the PC is on, as soon as I switch off the saved game is lost, (very annoying if you have completed 3 or 4 levels and have to start again). The other problem is that I can't find the saved game folder. It is not in the usual places ie appdata or programdata on the C drive.

That's how it was on the 32 bit system, but now on 64 bit, there are more folders to mess with (Program Files and Program Files x86). How do I tell windows to install to the bigger D: drive and not fill up my small C: drive? Also, the programs that were already installed on my D: drive, will they need to be moved to the x86 folder, reinstalled, or can I continue to run them from their current location?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Win7 ultimate 64bit I recieved from a friend. I assumed it was one of his Microsoft apps he gets in his MSDN subscription for free. Anyway, every now and then I would get these pop-ups from Microsoft saying its not genuine. He would give me a script to run that would fix it, until it would happen again.Bottom line I foud out later this was pirated software so I purchased a normal copy (win7 pro 64 bit) to do a reinstal of the software, BUTTTTT now I can't do it because I keep getting these errors saying "Windows was unable to create the required instalation folder 0x80070005". I know the last update for the pirated copy was something to remove "RemoveWAT.exe". I tried to do a restore in Win7 to a previous state but it errored "0x80070001"Any advice on what to do. I don't want to have to reformat the whole drive, because this was a dual boot on a new MAC so I could boot in iether MAC or Win7.
