Just bought this belkin router. Linked one computer through LAN and 4 devices through WIFI or some reason my WIFI devices are not able to read or detect connections to the LAN network
View 1 RepliesI own a Belkin Wireless G Modem/Router. I connect my computer to it via Realtek RTL8139/810x wired network adapter.
Just a moment ago, my computer could not connect to the Internet. When I ran the troubleshooting tool, it suggested to "Make sure the other end of the cable is plugged into the router. If that does not help, try a new cable."
I checked the LED light on the network card, and it appears to be solid red. I'm not too sure about its usual colour when it was working fine. The modem's LED shows that it detected a connection from the cable. I tried to replace the cable with another one, but it the light is still red and the modem still shows that it detects a connection from the cable, but my windows is not able to connect to the modem. It failed to detect any connection.
I am currently using a D-link wireless USB adapter to connect to the modem.
Can anyone tell me what is wrong? Is there a problem with my settings or is the network card damaged?
I have a question about sharing my Internet. Ok my internet provider sends me some analogue signals, my modems gets them, converts them to digital signals and then, sends this Connection to where it should go (I mean I can use this connection using e.g. wifi). I have a vpn connection. I wanna use it on my mobile. My mobile doesn't support vpn configuration. So somehow I should send the vpn connection from my pc and modem. How can I share the internet I am using in my pc using my WiFi modem?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy new Belkin Wireless G router crashes ALWAYS if I try to connect from my Windows 7 Laptop to my Windows XP (home edition) desktop.I try to connect wireless from my Laptop (Windows 7) to my shared printer and shared folders on my wired Windows XP desktop.While entering \192.168.2.3 in my IExplorer of the Windows 7 Laptop: (IP address of XP desktop) immidiately crashes the router and disconnects both computers from the internet. Only solution is to reboot the router.Have tested this various time, but always the same result. Both computers have the same WORKGROUP name.

I have MDT 2010 setup and am in the process of setting up a 2nd share, I created the share with no issues, and created the "link" without issues as weel. I am now trying to get the linked share to replicate, and am getting an error that the "everything" profile is not valid, when it does exist on the new share. I even tried creating a new profile and setting it to that one, still get the exact same error.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a D-Link DIR615 router which I've been using for the past 5 months (no problems whatsoever). After i've got my laptop from the support service I can't seem to successfully connect to my home network.
My phone can connect with no problem to my router. My laptop sees other wireless networks. This is how it goes: when I try to connect it immediately says "unable to connect" when I run the diagnostics I get the "windows did not receive any response from the wireless router" message. I can only connect after like 30 mins of changing the wireless settings (usually SSID and security) from my router + rebooting it countless times. Even then, I usually check "automatically connect" and the next day after I arrive from work, it doesn't really connect automatically and can't even connect to it (unable to connect message). Even typing a wrong passphrase when it's secured it doesn't say "wrong passphrase" but "unable to connect".
Another very wierd thing is that my wireless network disappears from the network list after a few minutes, I still see other secured wireless networks.
I can connect to a wireless network made by phone (wifi hotspot) with no problems.
After I installed my Belkin N150 wireless router, my desktop computer crashed. Windows 7 will not boot up.Anyone else had this problem and how did you solve it?

I have replaced my father's wired modem (he's with PostOffice.com in the UK) with a Belkin Surf+ (F7D2301uk) router running firmware version 1.00.16. When he tries to access the network from his Tosh C660 Win 7 Home Premium, 64bit laptop the network connection between the laptop & router disconnects after a minute or so. The only way to reestablish a connection is to Disconnect and Connect again in the Wireless Network section of Networking panel. But here's the weird bit. My own Mac Book keeps connected fine without any problems as does my Sony Ericsson X10 phone.

I am quite happy with it's performance so far, the main reason I bought this model was that it has a USB port so that I could use a HDD as a network.I installed the "Shareport" utility provided by D-Link and yesterday I finally got around to plug my HDD into the routeur. Things went smoothly and I was able to "connect" to the drive from my home computer.I then turn on my laptop, which is my work computer, and tried to connect to the drive. Shareport told me that it was already connected and needed to be disconnected.I mean the whole idea behind me buying a routeur with a USB port was to have a hard drive that would serve as a network backup that could be accessed by both computers at any given time.Besides, if only one computer can be connected to it at a time that's not what I call sharing, the "Shareport" utility should have a different name then.Now is that inherent to this type of setup or is it simply a show of the software limited capabilities?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Xbox360 connected to my laptop via cable, then connect to Xbox Live wireless though a Linksys router (G 2.4 ghz). Everything works fine with my +6 year old laptop running XP home, but there is a little lag with one game.
So I bought a new Asus laptop that came with Windows 7 operating system. I tried to connect to Xbox Live the same way as I did with my old laptop, but it will not connect. The lap has a good wireless connection to the internet. (same connection as the old laptop).
I have enabled sharing in the network options. Reconfigured the xbox 360s IP address manually, automatically, and restored the factory setting, Still no connection.
Manually changed addressing on the laptop. Still no connection. The Error message on the Xbox is: Can't obtain an IP address from your router or modem.
Called Xbox tech support, Spend over an hour trying to fix the problem. We did everything. Turning the system on and off, modem on and off. reconfiguring the IP addresses manually, automatically, restoring factory settings, Changing the network setting on the laptop, enabling sharing, and so on. Still unable to fix the problem. The tech support person stated, it is a Windows 7 problem and he is unable to fix it.
I reconnected the old laptop and it connects fine without any issues. The old laptop has one foot in the recycle bin, and I would like to be able to use the New Laptop to connect.
I know the either-net cable works fine. I know I have a good wireless connection to the laptop. (Comcast).
The port on the laptop works with my printer. So I'm sure that's good. I have enable network sharing in the network settings. I have tried changing the IP addresses. Any suggestions?
My sons set me up with my old pc an new pc sharing my hdtv as a monitor. Wires came loose wile I was trying to re-arrange and now only one pc is seen when I choose inputs. is there a good link that shows the wiring diagram for modem, router, pc, tv, dvr...?

I just installed windows 7 RC on my computer. Everything loaded fine, but I am having trouble getting my belkin wireless G usb working. I run the driver and it installs fine, and when it prompts me to insert the usb. When I insert the usb nothing happens. I have tried other USB ports and running in different compatability modes. It worked fine in XP. On the hardware screen I can see that it is plugged in, but it says it is an unknown wireless usb card (sor something similar to that).

Why I connected the windows 7 pc to the internet using dlink router I was able to access the internet. On the next day though, when I tried to connect again, I was not able to access the internet. Here are the tasks that I have already carried out to check the connectivity.
1. The windows 7 computer has a valid IP address, which means that ARP is working fine and my router is dispensing the addresses correctly.
2. When I try to ping the modem-router, there is no reply. So I am not able to access router using ICMP.
3. My old windows xp pc is able to connect and browse the internet. The problem is only with my new windows 7 pc.
I have a Netgear Adsl2 modem / Router with 4 ports in the rear.The two computers are going to be next to each other and I was just planning on plugging the new PC into the back of the netgear modem to have internet access on both along with the original PC for internet access. I've installed the latest drivers and when it tells me to plug in the USB adapter, I do that but then it says it can't find it but it did install the software and such so I reboot a few times to see if it starts working, but no, it just wont work, i've done the compability thing also but still doesnt want to work.
Like everyone else I've been having trouble with getting the F5D7050 to work on Windows 7 32-bit. I went through the different compatibility modes using the v4 drivers from Belkin's site. My results ranged from OS not recognizing the driver as compatible to BSOD when using the network. Finally I tried Vista SP1 mode. It works! That's the only mode that worked for me.

I try to instal on my Windows 7 x64 b.7000 drivers for belkin w g usb adapter f5d7050
I download drivers 4 belkin usb adapter f5d7050 ver.3(like I read about it) - before install i change in install file the compability for all users to windows xp , but it dont wanna install(I get a error)(the product only supports Win200/Winxp32/Vista32/Vista64) , then i switch compability for windows vista and instaler go on,
While installer is going it ask to connect adapter to usb ,what i do, but it seems dont find any anyway .
After all when instalation is finish i just get information that device dont work proply , and the light in adapter never go on
I try update drivers from menage device but still device is not working
I really dont know what else i can do
Mayby that will be some clue
i install Windows 7 on separetly partition "E" , so I have on c: vista , and on disc e:Windows 7 , but in windows 7 mode i cant see partition with Windows vista(I can see just in Disc menagment, that she still there),
. when i open windows vista i see all partitions.
did it make any sense?
anyway my main problem is to instal belkin drivers 4 adapter to WORK fine.
