I recently experienced BSOD while using NetBeans IDE to send commands to my robot(project) through serial port. I actually connected a ZigBee module to my Serial Port and sent commands to my robot using interface created in NetBeans. This occurs everytime i use NB IDE.If using emulator no problem occurs. But i need to send commands through NB IDE only as part of my project.

PCI Serial Port
PCI Simple Communication Controller
What exactly are these? I own a Lenovo X200 Tablet. Any ideas where I can find the drivers for these two things?
I'm operating on a desktop intel dq35j0 and clean installed window 7 ultimate.
in device manager two errors appeared
pci serial port driver not installed ( code28)
simple communications controller driver not installed (code 28)
checked hardware id's in device manager as follows
pcven_8086&dev_29b7&subsys_4f4a8086&rev_02 for serial port driver
and the same hardware id for the simple com controller
Ive tried to search these drivers on intel site but get lost as to wher I may find these drivers.
the same issue is a problem on two other pc's after cleaninstall of win 7
1.) is an hp dx2000 nt
here the network controller driver has not installed
the hardware id is
pciven_0675&dev_1702&subsys_6692&rev_00
2.) is a hp pavillion dv6 (1125ei) notebook
here an "unknown device" driver not loaded
the hardware id is
acpihpq004 (double zero fout and not thriple zero four).
how can i make a connection with serial port in windows 7 like as i did in windows XP?

I have an old HP 5P laserjet that has an lpt1 parallel printer cable securely attached to it. i tried to connect a couple of adapters to the cable and plug it into the com port. View 1 Replies View RelatedI am getting a lot of BSOD when my laptop is connected to an external monitor using a display-port cable.The system is fine when I don't use a external monitor and use just laptop screen. External monitor is a Dell 30inch. I have tried different display-port cables, different monitors, tried connecting via vga...still get BSOD, so I am thinking the problem is more on the windows 7/software side rather than hardware.
1. Uninstall AVG free edition 2011
2. Upgraded network-gigabit driver directly from intel instead of Lenovo
3a. Upgraded Nvidia drivers directly from nvidia for Quadro 1000m (ver 8.17.12.7533 - 5/20/2011) - got BSOD within 30min
3b. Downgraded Nvidia drivers to version from Lenovo (ver 8.17.12.6696 - 2/2/2011) - still get BSOD but there is more time between BSODs.
I am using a lenovo w520 laptop, win 7 SP1, x64. 8gb memory, intel 510 solid-state drive, Nvidia Quadro 1000 and Intel HD Graphics 3000, No-Anti-Virus and running zone-alarm firewall.
I recently installed new software that requires port 8080 to function. When I try to run the software I get an error that port 8080 is being used.How do I check to see what process is using port 8080 so that I can open up the port to run the software? MACHINE: Windows 7x64

I have downloaded all the drivers from my laptop manufacturers website (Samsung).
I am running Windows 7 32bit.
Is there some way to configure Windows 7 to execute commands (such as resolution changing, killing/starting processes and services, etc.) whenever the laptop switches from AC to DC and back? I have been using batterysaver from codeplex.com but it is still in beta and hasn't seen any updates for around 6 months. It is somewhat unreliable and I can't get it to trigger nircmd.exe to lower my resolution when I switch to battery or to raise it when I switch back.I think my best bet would be Task Scheduler, but I don't know how to make a power event a trigger.
