I shut down and today when I try to start it up I get a BSOD and the computer reboots. I can start it in safe mode and I get this message:[CODE]I tried both cards by themselves, one of them works fine but the other one gets these errors. I don't know what to do. They were both absolutely fine yesterday, no artifacts show up on screen for the card that isnt working, just when I install Nvidia drivers it all goes to hell.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWe recently upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium after having issues w/a yearly upgraded antiviral software that suddenly wouldn't work w/Vista. No problems, then one evening while in an open live video chat forum it crashed, never had a problem with this before. Have gotten the BSOD since then. Currently only works in safe mode. Ran repair, ran restore previous, nothing works. When he loaded Windows 7, he got updates but I don't think he checked for updates with the drivers. Also, he was in the slow process of pulling off alot of family pics as they are taking up too much space.

And atm I'm running 106 processes (screenshots below) and I'm unsure which ones I can kill. I only know about Nettalk, Firefox, Thunderbird, Dropbox, sparta.exe and screen.exe.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy issue is that my fan runs very loudly and does not turn off during idle/slow periods. I downloaded the speedfan program and this is how it looks currently. [URL]I don't think the difference between idle and running Chrome + Steam in the background would be enough to matter, so i'm not in a completely idle mode now. This is essentially my constant setup.I'm rather inept when it comes to these things so i'm really not sure if this is even a problem or not. I know that cpu fans are always running, but i can't imagine 2800-2900 rpm being an idle speed. My temperatures are stable(as far as i know) and they only get to about 45% during heavier cpu usage. I cleaned out the dust in the system, but i think i may have missed the heatsink or whatever itself.I have also heard that doing a disk cleanup and defragmentation can solve the issue of a fan running constantly, however, doing that did not seem to help.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy PC since a week has started freezing randomly one or twice a day. All the windows stay open, the mouse does not move,. Even Ctrl+Alt+Delete does not work; CAPS Lock light does not get toggled. Sometimes it happens after just 10 mins of startup, sometimes after a few hours. It has always happened under normal usage, ie. no games/Photoshop/3ds Max running. Just Firefox running or sometimes even while no app running. Once it happened while I was scanning a picture, and the scanning head (the light-tube) of the scanner also froze midway.

I ran memtest86 for 3 passes (1 hour +) and it showed 0 errors. My installation is 1 year old. I've ran disk cleanup to clear temp files and stuff, and I've got 20 out of 90 GB free in my C: Drive (Win 7 partition) and 200 out of ~850GB on my secondary partition. The last program I had installed is LogMeIn Hamachi which I have uninstalled, but the PC froze once again after the uninstallation! I also got my PC case internals and especially the CPU heatsink fan (without detaching the fan/heatsink) cleaned.. but I'm not getting any CPU overtemp error anyways.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI had this machine built just over a year ago, and only had occasional crashes (no particular activities seemed to generate the issue). About 2 months ago the crashes became more persistent, and upon restarting the machine would have trouble loading normal mode. At the screen that reads "welcome" the spinning wheel would simply freeze, and the computer would lock up. As this problem persisted the computer would either automatically reboot itself each time, or crash into a BSOD and run a dump. I can, however, start it in Safe Mode without issue. It had been running the same install of windows 7 ultimate x64 until a couple of weeks ago when I attempted to reinstall. This solved nothing, so I reinstalled again, this time deleting the partitions and formatting the drive. Again, the problems persist. I'm inclined to think they're hardware related at this point, but I'm in no way an expert.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've experienced 2 BSOD's today, both within 30 minutes of turning on the computer. I was doing nothing extraordinary either time, just browsing the web (in fact, the second time I was getting ready to post this). The blue screen flashed too quickly but I think it was stop error 116 and the file was ati something .sys. I suspect gfx card because of this. I've attached all the dump information.
OS is OEM, reinstalled 1 year ago. Mobo, CPU, RAM, secondary HDD are 2.5 years old. SSD (boot drive) is 1 year old. Gfx card, PSU are 6 months old. Other maybe useful info about the gfx card is that it has been behaving strangely before. Last week and other times, Windows Aero would suddenly turn off, and the gfx temperature would rise ~5-10C and fan would go crazy. Rebooting fixed this, at least temporarily.
As of yesterday morning this computer I am typing from has started crashing to BSOD at (what seems to be) random at intervals from 2 minutes to 2 hours.

I am doing this from another computer because i cant get that one to boot from anything disk or drive. View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I just got back from a 3 day vacation, and when I came back I rebooted my computer only to come back to the "Start Windows Normally/ launch startup repair" naturally I chose startup repair, it froze. Tried starting normally, took me back to the same page. So I tried booting in safe mode, took me to the BSOD that read Bad_pool_header. So then I tried to putting in my windows 7 installation disc to see if I could do a system recover from there, but as soon as I try boot up with the disc it takes me back to the same BSOD. I feel completely stuck as I've tried everything I can think of.

I've been getting a BUGCODE_NDIS_DRIVER BSOD almost every-time i use my machine for over 20 mins. My machine was working fine , until i bought an external monitor and started using that over HDMI. Now even though the other monitor is plugged out , BSOD still happens regularly.

I've been having some BSOD issues, mostly 0x0000124.I tried updating my BIOS but the problem persists.Ran memtest for 1 hour with no apparent error.Got a BSOD when running prime95 (it was not 0x0000124 but I think it was hardware related)Always get BSOD when doing some intensive encoding in Sony Vegas (and it's my default way to test for BSOD)Note that I was using just 1 DIMM of RAM when making the report .zip
My 2 year old HP DV3610ae Laptop keeps giving me a BSOD. It's a Core2Duo T6400 2.0 Ghz with 4Gb DDR2 Ram. Usually its a IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, but I have seen other errors and some times it just restarts without BSOD and no memorydump is then generated. It is usually just after login, but lately the BSOD is coming within the first half hour. I have done a clean install with Windows 7 Enterprise and the problem is still there.
I have done memtest and prime95 for several hours with no problem in fail safe mode. Also no problem with chkdsk. Fail safe mode never crashes, only normal login. Have removed DVD drive. Still BSOD. There is no new hardware installed. Have had "gcswf32.dll stopped working" fault in safemode and normal mode when running chrome browser. Only windows defender and firewall is installed.
One of my computers keeps crashing while doing tasks like browsing files on the HDD or surfing the web. I'm attaching a copy of the minidump file. I've looked at the result from the Windows Debugging Tool, but I'm not sure how to read it as it's my first time. I did note the names "fltmgr.sys" and "SearchIndexer" stand out.I'd like to point out that no new programs were installed prior to the BSOD's and that I've updated all of the drivers that I could find for the motherboard since the BSOD's. I could not get the BIOS to be updated because Gigabyte doesn't seem to have a 64-bit version available. I'm currently running a thorough disk check on the HDD.

View 8 Replies View RelatedFor the last few weeks I have been getting BSOD: IRQL not less or equal, and system service exception. I first updated all drivers/windows ect, and ran recommended repair utilities. After this had no effect, I had been directed by another source to test the RAM, and so ran memtest, finding no errors. I have also swapped out different combinations of my 4 Dimms of RAM to try and isolate the problem. While I have been swapping out my RAM sticks, I happened to notice that my physical memory usage would slowly and steadily rise until ~ 95-99% at which point the BSOD would occur. Since noticing the RAM usage continually rising seemed to cause the crash, I have found that rebooting when the memory usage gets too high will baseline the RAM usage and can prevent the BSOD. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? The only programs I'm using are world of warcraft, chrome, and occasionally skype or MS office. BSOD have occured with some or even none of these applications open(But always with memory usage @ ~ 90% or higher). Closing every program when the memory gets high doesn't cause the memory usage to ever stop rising(though it will temporarily drop the usage). So in a nutshell:My memory usage goes from ~20% on fresh boot, gradually increasing until ~95-98% and I Crash. I've scanned the processes>show processes from all users and nothing stands out that seems to be using too much memory.

I backed everything up and restored my pc to shipping options. After this restore I get a lot of problems with my RAM usage (my pc has 3gb ram). When I work with normal things on the computer it mostly lasts for like 1 or max. 2 hrs before it freezes and i have to reboot. When i play a game like League of Legends, it mostly lasts for like 20 minutes and 50 minutes with game booster on. The point is, before my crash , my pc didn't have these RAM problems... I played LOL as much as i wanted to but now i can't play at all.

I changed all of my accessible drivers, and it continued to happen, so i moved all of my personal files onto my external HDD. I re installed windows on my SSD (did not reformat) and reformatted my HDD. I re installed my drivers, re-enabled SLI and it ran fine for about an hour, just downloading WoW, and then happened again twice.
