I have installed Vista x32 with SP2 Ultimate. When I installed anti-virus, BSOD came. Same AV version haven't problem with Vista SP1, what is updated to SP2. Then I try to install Vista with SP2 to hyper-v server, but installation stops immediately error screen (STOP: 0x0..8E). Is n_windows_vista_ultimate_sp2_checked_build_x86_dvd_342432.iso packet ok ?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI was just wondering if anyone else had experienced these annoying freezes that occur randomly in Vista 64. It can happen while I'm playing a game, it can happen while I'm browsing firefox etc. I freeze up about 4 times a day and the only solution is a hard restart.
It is beyond me, I have the video card drivers up to snuff, all updates are installed, virus scanners/spyware scanners, video card isn't overheating, CPU idles at 33 loads at 42. I'll describe the problem a little better other than to just say it's freezing. When the freeze occurs, the entire screen stops moving, I cannot move my mouse, all sound stops working, and if there was a sound playing, it will get mutilated into a nasty buzz.
I can't seem to be able to installer the Hyper-V Manager on my Windows Vista Business x64 with SP2. I have enabled the RSATs and it is not one of the options. so i have downloaded the patches from KBs 970203, 941314, 952627. I always get this error: The update does not apply to your system where can i get the Hyper-V manager?

following error message :

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your
computer. If the screen appears again, follow these steps :
Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driveris identified in

Same thing with Windows 7. But, with Vista 32 bits DVD, no problem. I
suspect my DVD burner to be the problem, since it make the hell of a noise
at the startup with Vista 64 an Windows 7 DVD's.

My computer just died, with a complex Vista installation on a 250 GB drive. I have a replacement unit on its way, but is there any way to transfer the drive with the Vista install to the new computer and get a working system? My Vista is a full retail copy. I'm now working on XP from my backup machine, an old Dell Optiplex GX200, with a 733 MHZ P3 that's not capable of running Vista. I could reinstall Vista, but would lose an awful lot of data and installed programs.

Each time about halfway through the download I get the message "Internet Explorer cannot download Smart_Web_Printing4.0exe from ftp.hp.com. The connection with the server was reset". When trying to launch the game i get this error message: This application has failed to start because D3DX9_32.DLL was not found. Re-installing the applicatio n may fix the problem. Microsoft then tells me that the problem is with directx 9 and gives me a link to update the end user run-time installer. Which sounds like a perfect and easy fix.Turns out that no matter what version or update i try to install I am screwed. As i said it does not matter what version of directx i try to update i get the same message. Can I not play Civ 4 on vista? I have heard maybe the compatibility mode might fix but I am unsure how exactly to do that right. I have tried a few times...Also spent hours on the phone with game support
My operating system is Windows Vista Home Premium 64 Bit with SP1. The computer downloads the majority of BF2 until the end of the 3rd cd then stops and doesn't say error or anything. It won't allow me to download a patch for BF2 either because it can't specify the file BF2 is in. When I start BF2 it says it can't start up because some file wasn't found and I have to reinstall the application. Which I have tried mucho but won't download the whole shin dig. In the quick info of BF2 where it has the minimum system requirements it doesn't recognize the OS and says that requirement failed but everything else is just peachy.

After apparently downloading and beginning the upgrade, it just stops, with a message sort of like: !!0xc09000 HelpPane.exe !! on the screen. I am actually not sure of the numbers; only the HelpPane.exe part and the double exlaimation points. I can't believe MS managed to completely blow this AGAIN after all the problems with Vista initially. My 1 year old computer is a worthless brick right now. I can't be the only one with this problem. I am fuming right now. How can MS fix this ?!?!
