View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I create an email and press send, instead of going out it goes straight to my outbox. I can then not send the message from my outbox, I have checked the account info and the server details look correct. This has just happened recently, the email account has been working fine previously so not sure what has happened.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been looking through all the similar posts and have tried varying different suggestions from people but still my message is stuck in the outbox and I'm unable to Send emails.
I've tried the whole antivirus thing and changing the port number, together with going into my Drive and deleting things from there but still the pesky thing is sitting there taunting me.
I find that when I have a message in the outbox and the message is no longer "unread," it disappears regardless of whether it was sent! I believe this is the cause for two current problems:
1. everytime I close Windows Mail, I receive the message "You have unsent messages in your Outbox. Do you want to send them now?" Of course I always click "yes," but the truth is there are no messages in my outbox, and even if I click yes, I will be given the same message if I open and close Windows Mail again. It is chronic!
2. I cannot be sure if a message was actually sent after it's been read and disappears from my outbox. Just this morning, I read a message in my outbox. It became "read," then it disappeared. When I hit send/receive, it successfully "sent" the message according to the action item, but then it failed to move the message from my outbox to the sent folder. So now the mail has disappeared and I have no record of it ever being in existence.
All of my email is going to the outbox and won;t send. I am receiving incoming mail. Receiving this error message: An unknown error has occurred. Protocol: SMTP, Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800C013E

I guess I kind of receive email - about every two days or so. It went from a quick easy operation to agonizingly slow...I can only receive email occasionally and it waits in the outbox for hours. I uninstalled McAfee, checked the servers (working fine for everyone but Vista me) checked the ports (correct). What's next? By the way this started suddenly. It worked perfect one day - not at all the next. Was there an update that caused this? Here's the message I get after one hour of trying to use email: Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E zimmer.csufresno.edu

View 5 Replies View RelatedSetting up a new laptop and have never used Windows Mail before. I've set up my e-mail accounts using the correct settings for incoming and outgoing mail (pop.myisp.net and smtp.myisp.net). I can receive mail now, but my composed messages are just sitting in the Outbox and not sending. I'm not getting an error message so I'm assumig that the outgoing mail server is connecting.
I've checked everywhere I could think of in the account settings and can't find anything which would cause my mail to not be sent. I've checked my "Sent" message folder and, of course it's empty, so it's not that they're sent and residing in two folders.
