Ive read many discussion on this...and found out about the download which I did and it says "Update does not apply to your system" Someone else had this same exact problem named Marie...But, I couldnt find where it said how to fix the problem...I use the 32 download, can I try the other one ? My computer is 32 byts I found that on the computer..Then also tried to change that 25 to the 587 ( as I read of here also ) and now the message says " one or more messages in your outbox do not have a valid acct.specified would you like to use your default acct to send messages...I have deleted this acct. and started over many times and still end up with the same results..

Thought it was all fixed. Changed to CA antivirus. I'm now able to create and send messages, but can't reply or forward or send attachment. Do I need to download the file that fixes messages stuck in the outbox? Email messages have been stuck in my Outbox since Thursday morning. When I try to send/receive messages, new emails come to my inbox but no messages ever get sent. I've tried moving them to drafts, then reopening them and sending, but nothing has been successful.

I've tried the whole antivirus thing and changing the port number, together with going into my Drive and deleting things from there but still the pesky thing is sitting there taunting me.

When sending a message in Outlook Express 6.0 in Windows XP, the message will say there were errors but in the details section it is blank. There will also be a copy of the message that stays in the outbox BUT the message is being received by the recipient. View 5 Replies View Relatedone time I accidently deleted some family photos from my computer and before I realized I had deleted them I had emptied my desktop recycle bin. I looked arond online and found a way to navigate DOSs' "secret" RECYCLER directory and had to manually fish out my files. Apperantly windows keeps a copy of EVERYTHING I have EVER deleted....Shouldn't this not happen?!?
Furthermore I dont know how to delete them from this "ghost" directory. What if I want to sell my computer or it gets stolen; I dont want some punk kid to jack all the files I thought I deleted! This scenario occured on a Dell running WinXP, this directory also shows up on my Dell XPS running WinVISTA

I just did a custom install of windows Vista and need to get rid of the windows.old file. I have an external hard drive and would like to move it there and not delete it just in case I have forgotten any files that are not immediately apparent. Can I just cut and paste it? View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I attempt to copy/cut and paste (or even DELETE from desktop or wherever) (CTRL X, CTRL C, then CTRL V) or, even by right-clicking methods, I get the typical dialogue box: "Moving items...," "Deleting items...," etc.
The problem is that sometimes, only sometimes the documents move or are copied. Sometimes, (usually about 80% of the time) they do NOT. The dialogue box that states what's going on just freezes & hangs forever..............
I have two files (exe, probably installed from the internet) which windows Vista will not allow me to delete despite having an administrator's account. I can rename or move them but can't delete them. Also, and possibly related, my bin doesn't seem to be working correctly when I empty it it doesn't make that satisfying sound anymore and the icon still shows it as full?
