My OS is Windows Vista and for 2 months now, I have been accessing my yahoo mail via Windows Mail. For 1.5weeks now, I cant send out mail it defaults to my 'Outbox' and generate the following message:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Subject 'Forests of Africa. Ill try this again. I cant send email I keep getting this message. Ive disabled my AVG email scanner, reset my account numerous times, still no luck. I dont have any problem deleting the message from the outbox.

When I look for mail, and I get the message and the beep "2 messages" they're not always there! I'm really loosing email! I'm using this program for months now, no problem, but since about a week it's a nightmare. So unreliable! My send-messages don't always appear in the outbox.
When I create an email and press send, instead of going out it goes straight to my outbox. I can then not send the message from my outbox, I have checked the account info and the server details look correct. This has just happened recently, the email account has been working fine previously so not sure what has happened.
Windows mail has been working fine, but I can't send emails. I am getting the following error message: An unknown error has occurred. Subject 'Re: WELCOME BACK FROM YOUR CRUISE', Account: 'Embarq Mail', Server: 'smtp.embarqmail.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 SBL-XBL restriction:
I've been looking through all the similar posts and have tried varying different suggestions from people but still my message is stuck in the outbox and I'm unable to Send emails.
I've tried the whole antivirus thing and changing the port number, together with going into my Drive and deleting things from there but still the pesky thing is sitting there taunting me.
I find that when I have a message in the outbox and the message is no longer "unread," it disappears regardless of whether it was sent! I believe this is the cause for two current problems:
1. everytime I close Windows Mail, I receive the message "You have unsent messages in your Outbox. Do you want to send them now?" Of course I always click "yes," but the truth is there are no messages in my outbox, and even if I click yes, I will be given the same message if I open and close Windows Mail again. It is chronic!
2. I cannot be sure if a message was actually sent after it's been read and disappears from my outbox. Just this morning, I read a message in my outbox. It became "read," then it disappeared. When I hit send/receive, it successfully "sent" the message according to the action item, but then it failed to move the message from my outbox to the sent folder. So now the mail has disappeared and I have no record of it ever being in existence.
I have an email stuck in my outbox and can't delete. It's preventing me from sending any emails. I tried the using the update mentioned, but it won't work, brings up an error box
Last night I started having problems sending email. All seeting the same, shut down restart spoke with at@t. Getting message You have unsent message in your outbox Do you want to send them now? I click yes but keeps trying to send goes no where.

It is also keeping other messages from being sent. message I get is: Message could not be displayed Windows Mail encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this message. I guess I kind of receive email - about every two days or so. It went from a quick easy operation to agonizingly slow...I can only receive email occasionally and it waits in the outbox for hours. I uninstalled McAfee, checked the servers (working fine for everyone but Vista me) checked the ports (correct). What's next? By the way this started suddenly. It worked perfect one day - not at all the next. Was there an update that caused this? Here's the message I get after one hour of trying to use email: Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E zimmer.csufresno.edu
When I am away from my cable provider's broadband, I cannot send email from windows mail in vista. It remains unsent in the outbox. But I can receive mail in the inbox. Below is the error when I click on the send all button: The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Re: Tonights Game VS Cheshire CANCELLED-Please Respond', Account: 'cbutwill', Server: 'mail.optonline.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
When using Windows Mail, after I try to send an email, it remains in my outbox until I close down the Windows Mail. When I reopen Windows Mail, the message has moved to the sent folder, but is there a way I can send a mail without having to shut-down the program everytime? My status is showing as 'Working Online' and I have tried clicking the 'Send and Receive' but this doesnt resolve the problem.
Email messages have been stuck in my Outbox since Thursday morning. When I try to send/receive messages, new emails come to my inbox but no messages ever get sent. I've tried moving them to drafts, then reopening them and sending, but nothing has been successful.

Say I have 10 individual Email recipients that I often send the same Email to. I want to be able to bring all the addresses together into one Group, and send the Email addressed to say "Family" or "Social Team" etc. Is there a way that I can lump all the common recipients together under one title?
