Email messages have been stuck in my Outbox since Thursday morning. When I try to send/receive messages, new emails come to my inbox but no messages ever get sent. I've tried moving them to drafts, then reopening them and sending, but nothing has been successful.

I have just starting having problems sending emails from Windows mail. Each time I send the email gets stuck in the outbox and does not move. I click on the send/receive tab and the following message comes up.Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Subject '', Account: 'pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk',Server: 'smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F.If I keep hitting the send/recieve tab it eventually goes but problem seems to be getting worse. I have Norton scanning my emails, should this be disabled? If so how do I do this and what potential problems could this cause? I am pretty sure the POP details are correct as I have been using this email with no problems for the past year.

Thought it was all fixed. Changed to CA antivirus. I'm now able to create and send messages, but can't reply or forward or send attachment. Do I need to download the file that fixes messages stuck in the outbox? The symptoms described on the support page are accurate, except I am able to move messages from my outbox to drafts folder and I can delete messages from my outbox. Error message:

When using Windows Mail, after I try to send an email, it remains in my outbox until I close down the Windows Mail. When I reopen Windows Mail, the message has moved to the sent folder, but is there a way I can send a mail without having to shut-down the program everytime? My status is showing as 'Working Online' and I have tried clicking the 'Send and Receive' but this doesnt resolve the problem.

When I try to delete the mail it will not delete, when I try to move the mail to the junk mailbox it cannot be moved, when I try to send the mail it cannot send. I've tried shutting down Windows mail and restarting, I tried shutting down the computer, I've tried changing the "sender" e-mail addy, tried changing the "to" e-mail addy. Setting up a new laptop and have never used Windows Mail before. I've set up my e-mail accounts using the correct settings for incoming and outgoing mail (pop.myisp.net and smtp.myisp.net). I can receive mail now, but my composed messages are just sitting in the Outbox and not sending. I'm not getting an error message so I'm assumig that the outgoing mail server is connecting.
I've checked everywhere I could think of in the account settings and can't find anything which would cause my mail to not be sent. I've checked my "Sent" message folder and, of course it's empty, so it's not that they're sent and residing in two folders.

Windows Mail has worked fine since purchased computer in February 2008. Today, 5/20/08 one incoming message stuck in "receiving". No error message. If I try to shut down the computer, it tells me that a program is still running and I must "abort" the download to shut down the computer. Outgoing mail will not send unless I shut down and restart the computer. I'm basically computer illiterate.

I just bought a desktop computer. Per usual, as soon as I booted it up, Windows began downloading and installing about 30-some windows updates. When installing, it got to 13 of 30 (.NET update of some kind) and stopped. Over an hour goes by and no progress. I finally tried to "Stop Installation" - thinking that I could reboot and continue installation...but now it just says "Please do not power off or unplug your machine. Installing update 13 of 30." And, as before, nothing appears to be happening.
Advice? Turn off computer and reboot anyway? Wait another few hours? Being as this is literally the result of the first time I turned the computer on, I'm seriously considering retuning it...but that's probably just my current extreme frustration talking. Obviously, when you pay a lot for something you would expect that it wouldn't fizzle out on the very first use.

I believe I have a (Vista Ultimate x64 RC-1? Already has SP1) cd. I can install it fine. I can then install the correct drivers for my hardware. And all works well, until... I use windows updates and select the 'important' only updates. After that, I'm stuck in a boot-loop. And by boot-loop, I mean I can't get into windows OR safe-mode. I have done this 2 times so far. It definitely only happens when I run the updates (can work perfectly fine for days w/o the updates). It's like I'm just now allowed to have an updated version of Vista. I made a restore point prior to the updates, so I can get back to where I was, but I obviously can't run an outdated OS all the time.

I have used programs from MSDOS to Vista and by far Vista is the worst program of the lot. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Without exception, everytime I attempt to open a window, it takes for ever for the progress bar at the bottom to fillup and more often than not, I have to give up and start over. It is like it is stuck in a perpetual loop and just can't finish the requested task. I am paying for a cable modem and getting dial up results with Vista. This is fleecing of America. I recently had to purchase a new laptop and of course it had Vista. If the service pack does ever come and does not fix the issues with this crappy program, I would be in favor of filing a class action suit for Microsoft to either fix the issues or replace the program with XP which was great.
