Mail Outbox That Will Not Go Out
Mar 23, 2008I have a message in my outbox that I created ,and now the body of the mail shows as: Message could not be displayed Windows Mail encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this message. Check your computer for low memory or low disk space and try again. Windows Mail
When I try to delete the mail it will not delete, when I try to move the mail to the junk mailbox it cannot be moved, when I try to send the mail it cannot send. I've tried shutting down Windows mail and restarting, I tried shutting down the computer, I've tried changing the "sender" e-mail addy, tried changing the "to" e-mail addy. This mail is now blocking other mails I am trying to send.

May 23, 2008I have a msg stuck in my outbox, it never sent for some reason and i cant delete, move or do anything with it. i have recently changed service providers. so evertime i now go into windows mail it comes up saying... one or more messages in your Outbox does not have a valid account specified. Would you like to use your defult account to send this message? even if i hit yes..or even no..it does nothing ad keeps poping up with that when i get into windows mail or try to send a message.

May 31, 2009Setting up a new laptop and have never used Windows Mail before. I've set up my e-mail accounts using the correct settings for incoming and outgoing mail (pop.myisp.net and smtp.myisp.net). I can receive mail now, but my composed messages are just sitting in the Outbox and not sending. I'm not getting an error message so I'm assumig that the outgoing mail server is connecting.
I've checked everywhere I could think of in the account settings and can't find anything which would cause my mail to not be sent. I've checked my "Sent" message folder and, of course it's empty, so it's not that they're sent and residing in two folders.
Erasing E-mail Blocked On Exit Box?
Apr 16, 2008I didn't find any mean for erasing an e-mail blocked on the exit box. This results on total blocked exit-deliveries for any other e-mail.

Email Stays In Outbox Until I Close Windows Mail
May 26, 2008When using Windows Mail, after I try to send an email, it remains in my outbox until I close down the Windows Mail. When I reopen Windows Mail, the message has moved to the sent folder, but is there a way I can send a mail without having to shut-down the program everytime? My status is showing as 'Working Online' and I have tried clicking the 'Send and Receive' but this doesnt resolve the problem.

Mar 23, 2008I purchased a new Acer computer in January 2008 which had Vista Premium pre-installed; i activated the free 90-day trial from Norton. The Mail program worked fine until about one week ago when my outbox stopped working:
1) when i press ??Send/Reveive?? nothing happens, and even the graphics for that button do not seem to work (i.e. the button does not appear to indent). In order for me to be able to send email, I have to close the Mail program, at which point I get a message box asking if i want to send the unsent message(s), which it does when I click on OK.
2) I've also noticed that the bold characters (that normally indicate if there are unread messages in the Inbox, or unsent messages in the OUTbox) do not work anymore, i.e. they stay bold eventhough there are no new messages in the Inbox, or are not in bold when there are unsent messages in the OUTbox..............
Port 80 Is Blocked
Apr 10, 2009My Son's computer was working yesterday and this morning he can't surf using IE 8 or Firefox. It appears Port 80 is being blocked. I have disabled the firewall temporarily and this did not resolve the issue. I did the "netsh winsock reset" and this did not fix the problem. I have reset my router with no change. I am able to ping the DNS, the Default router and his IP address within the command window. I can also ping yahoo.com, google.com within the command window, but can't reach them with either browser. He did not have System Restore enabled, so I can't use that as a solution. Can the group recommend some options for me to try? He is using Vista Home Premium, and a wireless card. I can also see ALL GREEN when I open up the Network Sharing tool. There is a green line between his IP and the Wireless Card and green line between the Wireless Card and the Internet.

The computer is only meant to play music when we have parties and such, so I have made a normal account, besides the administrator account, that people can use. I have blocked all programs except the music program. Nov 5, 2009I am trying to run a program at startup that is continually being blocked at startup by the UAC and thus defeats the purpose of doing so. I think I need to change the permissions of the program in order to get this to work, but am not sure of what the correct approach is to doing this. What setting do I need to change and how do I get them to lock in. I am also running this program in XP compatibility mode if that makes a difference. I am the sole user/administrator of this PC.

Jun 17, 2008I'm new to Vista but am having problems with Windows Mail. Just realised that I can't receive attachments. I'm forwarding some mail from my desktop using Outlook in XP to my laptop using Vista and 9 times out of 10 attachments aren't being received. They don't show as blocked or anything they're just not there. They are in the sent items on my desktop. I've turned off email scanning in Norton and changed the settings re reading, etc, in windows mail with absolutely no change.
