I can sent emails to my sister in St. Paul, MN to her business address, but when she tries to reply to my messages she is blocked from sending them to me. I live in Tulsa, OK and this problem does NOT happen when we communicate between her home email address and mine.

Before I upgraded the desktop to Vista, I copy the Outlook.pst back and forth the two machines to synchronize my e-mail. Now that the desktop is running on Vista and the laptop still running XP Pro, can I do the same thing to synchronize my e-mail or is there a better solution in synchronizing the pst files.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I boot up in the morning, I have to wait 20 to 30 mins before Outlook 07 will connect to my Exchange 2003 server. Until then, when I try to open Outlook it says, cannot open the default e-mail folders. And it suggests there is a network issue or that the Exchange server is down. These are not the case. The Exchange server is up and there are no network issues. I have many other computers attached to the network and none of them have this issue. Some our XP Pro/Office 07, some are XP Pro/Office 2003. The big difference with my machine is that it is Vista.
After about 20 to 30 minutes, wow! it connects! And then it's good for the rest of the day. I usually only minimize Outlook after I actually get it open so the connection is maintained throughout the day. I'm not sure what would happen if I closed it completely. But one thing is for sure, every morning, it takes 20 to 30 minutes before it will connect. Eventually, it always connects.

I am trying to set up my Windows Mail (I think this is basically outlook???) I typed in my pop3/smtp and so on. It then prompted me to log in so windows could verify and proceed on. When I create email using Send To and start typing in the TO block, it will recognize two or three of the addresses in my address book but not the whole list of A's, B's, or whatever. Outlook is NOT listed in the default programs section of the Vista control panel, nor is it listed as a program in "Program and Features." I have set my POP and SMTP servers to the port numbers and secure connection settings in Outlook as instructed by AT&T Yahoo. However, I cannot get my e-mail to send or receive in Outlook. A tech told me to set up the Windows Mail to correct the problem but that just caused more problems because now my e-mail downloads from the server to Windows mail.
