When I try to delete the mail it will not delete, when I try to move the mail to the junk mailbox it cannot be moved, when I try to send the mail it cannot send. I've tried shutting down Windows mail and restarting, I tried shutting down the computer, I've tried changing the "sender" e-mail addy, tried changing the "to" e-mail addy. This mail is now blocking other mails I am trying to send.
It is showing as sent and is preventing me from sending any emails out

View 9 Replies View RelatedSetting up a new laptop and have never used Windows Mail before. I've set up my e-mail accounts using the correct settings for incoming and outgoing mail (pop.myisp.net and smtp.myisp.net). I can receive mail now, but my composed messages are just sitting in the Outbox and not sending. I'm not getting an error message so I'm assumig that the outgoing mail server is connecting.
I've checked everywhere I could think of in the account settings and can't find anything which would cause my mail to not be sent. I've checked my "Sent" message folder and, of course it's empty, so it's not that they're sent and residing in two folders.

When using Windows Mail, after I try to send an email, it remains in my outbox until I close down the Windows Mail. When I reopen Windows Mail, the message has moved to the sent folder, but is there a way I can send a mail without having to shut-down the program everytime? My status is showing as 'Working Online' and I have tried clicking the 'Send and Receive' but this doesnt resolve the problem.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm in the habit of deleting everything that goes into my downloads folder within my user folder because having a bunch of installers sitting there is pointless. Recently, however, whenever I attempt to delete any of these installers within my downloads folder,it tells me that "I need to permission to perform this action." These files can't be in use by anything and as administrator I don't see why it suddenly will not allow me to delete this things after I've been doing it for months. If I restart the computer,it WILL let me delete these things. But never before that.

She didnt do it, as she uses one of them extensively, Adobe CS3. So, how do I prevent someone from deleting files. Can I take ownership of the entire programs files, with a password? And along with that, how do I keep programs from being installed without her permission? She is an admin user by default, but can you password UAC?

I can then not send the message from my outbox, I have checked the account info and the server details look correct. This has just happened recently, the email account has been working fine previously so not sure what has happened.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI purchased a new Acer computer in January 2008 which had Vista Premium pre-installed; i activated the free 90-day trial from Norton. The Mail program worked fine until about one week ago when my outbox stopped working:
1) when i press ??Send/Reveive?? nothing happens, and even the graphics for that button do not seem to work (i.e. the button does not appear to indent). In order for me to be able to send email, I have to close the Mail program, at which point I get a message box asking if i want to send the unsent message(s), which it does when I click on OK.
2) I've also noticed that the bold characters (that normally indicate if there are unread messages in the Inbox, or unsent messages in the OUTbox) do not work anymore, i.e. they stay bold eventhough there are no new messages in the Inbox, or are not in bold when there are unsent messages in the OUTbox..............
When replying/composing a email I attempt to send and the email is moved to the outbox and does not get sent. I have had the program working previously but has just now started having these problems. I can receive emails just wont allow me to send.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have just starting having problems sending emails from Windows mail. Each time I send the email gets stuck in the outbox and does not move. I click on the send/receive tab and the following message comes up.Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Subject '', Account: 'pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk',Server: 'smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F.If I keep hitting the send/recieve tab it eventually goes but problem seems to be getting worse. I have Norton scanning my emails, should this be disabled? If so how do I do this and what potential problems could this cause? I am pretty sure the POP details are correct as I have been using this email with no problems for the past year.
