Cant Click Email Links .windows Mail
Mar 23, 2008when i try to click an email link a lil box opens up that says could not
perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly
installed.

Installed Few MS Updates:does Not Let Click On Any Links
Feb 9, 2009I installed a few MS updates on my laptop running Vista Home and now when I go to a web site I can move the curser around but it does not let me click on any links. Can't even click on the X in the top right of the screen to get out of IE. I must Ctrl, Alt, Del, to get out of it. Was told to reinstall IE but how is that done?

Mar 25, 20091- I put my charter.net email into Vista mail works great but now I can only get my email by going through vista mail. If I go to charter.net It says NO MESSAGES, but there are because I can get them when I go into vista mail.
Also I got an email from a trusted sender and Vista mail pt it throug to spam and said it could have been phishing, I am 100% it was not. I right clicked on the email and put it in trusted sender. Why didVista mail do that Finally I hate how when I go into vista ,mail even if I right click on an email It will open it (so say I right click on a spam email to delete it, vista mail will open it?

Feb 17, 2009cannot get links to open in windows mail. some are public mail such as nascar, and, some are orivate emails from friends, when i defaults, it says 2 out of 3 are working. i have to keep resetting default.

Mar 26, 2008I'm having an odd problem when I try to open some links sent in emails. I'm a member of a messageboard and, as such, I receive emails detailing when a reply has been posted. which directs the browser to open the page at the specific post. However, when the link arrives at the browser (I've tried this in both IE7 and firefox with the same result), which just dumps me at the top of a (sometimes very long) page. It happens with any link containing the hash symbol. Moving the hash around in the address results in the link being truncated at the point where the hash is.

This used to be a good way of opening a webpage in a specific IE window instead of clicking the link which would open in whichever window it felt like - which might be over the top of a web page you want to keep open. Such as we can do on forums, etc. I am using Windows Mail with Windows Vista Home Premium 64, soon to upgrade to Windows 7. Example—if I wanted to send a link to aol ionstead of having to list it this way, I should be able to list it as just aol and clicking on the link will go right there. I get emails like that all the time but can't figure out how to send one.....

Feb 14, 2007Windows Vista includes a great little utility that allows users to finally make soft and hard file system links in the file system. This can be very useful from a software compatibility standpoint as well as a great way to organize your computer. Unlike a shortcut, a link is at the file system level and can be used to create an alias for a file or folder that is in a different location. For example, you can create a hard link (Directory junction) called c:win that points to c:windowssystem32. After the link is created, you can open up command prompt or explorer and browse to c:win and you will see the contents of c:windowssystem32. This is not a new technology, it has actually been a core Linux and Unix feature for as far as I can remember but it is nice to finally have it in Windows Vista....

When I upload my photos, they go to the Windows Live picture place instead of just to "my pictures" like they did with XP. When I try to email pictures, they can only be emailed as attachments. Vista Start Menu Click Email Opens With IE7
Jul 4, 2008I recently switched from IE7 to FireFox 3(Should have done it A LOT sooner!!!). I love the program except for one thing. In the Vista Start Menu when I click on my email button it still opens with IE7. Is there a way to fix this so that it uses FireFox instead?

have available to me is the individual contacts. I then put all of these
contacts in one named directory in the contacts folder but this folder is not

Jul 29, 2009I am using Vista/ Windows Mail with no issues for a year or so and recently I can no longer send email. There is no error message but I looked into it a little closer after not getting replies from several email I had sent out. The email go into my out box and appear to leave as normal when sent. I have tried emptying my out box, checked all settings with my ISP, and read a lot of post with out seeing anything else to try.
