Cannot Find A Windows 7 Group, Window Off The Screen It Snaps Back To The

I cannot find a windows 7 group. Im hoping that this group will work. I have a netbook with windows 7. However windows 7 has this silly feature where if you drag a window off the screen it snaps back to the
frame fo the window so it cant be half on and half off. Because this is a netbook the screen is not big so I want to drag my windows off the screen so only half shows up. How can I turn this feature off so i can have my windows dragged half off the screen.

I'm noticing some inconsistencies in quoting behaviour when choosing Reply to Group with Windows Mail. I believe I've seen some references to this elsewhere, but can't find a resolution. For example, I will read a post, where the original poster used the Google web interface to create and post his message. When I choose Reply to Group, the original post is properly quoted and all is well.
By this I mean that the previous post will have a marker, the default being >, and more are added for each level of reply. The poster replies to my reply, again using the Google interface, with proper quoting appearing for the two previous messages. But now, I choose Reply to Group again - and the text I'm immediately replying to is not quoted. Yet I notice that others using Outlook Express can reply with the quoting intact, and I can reply to them with the quoting appearing properly. Restarting Windows Mail does not resolve this.

i don't know what happen but i just notice that my window defender is turned off and cant not turn it back on even if i click on the screen that telling to click on to turn it back .all i get is window defender is not responding .

I cannot get group policy to initiate the screensaver on one of our vista business sp1 machines. I've done extensive research and found only solutions that revolve around updating the HID-compliant mouse driver[COLOR=blue ! important][COLOR=blue ! important][/COLOR][/COLOR]. Now, the machines we have do not use wireless mice and all of them are nearly identical. I've looked through the event viewer but cannot find any sort of task that comes from group policy that locks the machine. I did find eventID 124 "Task triggered by locking the workstation" but its not clear that this is coming from group policy. Regardless, the machine in question never has a log in the event viewer about this task.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 with Vista home premium - 32 bits When I got it, it didn't take me long to connect to the internet but this time when I re-installed it with the DVD that came with the laptop I couldn't Not that only, there's something that I can't recognize with the computer like for example I can't get to graphic properties by right-clicking the desktop so I assume that the DVD changes some parts Now the problem: basically it say "Windows cannot find any networks" which is opposite of when I got it and it found my network plus others quickly. My network is wireless by the way I tried to allow and enable everything on the firewall settings, haven't got to shutting it off yet Oh and I'm on the internet on my old computer so it's not a router problem

I am presently using 96SE. my ISP no longer supports this version as do some programs....my unit is not powerful enough for either xp or vista I am in my eighties and some of my colleagues tell me that vista has a pretty high learning curve, have found both windows 95 and 95se very user friendly. I can get a new unit from Dell loaded with either XP or Vista, i would like to keep current but do not want to become overwhelmed by new technology. I am not a power user but did not find the older window operating system too challenging, the tasks i presently perform are pretty basic my question is given my age and experience level could i handle Vista or should i opt for the XP version.

I can't find/open theme window to change themes.
When I right click, Personalize. I don't have a 'Theme' option to click on. I tried looking every where on how to get it back or to change themes another way. This is my last option to fix this. Here is a screen shot on what I am trying to explain.

We are having trouble adding new groups in Windows Mail. For some reason, it no longer gives us the option of choosing to add a group instead of a single contact. I've clicked on "File" then "New" but "Contact Group" or "Group" is not an option, nor is there a group button on the toolbar. Is there a problem with our settings? We used to be able to add them and now we can't unless we copy an existing group.

I have been using a different boot screen for awhile, with no issues. I updated to SP1 and everything seems to have went just fine. But it did, for some reason, change my boot screen back to the original. No big deal, I thought, I will just change it again. I did that, and it seemed to go fine until just now (a day later).
Now the boot screen once again is back to the factory boot screen, and I cannot get it to change to my custom. I can change the .mui file in the windows/system32/en-US folder (winload.exe.mui) with no problems. But when I restart, it is the factory boot screen.

My antivirus that came installed on my vista computer expired I guess because I kept getting allthese notices aobut it, so I clicked on i and it took me to a website to buy anitvirus 2009 for 50 bucks. I did that and got a registration key and entered it and everything seemed ok. But then aobut every 15 minutes or so, the security center box will pop back up on my screen interupting whatever I am doing. If I am typing, it minimizes my paper and brings up the box. If I am playing a game, it minimizes the game to show me the box, which often results in me becoming dead. What is goig on and how can I stop this.

Is it just me, or does IE8 have more bugs than a low rent apartment?! This is nuts! Links on web pages don't work, screen flashes back and forth to solid black when I move my mouse. What a nightmare! I found it listed in the 'Updates' area, and was able to remove it. I didn't know Microsoft was capable of releasing junk like this...

I guess you can't call it the Blue Screen of Death anymore as at least it collects data and reports the problem and boots back up (or does it?). I've had a total of 3 of these screens and am wondering how I can view what took place and possibly find out if there are any steps I can take to prevent the same thing from happening? Is anyone else experiencing this? I couldn't find anything in search function on several bases.

would you mind helping me with this minor issue I've been having while playing halo, its been doing it since I've installed it, if you can't help, that's understandable to. Whenever I minimize my game of halo, I can't bring it back up for some reason. It'll show in the upper left hand corner Halo, but it wont come up, I wait forever, and it never comes up, so I end up, closing it out, and ending the game. At first I tried to get used to it, but sometimes my screen will minimize because of updates, and other stuff, and its really annoying because I can't bring back up my game of halo. I tried reinstalling it, but it would still do the same thing, if you can figure out something to fix this,

Note my name, I really hardly know one button from another on these infernal machines but I have to try something to fix a very annoying very recent problem. Since some sort of MS download (no idea which one) my screen goes black & can't always be brought back by plugging and unplugging. Now, even when I log on it is black. Sometimes I can get it back, but if I leave the pc for too long off it goes again not to be retrieved at all. The monitor is happy & healthy when i do get it back so what is happening and how do I fix it?

My computer is freaking out and i cant figure out why. I try to start it normally and it posts and I see the green loading bar for windows at the bottom of the screen and then the screen goes black. I can load into safemode but that is all. I can not restore sucessfully.

I have Vista. Just now, something happened to my Firefox window so that the bottom edge was below the bottom of the screen. I couldn't find a way to resize the window so that the bottom edge was visible. (I had to close and restart Firefox and it was okay.) Was there a way to resize a window without dragging the edge or corner? I had no way to get to the edge. I right clicked on the title bar and selected Size.

I have a Dell laptop that when you open a program will no fill the screen. On the right side of the screen it shows the desktop. Even if you right click in the area nothing happens. It almost like some thing is hidden and will not let anything display in the area.

I click Start, then Windows Update - nothing, it just locks up as a blank screen. It's not listed as a Program on Control Panel I've tried to download it, but it won't download. I've searched other sites, nothing helps. I restored the PC to a about month previous (5/12/2010) - nothing.I have Comcast and they replaced McAfee with the Norton Suite and that is what I'm using, not Windows protection software. Could that affect the use of Windows Update?What would you recommend?

ForceWare 175.80 Full screen 3d gaming resets/ignores my gamma settings... Haven't had that problem in past with ATi x1900xtx card... Gamma settings will work if game is running in window mode, but it hurts the performance of the game, soo i'm looking for a solution... I have two questions first is where do I find the Windows 7 Disscussion Group. Have posted here because was unable to locate the windows 7 Discussion Group. My computer which is a SAMSUNG N110 3 months old has become very very very slow. It has Windows 7 installed I have upgraded the memory to two GIG. I have antivirus software and Anti Malware bytes installed.
The problem i have is that the machine seems to slow down and sometimes crash whenever I click on internet explorer and many other applications such as office 2007 etc, etc. I have run the Norton Virus protection which was clean - I run the Malaware and picked up several Trojans which i have cleared. The problem is still extant.

I've been trying for a few days to set up a group mail list but keep getting
an individual error message back for each address on the list (5.1.1 - Bad
destination email address 'invalid domain "": no dot found') I have made
individual contacts of each person thati wish to send to (as despite what the
help file says about clicking the toolbar and choosing "group" all I ever
have available to me is the individual contacts. I then put all of these
contacts in one named directory in the contacts folder but this folder is not
available to me when I go to send a new EMail.
