Cannot Find A Windows 7 Group, Window Off The Screen It Snaps Back To The
Mar 29, 2010I cannot find a windows 7 group. Im hoping that this group will work. I have a netbook with windows 7. However windows 7 has this silly feature where if you drag a window off the screen it snaps back to the
frame fo the window so it cant be half on and half off. Because this is a netbook the screen is not big so I want to drag my windows off the screen so only half shows up. How can I turn this feature off so i can have my windows dragged half off the screen.
Unable To Open Attachments In Windows Mail: Windows Cannot Find File Name
Jul 29, 2009There are discussions on this general subject but no aparent resolution. About two months ago I was sometimes prevented from opening photo attachments on some emails received from the same party and sometimes could open them. By this I mean, I would click on the paperclip where a list of photos would appear and I'd click on on photo and I'd get a message saying: "Windows cannot find file name (photo captions used by sender).jpg. Make sure your typed the name correctly and then try again." Well, of course I didn't type the file name; the sender did. I could click on the save attachments, and once saved to a folder I could open them from the folder. I forwarded the mail to others, and they report no problems in viewing the photos. I can also view the photos in the email itself, but it would be necessary to scan up and down and from left to right to view the whold photo and the caption would not appear.

Mar 30, 2007I installed Vista a while back, on a system pretty much formatted this way:
partition 1: linux
partition 2: XP
partition 3: linux swap
partition 4: extended {
partition 5: linux home
partition 6: linux usr
partition 7: Vista
This worked fine. Perfectly, in fact, and I was really pleased with how smooth the Vista install went. I noticed that Vista installed its bootloader on partition 2. Since I was going to trash XP at some point, I figured I would cross this bridge when I got to it. I got to that bridge last night. It was time to install a different flavour of linux, and trash XP. But nothing's ever easy... I reinstalled linux so that things look more like:.........

Jun 26, 2008I had Vista Ultimate x64 installed on my machines, and wanted to install the x86. But, when I tried to install the x86 after deleting the x64 version, I now get an error that says that "Windows is unable to find a system volume that meets its criteria for installation." I have reformatted the drive and all else that I can think of, but, it it continues to throw the error message. What should I do? I am sure that my system and hardware is sufficient to handle the Vista install, and I am trying to install to the same drive that I had the other installed to: Processor 2.00 gigahertz AMD 64 Opteron's (2 installed)

May 8, 2010I have two questions first is where do I find the Windows 7 Disscussion Group. Have posted here because was unable to locate the windows 7 Discussion Group. My computer which is a SAMSUNG N110 3 months old has become very very very slow. It has Windows 7 installed I have upgraded the memory to two GIG. I have antivirus software and Anti Malware bytes installed.
The problem i have is that the machine seems to slow down and sometimes crash whenever I click on internet explorer and many other applications such as office 2007 etc, etc. I have run the Norton Virus protection which was clean - I run the Malaware and picked up several Trojans which i have cleared. The problem is still extant.

an individual error message back for each address on the list (5.1.1 - Bad
destination email address 'invalid domain "": no dot found') I have made
individual contacts of each person thati wish to send to (as despite what the

have available to me is the individual contacts. I then put all of these
contacts in one named directory in the contacts folder but this folder is not
available to me when I go to send a new EMail.

When I try to access my newsgroup (where all my info is correctly entered and stored in the account setup) a Windows Security window pops up, displays my Vista PC administrator symbol and asks me for a user name and password to access the newsgroup account. I enter the correct info and Windows Security screen will not accept it. I had never ever been asked for a user name and password by a Windows Security Pop Up before and it doesn't ask me for that info on my e-mail.

However, no Newgroups were visible. Unable to find a way to find them I clicked on "Help" and the advice includes "Click the Tools menu, and then click Newsgroups." Jun 6, 2009In the process of trying to get current (I am within 2000 messages) with the messages in this group, I have seen many requests for help with problems about attachments. I am interested in helping diagnose the problem if I can.
I don't need help with a workaround; I don't mind saving attachments, which works for me. I am a developer with Visual Studio 2008 and such and I will attempt to diagnose the problem if possible.
I had assumed I don't have the problem but I am getting the following when I try to view a jpeg attachment:
"Windows cannot find 'Photo0192.jpg'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."
Is that the same problem most people are getting when they have a problem
with attachments?
The only thing I am aware of that might have caused a problem is that I installed IE 8 when it was still very buggy, and then I uninstalled it.
Later at some point Windows Update re-installed IE 8 (I assume that happened when IE 8 was released). I assume that since most people encountering the problem are non-technical, they would not have installed a beta version of IE 8.
Could the problem be a security problem? If so, could it might help to audit security failures? I am not sure of the details of doing that, but I am interested in trying things such as that if it helps diagnose the problem for Microsoft to know what to fix.
