View 5 RepliesI am SO excited about the coming of windows 7 that I cannot wait. However I am at loss as to where the windows 7 news group is?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI use Windows mail for my e-mail and news group access. When I access my comcast e-mail (where all the info is correctly entered and stored in the account setup) I have no problem. When I try to access my newsgroup (where all my info is correctly entered and stored in the account setup) a Windows Security window pops up, displays my Vista PC administrator symbol and asks me for a user name and password to access the newsgroup account. I enter the correct info and Windows Security screen will not accept it. I had never ever been asked for a user name and password by a Windows Security Pop Up before and it doesn't ask me for that info on my e-mail.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIm going to sound like a Neophyte question. Why is it that this newsgroup is hijacked by this guy Keven and what ever the heck he is doing. I dont get it. Cant this news group be set up to refuse mail from this name. Im not critical really I just dont understand, with all the technology today, surely the moderator has the power to stop his eamil address. And if he creates a new one put it in. Ive neverrun a news group so I may be in the dark.
My second question is perhaps more phylisophical. I dont get what he is doing, I mean the messages are stupid. At least if they are ads for drugs I get it he is selling something but, these messages I just dont get ?? What is the point of it all. I hope Im not focusing too much attention on this I just dont get these two questions. Its amazing how one guy can be such a fool?? I flag it as spam but no one seems to do anything about it??

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've had a problem for a while now. Every time I open Windows Mail up, or the news groups, I get a message saying Windows mail isn't my default mail program, and asks if I want it to be. I click yes every time, but I will still get this message when I open Windows Mail again the next day. Everything's works OK after I click this message. No other errors or anything.

I guess I must have been blind when I say Vista machines on a USAF base.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWe are having trouble adding new groups in Windows Mail. For some reason, it no longer gives us the option of choosing to add a group instead of a single contact. I've clicked on "File" then "New" but "Contact Group" or "Group" is not an option, nor is there a group button on the toolbar. Is there a problem with our settings? We used to be able to add them and now we can't unless we copy an existing group.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have two questions first is where do I find the Windows 7 Disscussion Group. Have posted here because was unable to locate the windows 7 Discussion Group. My computer which is a SAMSUNG N110 3 months old has become very very very slow. It has Windows 7 installed I have upgraded the memory to two GIG. I have antivirus software and Anti Malware bytes installed.
The problem i have is that the machine seems to slow down and sometimes crash whenever I click on internet explorer and many other applications such as office 2007 etc, etc. I have run the Norton Virus protection which was clean - I run the Malaware and picked up several Trojans which i have cleared. The problem is still extant.
*poof!* Ah! <Looks around> Where's Brink? I'm from that MS Discussion Group on Windows Mail.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've been trying for a few days to set up a group mail list but keep getting
an individual error message back for each address on the list (5.1.1 - Bad
destination email address 'invalid domain "": no dot found') I have made
individual contacts of each person thati wish to send to (as despite what the
help file says about clicking the toolbar and choosing "group" all I ever
have available to me is the individual contacts. I then put all of these
contacts in one named directory in the contacts folder but this folder is not
available to me when I go to send a new EMail.
I am unable to create a "new contact group" in windows mail. When I open the contacts file I am unable to locate any command to create a new group. I can create new contacts ok but not the group. I have createdgroups before but for some reason the "Create new Group" command has disappeared.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm sure I must be doing something wrong, but I have Windows Mail on a laptop using Vista. It works fine, but all of a sudden, I can't fine how to add a new contact or group. I think I recall it being pretty easy and self explanatory before, so I think I must have some hidden files somewhere. However, I tried everything I can think of.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently had a major computer problems are due to installing an errant copy of SP2 on my Vista Ultimate + SP1. I was fortunately able to recover everything and I'm back in business except that Windows Update only does Windows; it no longer does stuff like look for updates for Office. When I try to include these kind of things I get told I have to log in as Administrator or become a member of the Administrators Group. I am logged on
as an administrator with administrator privileges.
I cannot find a windows 7 group. Im hoping that this group will work. I have a netbook with windows 7. However windows 7 has this silly feature where if you drag a window off the screen it snaps back to the
frame fo the window so it cant be half on and half off. Because this is a netbook the screen is not big so I want to drag my windows off the screen so only half shows up. How can I turn this feature off so i can have my windows dragged half off the screen.
Now consumers will know why DRM is bad news. Did you buy some MSN music?
View 7 Replies View RelatedMessenger Group, developed with Windows Live Messenger platform, is a service for a group of Messenger users chatting together in real time. Maybe you think that Windows Live Messenger supports multi-conversation, but this multi-conversation is temporary, will be dismissed with the finish of conversation.
Compared with multi-conversation, Messenger Group is an existing group with each member in, members can talk together at any time without creating a temporary multi-conversation. Messenger Group makes a group of people connecting closer, no matter whether they are on your Messenger contact list. You can create a group for a team, a department or a company to chat online together. Now if you have a Windows Live ID, then go to Messenger Group website

Each Messenger Group can have 900 members at most
Group manager can change group name and display picture

When they didn't disappear on June 1st, there were all kinds of speculations going on, but now we know for sure: they are gone. All WinME ng's and the german ng. all gone by now, with the click of the mouse. Can someone reiterate where to turn instead for sharing of pertinent information?
View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to set WIN MAIL so that it doesn't open a post when I connect to a server? In Outlook Express IIRC when I connected to a server it didn't open anything until I actually selected a message. WIN MAIL seems to open almost any post on the server at random. It's not the last post I read and I'm not even sure it's one that I have read in the past--it just seems pretty random. I'd just like it to sit there with the preview pane blank until I select a message. Is there any way to have that happen?
View 9 Replies View RelatedHow do I set up Newsgator to get my Microsoft newsgroup stuff in Outlook 2007? I already have NewsGator plugin installed. It asks me for a server, username, and password. Would my username be my email address? What format do I use for the NNTP server? I tried microsoft.public.windows.vista.general, but it said it could not connect to the news server. View 7 Replies View RelatedI use Outlook for my e-mails. Unfortunately, Outlook does not have access to news groups. When I go to Mail to get access to the news groups, Mail downloads all of the e-mails since I last used Mail. It may have been weeks since my last use of Mail so the list is rather long (hundreds). Is there any way to stop downloading all of these e-mails that I have already dealt with on Outlook? Why does Outlook not provide access to Newsgroups?
