I have tried and entered all the information to add email for the Microsoft Mail but nothing happens. I get eror messages and mail is still in the outbox. How can I correct this? View 4 Replies View RelatedFacing problems regarding searching email in Microsoft Outlook. I think this is due to Indexing. I have tried to rebuild the Indexing but it shows 0 item indexed all the time. Now my questions are as below:
1) How much time it takes to rebuild the Indexing ? My approx. MS Outlook .pst file size is around 2.8 GB.
2) i had a virus called warm.silly.nisan in SeachProtocolHost.exe. Does this effect indexing or searching email in MS Outlook ?
3) I was stressed due to this problem and tryied to "rebuild" Indexing but it was taking more than 24 hrs and so i went to Indexing options in Control panel and then in advance options i did "Restore Defaults". Which also took to much time and all the times it shows "o items indexed". Can anyone tell me what is the acually problem in indexing ?
4) Do this indexing has any relation with "regedit". If yes then what are the files in regedit i have to check and for what parameters.?

can both run on one vista computer. Microsoft mail with one email provider (work) and outlook with another(school)? any special setup required. I suppose each will have its own contact manager, but one could be used.

When you sent a e-mail, all the addresses would show before you sent the e-mail. In Vista, Microsoft Mail will allow you more than one address per person, but when I put the name in the "TO Box", only one address for that person shows up. In XP I could pick the address just before the e-mail was sent, but I can't seem to find a was to do it in Vista.

This may take up to a few minutes". If I don't click OK (which is a pain), I will get a "server busy" error from QuickBooks when I try to go into the next customer.

They won't come through mail box. They don't come back as not sendable, they don't come through. They just disappear. I also like to sometimes send web pages to myself when I find something that I want to read later; and sometimes a link. But this is same as sending myself an email and it does not come through. I just updated Vista with the service pack 1. Ever since doing that, I cannot send mail through Windows Mail, however, I can receive. Every time I try to send a message I get an error that says:

It has the Windows Vista OS installed (an upgrade to 7 is available FOC). He is now using --> X-Mailer: Microsoft Windows Mail 6.0.6001.18000. He tells me .... "All your emails are coming through as "Malevolent and Phishing" and go to my junk mail box"! I'm certainly not Phishing - nor am I malevolent! individual contacts of each person thati wish to send to (as despite what the
help file says about clicking the toolbar and choosing "group" all I ever
have available to me is the individual contacts. I then put all of these
contacts in one named directory in the contacts folder but this folder is not
