View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a problem opening email attachments. I have tried different attachments with no avail. It used to work and something has now stopped it. I even have problems saving the attachments. I can start the save process, but Window Mail locks up. But strange enough the file is saved to the correct location. If I try to save multiple attachments, only the first file is saved, than its locked up again. On a side note, during one of these crashes a email was corupted, I can no longer read it. I can also not delete it or move it to a new folder.

How can I change this so that my printer prints what is displayed By the way, the printer prints the appropiate size in Microsoft Word.

*My problem is when printing email the far left edge of the copy (type) does not print. The From: To: Cc: are missing the left half of the F, T and C letters all the way down the page as well. It's as if the page is not centered in the print area.*
*Under the print preferences I have tried "print to fit" and all the options to get that left edge to come out. This does not happen on Word docs however there is a left margin set on those.

View 5 Replies View RelatedDoes Microsoft even care?? The software routinely hangs, crashes, won't process, freezes or you get error messages when processing as noted in several posts here?
- Are there any patches via Microsoft?
- Is there a version of Outlook Express that works with Vista?
can both run on one vista computer. Microsoft mail with one email provider (work) and outlook with another(school)? any special setup required. I suppose each will have its own contact manager, but one could be used.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIn Windows XP, the Microsoft mail program would allow more that one e-mail address for a person. When you sent a e-mail, all the addresses would show before you sent the e-mail. In Vista, Microsoft Mail will allow you more than one address per person, but when I put the name in the "TO Box", only one address for that person shows up. In XP I could pick the address just before the e-mail was sent, but I can't seem to find a was to do it in Vista.

Quote: Security experts are warning of deceptive e-mails that claim that Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) Outlook needs an update. "The e-mail claims that you have a new message in Microsoft Outlook, but you need to reconfigure your settings (by clicking on the helpful link) in order to read it. Of course, the e-mail is bogus and you're actually in danger of handing over details of your email settings to internet hackers," Graham Cluley, Sophos security expert, wrote in his blog.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'd reinstalled Vista Prem Home Basic on a Celeron based machine without SP1 or SP2. And funny enough, the system locks up. This is a fresh install. Although we did install her Verizon AntiVirus suite, could it possiblly prevent the system from working right? View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been having major problems with Vista for the past 10 days. It seemed to start after 2 updates on May 13th and I spent several hours on the phone with Microsoft on May 18th and things seemed better - the remaining problem is that the system locks up after a period of inactivity - usually and hour or two. It has also locked with a backup program running and thus fails to complete the backup. Each of the following errors seem to re-appear in the event log each time
the system locks -
Event ID 45 - volmgr ??? the system could not load the crash dump driver
Event ID 7000 ??? Service Control Manager Event Log Provider - The Parallel
port driver service failed to start due to the following error: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.
Event ID 6008 - Event Log System - The previous system shutdown at 9:41:14 AM on 5/22/2008 was unexpected. I have to shut down using the power button and restart.
Whenever I put my computer to sleep, it doesn't actually GO to sleep. Rather, it's like if I had just locked it instead. The display stays on and it just goes to the Log In screen for vista. When my computer used to go to sleep, the display would turn off and so would all the LED indicators on my laptop, expect for the power indicator, which would blink on and off. Btw, I'm running a Dell Inspiron 1420 with Windows Vista Basic 32bit.
