View 9 Replies View RelatedI recently installed Office 2007 on a new Vista 64 bit system. I was unable to install my previous version of WordPerfect Office 12. When using WP on my previous Windows XP system, I was able to go into the word processor, click open, go to the wp folder (where I kept all my documents) and do a search based on a particular word I was looking for. For example, I could type in the word "hebrew" in the files box and each document file that contained that word (not only in the file name but in the contents of the file) was listed. I could then preview the contents of each document file and open the one I wanted.
Does this feature work in Word 2007 under Vista 64? I have only been able to find a file name with the word I type, even though I know many other document files contain the word I type in the files box. This has been very frustrating because it means I have to preview every file to find the one I want rather than just the files with the typed word in its contents.
I don’t know if I’m in the correct area or not. If not, maybe someone can point me in the right direction. I have Vista 32 Home Premium operating system. I have Microsoft Office 2007. When I tried to delete my Junk E-mail folder it tells me it’s full. I know it isn’t so I have been deleting emails individually. How can I fix this problem?

I have been running Vista with MS Works for some time. I have never bothered to install my ols copy of MS Office XP because I only use the word processor and the one that came installed with Vista was perfectly fine. However, about a month ago I had to install Office XP because I had to send some papers to my university tutor and he could only open documents in the .doc format. However, I now find that when I try to send batches of photos with their size reduced through Windows Photo Gallery they are routed through Outlook Express on MS Office XP and there is no way to send them. There is a message bar telling me the mail has not been sent but there is no send tab. I assume this is because I no longer have Outlook Express. I can send them one at a time if I open windows mail and send them as an attachment but that is a bit tedious. My question is: how do I get the photos to route from Photo Gallery through Windows Mail rather than Outlook.

I have a copy of Microsoft Office 2007 (I still have enough liscenses left for this laptop) which I was trying to install. I try to run setup and it attempts to load and then automatically closes and displays the following message:"Setup could not find any available products to install. Please contact your system administrator."
I am the administrator on this computer. When I try to launch setup on my other laptop that runs 32bit it works just fine. Before I bought the new laptop I checked to see if my software would work on 64bit and the internet said it would. Am I doing anything wrong?
i have a brand new HP Pavilion Slimline s3542.uk Desktop PC that seems to be working fine but I cannot download my emails into office outlook 2007 or get my NOD32 anti virus to update. My internet access is fine either wireless or hard wired directly to the router and my old XP PC works fine on the same connection. I have tried disabling the windows firewall and router firewall and also the anti virus, i have tried installing a different anti virus (avg) but all to no avail. Operating system is vista home premium 64 bit. Windows update is up to date.

I tried to repair the installation and that didn't work so I tried to uninstall but going through add/remove programs didn't work so I had to follow the microsoft guide to manually uninstall it. That seemed to work but now I can't get it to install, the installer just hangs and doesn't go anywhere. I've tried pretty much everything I can think of and my next move is reformatting which I don't really want to do.

I have used Microsoft Outlook 2002 for a few years so I had no real problems until recently. I save many of the e-mails I receive in either text or HTML format with no problem. When I save an e-mail now in
either text or HTML now, a folder is automatically created with the same name I have created the e-mail I have created. The e-mail which I save is not saved in the folder which automatically appears. What is in the folder are three files: colorschememapping, filelist, and themedata. If after I save the file then go back and delete the folder with the same name as the file, both the folder and the e-mail which I saved are
deleted. I do not know what is going on. Now my computer is getting filled up with e-mail messages I want to keep and folders that I really do not want. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I am aboutready to pull my hair out.

It's really wierd, sometimes the whole word is there and somtimes like the last one or two letters are mising but nothing that seems regular from day to day. It all started when my Internet Explorer or Microsoft Office Outlook kept on getting stuck, and I would get a note that Internet Explorer / Outlook is restarting. Next - as of yesterday, I started getting all these weird messages when logging onto familiar websites, such as Google and even Microsoft, about how there's a problem with the websites' security certificate, and that it's expired, so I have to click on "Continue to this website" every single time, and the worst part is that I can't logon to my MSN Messenger! The Error Code is: 80048820, and the Extended Error Code is: 80048412. I've tried working with their Troubleshoot, but nothing works! It's strange, because my Skype is working perfectly fine.
I don't live at home, so MSN is a very important communication tool for me. The third problem is that all of the usual Windows Updates, which are normally downloaded automatically, are not downloaded anymore, and I get a message that the Updates could not be downloaded.
I have a desktop that I upgraded from XP Pro to Vista Ultimate and a laptop running on Windows XP Pro. I recently upgraded both devices from Office 2003 to Office 2007. Before I upgraded the desktop to Vista, I copy the Outlook.pst back and forth the two machines to synchronize my e-mail. Now that the desktop is running on Vista and the laptop still running XP Pro, can I do the same thing to synchronize my e-mail or is there a better solution in synchronizing the pst files.

Microsoft office 2007 was working for about couple of weeks when i installed it, but later on, it started not to work. I tried the repair function, reinstalling it, manually deleting the files and reinstalling it afterwards. I have also tried installing service pack 1 RTM to see if it will fix the problem. Just migrated from Outlook Express on XP-SP3 to Windows Mail on Vista. Trying to import .dbx files from OE to WM - and following the import "wizard". Having selected the drive where the .dbox files definitely are, I get the message "No messages can be found in this folder or another application is running that has the required files open" Windows Explorer confirms the files are in the selected drive and I am quite unaware of any other file which might be using them. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong/how to solve ?

I bought a new home computer with Vista to replace an old one running XP. Outlook Express came with XP, while Vista has Windows Mail instead. I used to be able to set it up to get my MSN mail from within Outlook Express, which I have yet to figure out how to do the same with Windows Mail. I heard that Windows mail cannot take in webmail like MSN. Is that true? Is that is true, then two obvious questions.
1) Why would Microsoft go backward and remove a functionality from newer mail program that comes with the operating system?
2) Both Windows Mail and MSN are Microsoft products, so how can it be possible that they don't connect? Can anyone enlighten me before I throw in the tower and move back to XP?

Vista's Windows Mail worked fine for a couple of weeks, then suddenly, for no reason, XP's Outlook Express appeared, and Windows Mail disappeared. Every email, including those that I had deleted in XP going back to January '09 showed up; and now when I send an email, it doesn't show up in the "sent" box. I suspect Windows Mail is running in the background, and my sent emails are being saved there. Where is my Windows Mail, and how to I get it to become my default email again?
