Microsoft Office 2007: "the Program Has Stopped Working"

Mar 6, 2008

I have vista home premium 32bit and i have been recently getting error messages like the following: "the program has stopped working". Microsoft office 2007 was working for about couple of weeks when i installed it, but later on, it started not to work. I tried the repair function, reinstalling it, manually deleting the files and reinstalling it afterwards. I have also tried installing service pack 1 RTM to see if it will fix the problem. But so far, nothing works. Will the offical service pack fix this problem?

Microsoft Office 2007 Can't Work 64bit

Aug 25, 2009

I just recently purchased a new laptop and it finally arrived today. I have a copy of Microsoft Office 2007 (I still have enough liscenses left for this laptop) which I was trying to install. I try to run setup and it attempts to load and then automatically closes and displays the following message:"Setup could not find any available products to install. Please contact your system administrator."

I am the administrator on this computer. When I try to launch setup on my other laptop that runs 32bit it works just fine. Before I bought the new laptop I checked to see if my software would work on 64bit and the internet said it would. Am I doing anything wrong?

Word 2007 Has Stopped Working

Jul 26, 2008

I tried doing the same as in 'Word has stopped working' and it did not work for me. I have Vista Home Premium 32 bit and I have Office 2007 (licensed). For a few months Word was working fine and one not-so-fine-day it decided to work errantly. It opens up fine but

- the scroll up and down button stopped working, (also the scroll-bar)
- does not open a word file if the file icon is clicked,
- when I click the Office-button and then 'Word-Options' the options like 'Trust Center' etc do not work. These do not even get the focus when mouse moves over it
- When I close word. It consistently pops up 'Word has stopped working' I guess this has something to do with user-interface icons, buttons etc. I have installed, re-installed Word and also all HP drivers..

Program Has Stopped Working

Mar 16, 2009

My Sony camera software includes a utility PMB Launcher. Ever since I installed Vista and upgraded to the Vista versions of the software, this utility has a problem. WHenever I click on the icon, almost immediately Windows Vista puts up a message box that says "PMB Launcher has stopped working. Vista is checking for a solution to your problem."

A few seconds later this is replaced by another box that says "PMB Launcher has stopped working.. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." The only option is to close the program. Nowhere can I find out what exactly is the problem and there is nothing on the Sony website that indicates other users have this probem. THis is getting to be problematic as my camera is filling up and I can't offload my pictures. How can I find out what might be the problem? Perhaps it is is simple as me having an incorrect path to the pictures folder or something, but I can't find out.

My Office 2003 Disappeared After Installing Office 2007

May 15, 2010

Originally, I had Office 2003 installed in my computer, & a trial version of 2007 that had already expired.

Today I installed a full version of Microsoft Office 2007, without removing any of the other two versions from my computer. I realized that it seemed to automatically remove the older version. I`m not bother about it not being there, as I got the new version, but I wonder if this is an automatic uninstalling that Office does, or if the version is still there but I can`t see it, as I would like to remove it properly if it`s still somewhere in my computer.

I checked in Control Panel & the only thing I can see is "Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007", the full version I just installed, & everything that come with it. No 2003 anywhere.

Ever since March 3rd, 2009, every time I plug in my MANHATTAN WP5540 graphics tablet, WISPTIS.EXE crashes with the Problem Event Name of "APPCRASH." It was 1:42PM when I plugged in my tablet (Atlantic Standard Time.) I am running Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 x64. "so-and-so Program Has Stopped Working

May 26, 2008

Just this morning, I've been getting the error message "so-and-so program has stopped working." At first, it only happend with Winamp. It happened several times before I uninstalled Winamp and re-installed it several times, with no help. I even tried older versions of Winamp; Winamp will now open and stay open, but it won't play any files and will not give me any error messages. After I pretty much gave up on Winamp, the error message appeared for Firefox. After FireFox, the HP Digital Monitor also "stopped working." I'm not sure as to why this is happening and I'm afraid to change any settings for fear of making it worse. EDIT: Songs won't play anywhere on any program on my computer anymore.

Fifa 2008: "Autorun Program Has Stopped Working"

Dec 11, 2008

I have come across this problem in vista a few times before and every time I just ended up giving up the idea of installing a software. But this time I don't wish to. I have recently got a copy of Fifa 2008 iso. I used virtual clone drive to mount the image. Following this, the iso is getting mounted but autorun crashes.

I get the following error - "Autorun program has stopped working". Because of this I can't even install the game. It's a cracked iso and it works perfectly fine on XP machines. So, I presume that this is a problem with vista only.

Office H&S 2007 Install On X64

Aug 14, 2009

I just replaced my 10-year-old PC and am trying to install Office Home and Student 2007 on my new Vista 64 machine. Unfortunately, whether I use the autorun or manually double-click setup.exe on the disc, nothing happens. I get an hourglass briefly, the disc spins in the drive, and setup.exe appears in the task manager for about three seconds then disappears. Nothing else happens.

I've downloaded every available update from Microsoft. I'm logged in as an administrator, I've tried to right-click on setup.exe and select run as admin from there, I've tried changing compatibility mode to XP SP2, and nothing seems to work.

I've been searching online for awhile now and can't find anything with regard to this issue. Has anyone seen this before? Or, can anyone give me some suggestions? I didn't anticipate any problems because I read in many places that Office 2007 runs fine on Vista 64, so I uninstalled Works and the free 60-day Office trial from my new PC before I tried to install the full version of Office to avoid conflicts. Unfortunately, I don't have access to Word or Excel now, and it's going to be a problem.

Uninstalling/reinstalling Office 2007

Jun 19, 2008

The Office 2007 icon on my start menu inexplicably became nonfunctional this week. I'm running Vista Home Premium x32. I tried uninstalling Office 2007, but I get the message: "Setup could not find any available products to install. Please contact your system administrator." If I try to reinstall using the original disc, I get the message: "Setup has stopped working." I've tried to follow the instructions at 'How to uninstall the 2007 Office system if you cannot uninstall it by using the "Add or Remove Programs" feature' (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218/en-us) for uninstalling without using the add/remove program, but I am unable to go to any "choose details" menu on the view tab ... it doesn't exist, so I can't continue the instructions from there. I don't have a second drive to try installing the disc from there. The disc is brand-new, not dirty or damaged. I've defragged the computer.

Install Office Enterprise 2007.

May 5, 2009

Have to Remove Student Home Office 2007 Trial(non-commercial)first. Cannot remove through programs, Ccleaner or Revo Uninstaller. Somehow it mysteriously just went from "Trial" to "non commercial Trial"? I also had trouble when I originally installed the triall, they turned it off after a week, til I emailed them and they sent me a link. Probably Reman issue again, they probably thought I already had my trial period.

Getting same 1402 error as many others here...since I cannot uninstall through Programs...going by "Article ID: 928218"....tried 4 times. I should point out this is a reman computer and I did have Office 2000 on here before, before trying out the trial. May be some remnants left over. So there may also be possible remnants of Office 2000. Can I run the Installer Cleanup Utility(290301)after removing Office 2007, or will that mess up other programs? I'd rather not use it. What a mess....I know!................
