Installed SP1 late last week and I'm quite unhappy with it. Stupid SP turned all the start up items and proccesses on, that I'd spent weeks filtering through and turning off. I've turned off pretty much everything, yet my computer takes about twice as long to boot up as before. I HATE that stupid icon they've used to replace the hourglass, because it's ALWAYS there.
In addition, the newest oddity is only the 1st person to login can get their hotmail without a reboot. If I login under my username and get hotmail, then my wife switches user and tries to get her hotmail she can login, but can't view her inbox. The opposite is true if she logs in first and I switch user. Who knows what else this SP screwed up but I haven't found yet. Anybody else have this issue and figure out a fix?
I just downloaded MSN live - I can see my contacts, my email address is ok - can sign in - but when I try to go to mail it tells me I have no inbox. What's up?
Cannot delete messages from either the in-box or the deleted items box after many tries. Message to me says an unknown error has occurred every time I try to delete anything.
Does anyone have this problem? I created an e-mail with an image, when I send the e-mail. The e-mail goes to the receiver inbox without the image or picture.
Am using Windows Mail v6 on a Toshiba Satellite laptop and after I have sent a couple of email messages and then want to move the sent messages to relevant folders, my personal folders under the inbox together with the standard mail folders (i.e. outbox etc) have disappeared. I close Windows Mail and open again and the relevant folders still do not appear. Only once I have restarted my pc will the folders then appear. It is most frustrating. I am running the latest home version of AVG Anti Virus.
I've been using Windows Mail since Feb 2008, but I discovered a couple of days ago that all my inbox mails received before April 4 have been disappeared from the Inbox.
My inbox showed up empty this morning. On the left, next to the inbox tab it says I have (12) new messages however the main screen is blank and says "there are no items in this view". It isn't showing any of the unread messages OR the read messages I have saved in my inbox. It keeps recieving emails as this morning I only had (4) new...now (12) however I cannot find them anywhere to read. I have checked all the settings and everything is the same??
I'm having a problem, and this problem just started today. I was recieving the emails yesterday to my inbox, but when I logged on the computer to check them today there was none in the inbox, and I know for a fact that there would definately be something in my inbox today because I get notification sent to my inbox when someone replys to me on other sites.
Have Win Vista and Windows Mail. Have messgae stuck in Inbox. Deleted InBox folder in User/AppData/Local/Microsoft/WindowsMail. Reopen Mail and message are still there. Look in InBox folder and all message are now gone, however. Where is Mail really getting it's messages from?
On ocassion a message will disappear from my inbox. This has happen before my eyes. I recall reading on this forum a possible conflict with AVG free?? I have checked my settings with the phishing on and junk set to low. AVG is set to scan both in and outgoing mail. This has always happen with a message I want to keep in a folder and never with run of the mill stuff.
My emails in my inbox are suddenly disappearing. They're there one minute and then I'll go to a different folder and come back to my inbox and messages are gone.
Just two days ago my mail disappears on my screen from my inbox. I noticed that after the mailbox symbol appears open, the mail disappears until they are all gone. I searched for them and found them. I copied them all to my inbox so I could see them but then it did it again. Somewhere I saw that they are all there in my inbox, I just can't see them.
I cannot get a list of new messages in my inbox. After clicking on the incomming folder, I get 1 message at a time and have to delete it in order to view next message.
when you delete something from your inbox it goes to your deleted items can u delete more then 1 at a certain time? because i spend hours deleting by pressing the delete button then clicking yes.
I have been away for a week and when I came to log back into to my e-mail, this message kept coming up and new e-mail aren't getting into my inbox Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'pop.ntlworld.com', Server: 'pop.ntlworld.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F
This morning I have been receiving email in my inbox, but my outbox appears to be broken. Outgoing mail piles up and whenever I try to send it I get an error message. I can manually delete messages out of the outbox, so it is not the problems with "stuck" outgoing messages (although I did experience that problem a few months ago).
For the last week some of my emails have been disapearing from my inbox after a couple of seconds. They are not in my junk folder. My ISP says its not a problem their end. I am considering reistalling windows mail but don't really know what I'm doing so am reluctant to do this if there is another solution - this may not fix anyway and would I loose all my emails currently in my inbox?
I have recently gotten a Windows Vista Pa and to all the bugs left on it while released onto the productivity shelfs, shame on you. To delete the unwanted and unmoveable emails: Select email Go to Edit Select Mark as Unread and Then DELETE!
I have suddenly started having problems with mail messages disappearing from my inbox. The messages come into my POP3 server and then disappear after I read them. The remain on the ATT Yahoo server and when I try to forward the message to myself, they disappear again. The messages do not appear in the deleted items folder or in my spam folder. I have run a virus scan with no apparent virus.
My Aunt just got her new vista with windows mail and within 2 days got a phishing email and a smutty spam email before she got her junk filters set. Now for some reason the Will NOT DELETE. we have tried everything from drag and drop to move to folder and setting the filters so it would move then to the junk folder and nothing works. i have gone through windows KB and vista help and support and found nothing that worked. i have searched everywhere but can't seem to find anything that might help.
I got a new Motorola Droid and have set it up to receive my emails (it was done at the Verizon store) Ever since then, the emails are streaming straight through to my phone and not accessible on my laptop. I have gone into the account options and checked "save a copy of email on server until deleted from inbox", but I still cannot access any of my emails on my laptop.
I do remember this was an issue when I switched from XP to Vista. I solved it then, but don't remember the solution. Now I installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 64-bit and Office 2007 Standard and the issue is there again. All my received faxes are in My Documents/Fax/Inbox and those that I sent are in My Documents/Fax/SentItems. When I run the Windows Fax and Scan app, I can see all the faxes from my Inbox, but none from the sent items. Also, the ones in the inbox have all the wrong info in the list: the sender for all is Microsoft Fax and Scan Team, subject is Welcome to Windows Fax and Scan, the date is today, pages 1 and fax account Microsoft. so that I can see all my received and sent faxes and with correct information?
a few weeks ago, random e-mails began disappearing from my inbox in windows mail. for example, all of yesterdays e-mails were there this morning and were gone this afternoon. my husband has not had this problem. also, around the same time e-mails started disappearing, all the messages that were still in the inbox showed up in bold as if they hadn't been read. i'm not super computer savvy, but I can usually figure basic things out.
