Mail: No Inbox
Apr 10, 2009I just downloaded MSN live - I can see my contacts, my email address is ok - can sign in - but when I try to go to mail it tells me I have no inbox. What's up?

May 3, 2010Have Win Vista and Windows Mail. Have messgae stuck in Inbox. Deleted InBox folder in User/AppData/Local/Microsoft/WindowsMail. Reopen Mail and message are still there. Look in InBox folder and all message are now gone, however. Where is Mail really getting it's messages from?

Oct 28, 2009On ocassion a message will disappear from my inbox.This has happen before my eyes. I recall reading on this forum a possible conflict with AVG free?? I have checked my settings with the phishing on and junk set to low. AVG is set to scan both in and outgoing mail. This has always happen with a message I want to keep in a folder and never with run of the mill stuff.

Mar 23, 2008Just two days ago my mail disappears on my screen from my inbox. I noticed that after the mailbox symbol appears open, the mail disappears until they are all gone. I searched for them and found them. I copied them all to my inbox so I could see them but then it did it again. Somewhere I saw that they are all there in my inbox, I just can't see them.

Aug 7, 2009I have suddenly started having problems with mail messages disappearing from my inbox. The messages come into my POP3 server and then disappear after I read them. The remain on the ATT Yahoo server and when I try to forward the message to myself, they disappear again. The messages do not appear in the deleted items folder or in my spam folder. I have run a virus scan with no apparent virus.

Feb 14, 2009I have two websites that have 4 email addresses that I have forwared to my personal email inbox (Windows Mail). This way I can have all my emails in one place and I dont have to visit more than one spot to check emails. I am hosting with Network Solutions. I went online to Network Solutions and confirmed that I have set up the protocols so that all my website emails are being forwarded to my personal email address. Everything is set up correctly and I haven't had any problems in the last year until 2 days ago. I sent out test emails and nothing is coming into my personal email address. Nada. However, if i address and email directly to my personal email address, the email comes in and everything is fine. There seems to be a glitch with the website email addresses being forwarded to my personal email. Also, when I went online to Net. Solutions, the emails are not on the server there. It is a mystery. Just thought I'd put this topic out there and see if any Mr. or Mrs. Fix It would come along and put me out of my misery.

What I did previously was right click "inbox", new folder, name it and there it appeared eg RC,type "vista" and a subfolder called vista would appear. If I then wanted to create a sub subfolder I would RC over Vista, type " problems" and that would then appear as a subfolder of vista...........

Mar 31, 2009My computer crashed and I currently have my hard drive set up externally to copy the information off of it onto another computer. I was using Windows Mail that came with Vista on my old computer when it crashed. I've been able to salvage my data, but would like to find my messages stored in my Inbox in Windows Mail. I cannot open the program (Windows Mail) currently, but will be able to open it when my new computer arrives. For now, I'm copying needed files off my hard drive and storing them temporarily on my children's computer. I do not know what folders from Windows Mail, or Windows perhaps, that I need to save in order to hopefully open my saved inbox messages.

Jun 29, 2008Installed SP1 late last week and I'm quite unhappy with it. Stupid SP turned all the start up items and proccesses on, that I'd spent weeks filtering through and turning off. I've turned off pretty much everything, yet my computer takes about twice as long to boot up as before. I HATE that stupid icon they've used to replace the hourglass, because it's ALWAYS there.
In addition, the newest oddity is only the 1st person to login can get their hotmail without a reboot. If I login under my username and get hotmail, then my wife switches user and tries to get her hotmail she can login, but can't view her inbox. The opposite is true if she logs in first and I switch user. Who knows what else this SP screwed up but I haven't found yet. Anybody else have this issue and figure out a fix?

and found over 1,000 files with .eml extension. The names where unrecognizable.
The size of all these files is over 100 gb
What are these email files and why are there so many and can I safely remove them?
Also in the Outbox I have over 100 gb of .nws files.

Apr 3, 2008Am using Windows Mail v6 on a Toshiba Satellite laptop and after I have sent a couple of email messages and then want to move the sent messages to relevant folders, my personal folders under the inbox together with the standard mail folders (i.e. outbox etc) have disappeared. I close Windows Mail and open again and the relevant folders still do not appear. Only once I have restarted my pc will the folders then appear. It is most frustrating. I am running the latest home version of AVG Anti Virus.

Aug 27, 2009My inbox showed up empty this morning. On the left, next to the inbox tab it says I have (12) new messages however the main screen is blank and says "there are no items in this view". It isn't showing any of the unread messages OR the read messages I have saved in my inbox.
