Just two days ago my mail disappears on my screen from my inbox. I noticed that after the mailbox symbol appears open, the mail disappears until they are all gone. I searched for them and found them. I copied them all to my inbox so I could see them but then it did it again. Somewhere I saw that they are all there in my inbox, I just can't see them.
View 6 RepliesI have suddenly started having problems with mail messages disappearing from my inbox. The messages come into my POP3 server and then disappear after I read them. The remain on the ATT Yahoo server and when I try to forward the message to myself, they disappear again. The messages do not appear in the deleted items folder or in my spam folder. I have run a virus scan with no apparent virus.

View 4 Replies View Relateda few weeks ago, random e-mails began disappearing from my inbox in windows mail. for example, all of yesterdays e-mails were there this morning and were gone this afternoon. my husband has not had this problem. also, around the same time e-mails started disappearing, all the messages that were still in the inbox showed up in bold as if they hadn't been read. i'm not super computer savvy, but I can usually figure basic things out.

View 5 Replies View RelatedLocal Folders created to store mail messages such as, receipts for online payments, passwords, etc. have been disappearing. I did not delete them and can't find information related to saved folders or options related to saving email messages. Sending/receiving emails works fine and since the files were stored for many months without an issue, I have to conclude it is a problem with Windows Mail. Formerly I used XP/Outlook Express and had no issue with email saved in local folders. I would like to recover my local files.

I have checked my settings with the phishing on and junk set to low. AVG is set to scan both in and outgoing mail. This way I can have all my emails in one place and I dont have to visit more than one spot to check emails. I am hosting with Network Solutions. I went online to Network Solutions and confirmed that I have set up the protocols so that all my website emails are being forwarded to my personal email address. Everything is set up correctly and I haven't had any problems in the last year until 2 days ago. I sent out test emails and nothing is coming into my personal email address. Nada. However, if i address and email directly to my personal email address, the email comes in and everything is fine. There seems to be a glitch with the website email addresses being forwarded to my personal email. Also, when I went online to Net. Solutions, the emails are not on the server there. It is a mystery. Just thought I'd put this topic out there and see if any Mr. or Mrs. Fix It would come along and put me out of my misery.

What I did previously was right click "inbox", new folder, name it and there it appeared eg RC,type "vista" and a subfolder called vista would appear. If I then wanted to create a sub subfolder I would RC over Vista, type " problems" and that would then appear as a subfolder of vista...........

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy computer crashed and I currently have my hard drive set up externally to copy the information off of it onto another computer. I was using Windows Mail that came with Vista on my old computer when it crashed. I've been able to salvage my data, but would like to find my messages stored in my Inbox in Windows Mail. I cannot open the program (Windows Mail) currently, but will be able to open it when my new computer arrives. For now, I'm copying needed files off my hard drive and storing them temporarily on my children's computer. I do not know what folders from Windows Mail, or Windows perhaps, that I need to save in order to hopefully open my saved inbox messages.

I have tried on two pcs (I only have vista pcs now) with two different user accounts but with no success the posts have never been downloaded or displayed or deleted, they just dont exist as far as mail is concerned I have downloaded thunderbird and the messages appear as they should. I dont like thunderbird, I find it difficult and unintuitive, but at least it works

Primarily it's been used for surfing the net and checking e-mail, light stuff. However, I'm down to about 27GBs and have not added nowhere near 43GBs worth ofmaterial to the PC. Any idea where the memory has gone and how I can get it back? I have checked the temp files and internet files as well and they are long gone

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have Nvidia 8800Gt Up-to-date Drivers 1tb Hd Runnign Vista Ulti 32 and i just applied a crap load of patches last night and then Sp2 about a hour ago. And now Aero disappeared, Checked Services and all that jazz, everything is running. Already redid my score. Every time i try a Theme the uses Aero i get Windows Classic. Along with SP2 Windows Poweshell was installed, could that be messing it up? I dont have anything but updates recently installed. no incompatibility programs. I heard that sometimes when u apply Service patches ur Serial can mess up and might need re-activation? Cuz i remember before i bought a Ultimate Serial after the time limit i couldn't use Aero. I upgraded from Basic to Ulti. So yea, Checked the services, did the score, checked reg, checked processes, and tried most of things suggested on the forums.

View 6 Replies View RelatedThe problem now is that when he clicks on an mp3 or doc file (those are the ones I was able to check) when on the net with internet explorer 7 the download disappears. It pops up with the window to download the file. I removed the check in the "close window when complete" (or whatever it says). You can watch it download the file but when the download is finished the window closes. When you go to the appropriate folder nothing is there. I have even searched the computer with the file name and nothing. It doesn't even attempt to open media player (11) to play the file. He said both the mp3 and pdf issue started at the same time (don't know if that is coincidence or not) and was surprised when I pointed out the same thing with the doc file and no attempt made by computer to open Word. I did download firefox and clicked on an mp3 file and it played fine. Thinking we just needed to repair IE7 I went to M$ site and quickly learned that you cannot download ie7 if you already have it on your computer.

I unclicked show icons and clicked it again and they call came up but in a different way than what I had them. So i spent some time arranging them the way they were. Now everytime I start up my computer they are gone. I do the same procedure but I dont have to rearrange them they are in the right spot. I have searched and came across a guy with the same problem but no one has helped him and it was asked like over a year ago. I did virus checks, updated my virus programs, reset icon cache, and refreshed it. None of the tips worked. I dont want to have to do this everytime I start my computer.
