Feb 14, 2009I have two websites that have 4 email addresses that I have forwared to my personal email inbox (Windows Mail). This way I can have all my emails in one place and I dont have to visit more than one spot to check emails. I am hosting with Network Solutions. I went online to Network Solutions and confirmed that I have set up the protocols so that all my website emails are being forwarded to my personal email address. Everything is set up correctly and I haven't had any problems in the last year until 2 days ago. I sent out test emails and nothing is coming into my personal email address. Nada. However, if i address and email directly to my personal email address, the email comes in and everything is fine. There seems to be a glitch with the website email addresses being forwarded to my personal email. Also, when I went online to Net. Solutions, the emails are not on the server there. It is a mystery. Just thought I'd put this topic out there and see if any Mr. or Mrs. Fix It would come along and put me out of my misery.

May 3, 2010Have Win Vista and Windows Mail. Have messgae stuck in Inbox. Deleted InBox folder in User/AppData/Local/Microsoft/WindowsMail. Reopen Mail and message are still there. Look in InBox folder and all message are now gone, however. Where is Mail really getting it's messages from?

I have checked my settings with the phishing on and junk set to low. AVG is set to scan both in and outgoing mail. This has always happen with a message I want to keep in a folder and never with run of the mill stuff.

I searched for them and found them. I copied them all to my inbox so I could see them but then it did it again. Somewhere I saw that they are all there in my inbox, I just can't see them.

The remain on the ATT Yahoo server and when I try to forward the message to myself, they disappear again. The messages do not appear in the deleted items folder or in my spam folder. I have run a virus scan with no apparent virus.

Jun 24, 2008I have a problem common to most except that I could recive emails and suudenly I cant! I had Macafee when I purchased my computer from Dell together with Vista. It is coincident that the problem occurred since i renewed my subscription to Macafee. However I have taken advice in these threads and disabled it and have tried "netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disabled" in cmd.exe but still to no avail. The error message is

Receiving Mail
Jan 15, 2010About 1 in every 5 emails does not come in through Windows Mail. I know this is happening because I've set up a forwarding account Google Mail. Spam filter is not on so that's not the problem. It seems random so I receive/don't receive email from the same addresses. It's not affected by attachments.

Mar 23, 2008Two weeks ago, email from my cousin in Ireland stopped being received (I am in the USA) for no apparent reason. She has checked/verified my address that she is sending to and it is correct. I have checked/verified that there are no blocks or filters turned on that should prevent her email from coming thru. I have even checked to make sure that her domain "ie" for Ireland is not blocked from my email. I had previously been receiving her email with no problems and had made no changes to my email program or computer.
I have gone to her email address, right clicked and scrolled to "junk mail", then clicked on "add user to safe sender's list" and also "add user's domain to safe sender's list". On the specific day I do that, her emails will come thru. Then the next day, they no longer come thru and continue to disappear. She receives no error messages, nor do I. I never receive the emails. We have verified this by calling each other on the phone so I know she is sending multiple emails daily that I do not receive. I have contacted Comcast, but no solution to date. Have been using McAfee firewall and Norton anti-virus. All of my other email seems to be coming thru fine, it is just the email from my cousin in Ireland that I have not been receiving.

May 20, 2008Windows Mail has worked fine since purchased computer in February 2008. Today, 5/20/08 one incoming message stuck in "receiving". No error message. If I try to shut down the computer, it tells me that a program is still running and I must "abort" the download to shut down the computer. Outgoing mail will not send unless I shut down and restart the computer. I'm basically computer illiterate.
