I'm having a problem with the overlay title on selected clips feature on WMM bleeding from one pix to another. I have around 300 pix and all are fine but a couple of cells. I don't want to slow the transition on all pix and I don't think it's possible to do it on select ones. Is there any other way to correct this problem?

All the colors in my video files are all over the place! dvds the same but pics are fine.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI suddenly got this overlay on my computer screen. Split right down the middle like someone laid a peice of paper over it. Sometimes it fades and you can see the screen behind it. Sometimes there is a band in the middle and the other side is visible with my mouse traveling to it like with a dual screen set up. Is there any way I can find out what is causing this? Everything else looks too good for it to be a graphics card going out?

This video shows a problem I've been having...along with the occasional minimizing of games launched or owned by Steam. It does not happen with non steam games. And after minimizing, the overlay flicker goes away. I would really like to know wtf is going on here. Latest drivers...vista 64, no viruses, SLI 285 GTX.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI previously had XP Pro. When I watched video clips on the Internet the video clip would be downloaded in to the Temporary Internet Files. These were mostly .flv, or .mpg but sometimes .wmv or other video files. These small video clips were from news items, UTube or any other source. I could then copy these files to other folders and keep the video clip. This also was the same for audio files.
I now have a new computer running Vista Ultimate SP2. When I view any video clip from the Internet the files do not appear in the Temporary Internet File folder and I cannot find them anywhere else. Why is this? Are they downloaded to a "Hidden" folder? How can I again save these downloaded video and audio clips? (other than changing back to XP?)
When I transfer video clips from my camera, video works in windows movie maker but there's no audio. The clips are avi and I have vista Home Premium. I installed k-lite codec pack and now have audio in media player but there is still no audio in movie maker. When this problem first arose I couldn't get sound from the clips on anything but quick time. By installing the k-lite pack it enabled sound in photosmart essential, wmp and media center but still not in photo gallery or wmm. I really like the features I see in wmm and would like to experiment.
When I import audio tracks from other places they play just fine in wmm just not the audio from my video clips. And these play fine elsewhere! Also my daughter has avi video clips from her camera that do play in wmm. I downloaded gspot and it says audio was rendered with mulaw - video mjpg. In solutions to make it work were: Src-A-Avi splitter -B - ffdshow video decoder - C - video renderer Src - A - Avi splitter-B-ffdshow Audio Decoder - C Default Direct Sound Device Mute is not checked. I would think it was a camera problem but the clips play fine elsewhere.
How do I capture a snapshot from .MPG movie clips that I got from my camera. I play them using Windows Media Player. I'm using Vista Home Premium.

If I open a folder with pictures or videos in it, in details view, it shows a column called Ratings which has 5 blank stars in it. This seems like a great way to rate photos and movie clips so I can search for favorites. However, I can't seem to figure out any way to APPLY ratings to photos or movie clips using those stars. What's the deal? Is there a way to indeed apply ratings to pictures and movies using those stars, or ??? why are they there??

Vista search has presets for pictures, e-mail, documents, music and other. How can I set it to find all video clips regardless of extension without doing a separate search for each extension?
View 5 Replies View RelatedUsing Vista Home and Windows Mail. Just d/l'd IE 8 and now in Windows Mail, the new mail is automatically selected and shows up in the Preview Pane. Before, I could select an old piece of mail and when new mail came in, it did not get selected until I chose to do this. I want this feature back, but don't know how to get it. The reason? It is my understanding that once a piece of mail is in the preview screen, the sender (spam or otherwise undesirable character), knows you have received it; or if in html format, it can open a virus. I know I can turn off the Preview and do have a button on the top menu to do this, but would prefer to not have to do this whenever going into the email program. I tried to "un-share folders but I keep getting this error message 'You could not stop sharing the selected folder.' Further info says that this folder is in a shared folder, huh? It shouldn't be.

I found a comment on a forum that said i need to select the windows locator
in the "client for microsoft networks" properties. If i ok that and keep all
the related windows open i can gain access to the net. The second i "ok" any
of the related windows i loose access and when checked, the windows locator
is again not selected.
I tried out Vista Ultimate 64bit for a month and got whipped by driver issues. I installed Vista Ultimate 32bit on a 2nd partition and tried using Windows Easy Transfer to transfer files and settings from the 64bit installation and pick them up in the 32bit installaion. This is the error I get every time I try to complete the transfer: "The store you selected was saved on a 64bit machine. Windows Easy Transfer cannot apply the data." Is there a way to use WET to transfer files from a Vista-64bit installation? If not WET, is there another utility?
