When I click "View" while composing a new e-mail message in windows mail the only three options that I get are:
- Cc and Bc
- Status bar
- Customize toolbar
there is no "Edit source" option. What could be the problem? Does Windows Mail have this feature at all?
I've downloaded and installed Windows Live Mail because some of the 'features' in Outlook Express don't work in Windows Mail. I'll elaborate if needed. I was disappointed with Live mail as it doesn't provide me with the ability to edit the 'source' like OE or Windows Mail does; at least I wasn't able to find it. Seems to me that Live works more like Outlook Mail than Outlook Express.

I want to reorganize some of the items on the Windows Start Menu to make it more streamlined and functional. I am right clicking the Windows Start button and choosing "Explore All Users" as directed. It works fine for 85% of the items on the Start Menu but there are still several items on the menu that don't show up in the Start Menu/Programs directory that comes up to edit the menu. How do I access these other items? They must be listed somewhere.

However, when I drag the video clip into the "Video" section of the timeline, and then click the small "+" sign next to "Video", the program responds with "Windows Movie Maker has stopped working". View 8 Replies View RelatedI am using a laptop with Win Vista and Outlook 2007. I have set Outlook to the the default mail handler (both in Start/Default Programs and in Tools/Options in Outlook). Yet, when I start Windows Mail and look under its Tools/Options menu, it shows that "this application is the default mail handler"! In other words, both programs seem to treat themselves as the default ones. This is a problem because whenever I try to install the Plaxo Windows toolbar, it adds it to Windows Mail (not Outlook, which is the program I use and want to be the SINGLE default mailer).

First thing I did was download CS:S and ARMA II, two games that I couldn't play on my old computer. At first Counter-Strike was running fine, but after I downloaded ARMA it began to have little connection hiccups which have screwed me over more than once. Then those hiccups became more frequent until eventually I could only stay in a room for about 2 minutes (1 round) before it would give me the WARNING: Connection Problem text. Then it seemingly fixes itself, only everyone on the map is invisible to me but they can still kill me. I try leaving and rejoining, and that fixes the invisibility problem, but the cycle just happens all over again. My ping is usually around 44 and I have a 5.71 Mbps down/ .42 up connection. I also have an Xbox 360 and a PS3, which I also play regularly and rarely get connection problems on those consoles. this is extremely frustrating to deal with and I'm trying to get into competitive pc gaming. I highly doubt that it's my connection, because the internet works fine on everything else, even ARMA II.

This feature is very annoying, as right button dragging to a folder and selecting move will also deselect sorts as well. This is something I do all day long, and I have to click the name header to re-activate sorts after every file I move or copy. Why does explorer have this unsorted ability? Can it be disabled and act like XP? This one bug is making the use of Vista a pain in the butt, and the only reason I'm using Vista is the Dell machine I have can't get Gigabit speed any network addapter when this machine runs XP. The Start - Computer - properties - option does not show it under Windows Edition as described in one post. I go to Windows Update and cant find it listed there as installed updates. Pretty sure now that its not installed. go to the download page and it directs me to Windows update for single PC downloads, WU takes over and says I am fully up to date! Advice in other posts says to let WU take care of it and it will download and install SP1.

This is when I have a web page of a site I'm working with open on my screen in IE7. I use Windows Vista Home Premium. You could easily achieve this with WinXP using TweakUI but I don't know how to do it in Vista. Reason I want to do this is because the 'Edit with' button at taskbar at top of screen always greys out after any refresh of the page. Is there a registry tweak would let me fix this? Prefer not to have to install an entire tweaking program just for this one change.

View 9 Replies View RelatedThis could start at any time apparently but once it does my whole computer freezes up for 9 seconds exactly, then it's fine for about 50 seconds or so, then frozen for 9 seconds, etc. This will repeat until I reboot the computer. I somehow manged to fix the problem and had completely forgotten about it until the other day.

It sort of fixed my hibernation, now the Start Menu power button would hibernate, but more importantly the 9 second freezes started up again. I quickly ran the Hibernation File Cleaner in Disk Cleanup which is apparently what removed the hibernation option in the first place, but no luck, hibernation was now gone and the freezes still continued....................
i bought a 64 bit version of vista and i have built a new system with an asus p5e mobo 4gb of ram 8800 gt graphics and everything shows to install at the complete installation time it reboots and it then tells me windows did not shut down properly and and give me the safe mode option or boot windows normally when i hit safe mode it says it cannot boot into safe mode and when i hit boot normally it says the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected problem and cannot proceed. to install press ok to restart and start the whole installation process over again.

Then it says explorer is restarting, restarts your desktop, then is ok for about 3 seconds. The error then pops back up and it is stuck in that loop.
It started when he clicked on some popup he shouldn't have. I removed a trojan identified by Mcafee as exploit-byte verify. I have also disabled all startup programs and services (except windows services) through msconfig. However, I am still getting this error popup. Unfortunately, he had previously turned off the system restore option and got rid of the recovery partition.
