Windows Tile Cascades ?
Oct 7, 2006everytime i open my laptop the windows tile cascades a hundred times. what do i do?

Arrange Tile Windows, During An Active Session
Sep 3, 2009Windows that the program opens for that particular worksession are in another order than it used to be. As a consequence of that, the tiles on the bottom of the screen are now in a different order than what I am used to. I want to change that so that the tiles on the bottom of the screen are in the same order as before.
Program does not appear to allow any changes in the order in which it opens the windows, so the only option would then be to change the order of the tiles after opening a worksession.

Feb 28, 2009Did Windows recently send out any updates that would have removed the option to stretch or tile wallpaper on the desktop? As recently as last week I applied new Wallpaper to my desktop then as usual right clicked on the desktop and selected stretch to fill the screen. Today I again changed the Wallpaper but when I right click on my Desktop and select properties there is no longer any option button to select tile or stretch. While searching for information about this I saw a post by someone else who described the exact same problem.

Oct 13, 2007I came home today and found my computer had turned from the sleek silver windows xp theme into the windows classic version. I also have no sound and in the control panel it isn't picking up any audio devices. I cant change the theme back to windows xp in properties either it says im using Windows XP (modified). PLEASE HELP ME! All i know is that the power went out at some point today (about 7 hours ago)

Jan 1, 2008I want to install a new primary hard drive and reinstall windows xp from scratch on the new c: drive. For the moment I would also like to retain the old disc contents and the xp operating system. To try to do this I installed a second hard drive and cloned the old drive c: to the new drive f:. I created a dual boot computer by editing my boot.ini file so I could boot from either the c: or f: drive. I replaced my primary hard drive with a new drive and booted up in the f: drive. Then I cloned the f: drive back to the new c: drive creating a dual boot system. My concern now is that if I reinstall windows xp on the newly installed hard drive, the Dell installation disk will wipe out the operating system and the contents on the f: drive. Is there any way to retain the old system? I'd appreciate any help with this.

May 6, 2007I have a Dell inspiron 1300 which had started to run slowly and take an age to get past the black windows loading page when i booted up. So i decided to use the built in dell software to wipe it clean and revert back to the factory/straight out the box settings. This all went well but now i have no sound what so-ever in windows. I used the diagnostic program you can find by pressing f12 when booting up and in that i could hear music from the speakers but then when i booted up windows there were no sounds at all?
