When I try to use Record Now, to record to a cd, I get error: Your recording device does not support writing to CD. What can I do to correct this.I have deleted record now and reinstalled it,but that didn't do any good.

I want to be able to examine such a record that would not only record file version changes and files added or modified but also every line added, deleted or changed in the Windows Registry.Is there such a utility that really gets it all, down to the last detail?
View 9 Replies View RelatedThe problem is that the computer all of a sudden restarts for, according to me, no reason. It allways happen when I use Cubase (recording program) so that should contribute to that the computer restarts but it's not that the computer gets slow or anything because everything works and then all of a sudden it restarts and I lose all my work(if I don't remember to save).
My first thought was that the computer gets overheated or something but it doesn't seems to be that way either since the computer restarts and not turns off, if you see what I mean. Of previous experience I know that the computer usually turns off when it get's overheated (to cool down) and then after a while you can start it again, but the weird part this time is that it restarts directly.
My new rig recently had a Hauppage WinTV PVR-150MCE analogue TV Tuner attached. Following advice from this forum I was told that I could add any other TV Tuner in addition to what I currently had - it was impossible to add another identical PCI tuner because I am out of slots in my motherboard. So I got the Hauppage WinTV Nova-T DVB USB2.0 Stick - it fits in the USB port, provides me with DVB TV and doesnt have an excess unwanted remote control as I already have an MCE remote that came with the PVR-150MCE.
Now in MCE 2005 I cannot seem to record one channel while watching another. It keeps coming up with the message "Media Center is currently recording X do you want to stop recording and change channel?" - I want to change channel and KEEP recording going, why not do what I bloody well want and look for the other second tuner!!!) Why oh why doesn't Media Center use both the TV Tuners to its full potential?? I thought Media Center 2005 could utilize both tuners so I could watch one channel while recording another regardless of what type of tuner they are.
I want to record and log phone conversations on to my hard drive using software only if possible.When I was using a modem I used a programe called Modem Spy, this will not work with Broadband/ADSL and so on and I no longer have modem fitted.I have tried a search on Google with limited results.Could anyone recomend or name a few products or their websites remembering that most work only with modems, I have ADSL

View 4 Replies View RelatedI use COMPUPIC imaging software which allows me to create a slide show where I can change the order of the individual JPEG files in a directory. I can then copy these files into a new directory from within COMPUPIC and it retains the new ordering, not the original alphabetic ordering. So far everything is great. However when I then try to copy these files to a CD they are reordered alphabeticaly. I'm using Windows XP and Roxia CD Creator 5 Basic. This is a problem since I would like to use the reordered file on my CD player to create a slide show in the order I specified in my Compupic imaging software.

I have tried to uninstall and then reinstall the drive but to no avail.

View 2 Replies View Relatedmy PC has 2 disks it was setup with a boot manager on disk1 disk1 has linux. disk2 is my Win XP disk. my question is can I safely write a boot block on disk2 and not loose data like the XP CD warns you about? I'm not using Linux on disk1 anymore, but I need the boot manager to boot XP on disk2. so the question is how safe is it to use the XP CD and fix/create a boot record on disk2? Are there any issues? I can be moving the mouse across the page, for example, when it will start responding erratically or stop. As this is happening the hd light blinks even though nothing is being saved or opened. I have disabled indexing, run virus checks and adware and spyware removal tools. I do have a wireless router attached but i haven't checked to see if it happens with my laptop also.

How do I keep this clarity at 640x480 but make everything fit the screen?I've tried different resolutions but nothing works as clear as the above.

Now when I boot up the green power light consistently flashes while the hard drive light just stays on; nothing shows up on the monitor either. I need major help....!!! It will not accept choosing Run in Safe Mode. It is not possible to get into BIOS. I have two questions:1.Can I start the pc with a floppy boot disk?2.Is there anything I can do APART from restore XP, as I haven't backed up all my files.I do have Norton but was in the process of getting the latest update. "Another application is recording audio. Stop recording with this other application and then try to record with Sound Recorder again." I have turned off all of the start up programs, restarted my computer, and even uninstalled TotalRecorder, which I thought was causing the problem.
I have tried to use Audio Audicity to record as well, but I get an error message there also, so something is really screwing everything up for me.
I connected a 10GB HDD with Windows 2000 on it to a Windows XP machine using a USB 2.0 external drive enclosure. Apparently, I connected the HDD enclosure to a USB 1.1 port and XP advised me I could get better performance by connecting it to a USB 2.0 port.After some time, XP reported an error indicating it couldn't save E:$Mft (E: is the drive letter assigned to the external enclosure) due to a lazy write problem.I disconnected the external drive enclosure from the system and put it back in the laptop and when I boot the machine, it displays the "starting windows" screen, the progress bar goes to the end, and the machine reboots itself.

I tried with all the usb ports on this computer and problem is the same. Even by hooking up a usb keyboard or mouse, computer wont get to the login screen. it keeps on restarting. It wont even go into 'safe mode'.Anyone have any clue whats going on and the solution to fix it?
