hey guys i got this new mic and i put in in my pc and the record sound is really low, i have to bascially yell into the mic, but when i had the mic on my sister's computer it's recording was perfect. i checked the volume settings and everything is up high and i still have to yell into it.
My question is how to record sound and hear it from the computer speakers in the same time. When I record sound I see the green display viberating but how can I hear the sound in the same time?
"Another application is recording audio. Stop recording with this other application and then try to record with Sound Recorder again." I have turned off all of the start up programs, restarted my computer, and even uninstalled TotalRecorder, which I thought was causing the problem.
I have tried to use Audio Audicity to record as well, but I get an error message there also, so something is really screwing everything up for me.
After a while my sound will cut out and when I try to play things in Winamp or anything it will stay stuck @ 0:00The sounds will sputter for a second and then freeze. Also when the sound dies, sometimes programs will start to freeze up to the point I can't even kill them in tskmgr. System sounds don't play either.I've tried updating to the latest drivers. I tried an older version of the drivers too.
Is there a way of recording the activity on your screen. Rather than Print Screen which is a still screen shot.Say you are on an interactive program or on the internet and you want to record it so that later you can go over it to recap.Or you want to record certain steps to take, to show someone else?
AM USING VOIP FOR MAKING CALLS, HOW CAN I RECORD MY CONVERSATION AUTOMATICALLY WHEN CONVERSATION STARTS WITH OUT CLICKING ANY BUTTON?WINDOWS HAVE ANY FACILITY TO DO THAT? OR ANY SOFTWARE?
Control Panel Sounds and Audio Devices has a tab for setting playback performance but does not have a tab for recording performance.I have two 24-bit, 96 KHz USB 2.0 sound cards on my system and I would like to set the default recording rate high. The external sound cards are the Sound blaster Audigy 2 NX and the Phillips Aurilium PSC 805/17.
When I try to use Record Now, to record to a cd, I get error: Your recording device does not support writing to CD. What can I do to correct this.I have deleted record now and reinstalled it,but that didn't do any good.
In the days of Windows 3.1, I had a program called In Control. Before installing a program, I would start InControl and it would then monitor and record every change to the system made by the installation, every line added to WINDOWS.INI, SYSTEM.INI, every file added or modified and even recorded changes in file time stamps and versions for DLLs etc.Is there anything that thorough for Windows 2000/XP. I want to be able to examine such a record that would not only record file version changes and files added or modified but also every line added, deleted or changed in the Windows Registry. Is there such a utility that really gets it all, down to the last detail?
The problem is that the computer all of a sudden restarts for, according to me, no reason. It allways happen when I use Cubase (recording program) so that should contribute to that the computer restarts but it's not that the computer gets slow or anything because everything works and then all of a sudden it restarts and I lose all my work(if I don't remember to save).
My first thought was that the computer gets overheated or something but it doesn't seems to be that way either since the computer restarts and not turns off, if you see what I mean. Of previous experience I know that the computer usually turns off when it get's overheated (to cool down) and then after a while you can start it again, but the weird part this time is that it restarts directly.
My new rig recently had a Hauppage WinTV PVR-150MCE analogue TV Tuner attached. Following advice from this forum I was told that I could add any other TV Tuner in addition to what I currently had - it was impossible to add another identical PCI tuner because I am out of slots in my motherboard. So I got the Hauppage WinTV Nova-T DVB USB2.0 Stick - it fits in the USB port, provides me with DVB TV and doesnt have an excess unwanted remote control as I already have an MCE remote that came with the PVR-150MCE.
Now in MCE 2005 I cannot seem to record one channel while watching another. It keeps coming up with the message "Media Center is currently recording X do you want to stop recording and change channel?" - I want to change channel and KEEP recording going, why not do what I bloody well want and look for the other second tuner!!!) Why oh why doesn't Media Center use both the TV Tuners to its full potential?? I thought Media Center 2005 could utilize both tuners so I could watch one channel while recording another regardless of what type of tuner they are.
I want to record and log phone conversations on to my hard drive using software only if possible. When I was using a modem I used a programe called Modem Spy, this will not work with Broadband/ADSL and so on and I no longer have modem fitted.I have tried a search on Google with limited results.Could anyone recomend or name a few products or their websites remembering that most work only with modems, I have ADSL
All my sounds work fine but when I set a sound to play for my system like recycle or minimize, the sound doesn't play. I'm using XP and my computer Sony viao is not even 2 years old yet.
I have XP Home with an Avance AC 97 sound card, probably the cheapest one made. The sound is horribly screechy and distorted on the high end of the spectrum. So I am thinking I might buy a better sound card. I have seen a lot on the Internet that are XP compatible at different prices. Is anyone able to advise on a good, resonably priced card that produces great sound? Also, am I correct in assuming that my present card is a free-standing unit and not part of the motherboard, so that I would be able to remove it and install a new one.
I have a p4p800-e mobo with realtek ac'97 sound card onboard. A few weeks ago the sound stopped working. I checked the device manager everything looks normal. I tried restoring my computer without success. I reinstalled drivers which did bring my sound back when I restarted but only for a short time (1 min). What can I do to fix this problem?
I recently formated my hard drive and reinstalled XP operating system. I no longer have sound on my computer. When I go to control panel- sounds it says no driver found. I have a Unimodem Half Duplex Audio Device. I tried reinstalling the driver from the cd and the control panel still shows no driver installed. One time I tried using the resource cd and the sounds worked in both speakers.
I am running windows XP- home edition, I would liketo change my audio log in and log out music, I have some good wav files to put in there, also inquicken Deluxe 2005. I was able to change my audio in Windows ME and Quicken Deluxe 2004 but I do not see a way here
Right i had a fried hard drive so i took it to a local store and got them to put a new one on and load windows, great. Problem is i have no sound, for whatever reason windowns xp hasn't found it. Is there a universal driver or something i can install?
An error unmountable_boot_drive or something so i reinstalled xp and everything was fine except that i have no sound its like i never had a sound card. My speakers are all installed correctly i just don't know what to do i really need sound i am already mad that i lost 1000+ songs.
Recently i had my computer wiped and now i have no sound i go to my drivers and i have ATI Function Driver for high definition Audio but it doesn't work at all because i have no sound i never had this until after the wipe i was using realtek AC'97. I have tried to get it back but when i downloaded it i got the error 10.I have a Windows XP Media Center Edition.Version 2002 Service pack 3.
I've had a few problems with my eisystem 5032 (advent), XP home edition, SP3, Intel 4.It, I think has started to overheat, I don't think the fan is working properly - sounds ok on start up but then when it crashes the fan doesn't seem to be making much noise. Also I've had a few microsoft popups saying virtual memory nearly full, What is the virtual memory? In performance options it says 756mb? How do I sort it out?
I've been unable to get any of the system sounds (the startup and shut down chords, the classic Windows "ding", and soforth) to, well, sound (either when the should normally occur, or via the Control Panel). They will still play via Media Player, as will any other audio file. In addition, I'm not getting any sound on Flash media of any type.
I've tried a few solutions to this problem suggested on other forums: * Uninstalling and reinstalling my sound card driver. * Using a program called K-Lite to try and fix problems with the system sound. * Trying a number of the registry edits at Kelly's Korner. ( http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/top10faqs.htm ) * Resetting the QuickTime options for the music synthesiser from QuickTime's own to the "General MIDI" * Repairing and reinstalling Windows.
I am running a windows XP system. The other day I was uninstalling a piece of software that I had downloaded and wasn't paying attention as I clicked through the prompts and inadvertantly uninstalled it and the sounds for my computer. Is there a way to reverse my blunder and return this computer to its beeping and whirring glory. The computer is my landlords and he is being very restrained in his reaction to my inattentiveness.
Yesterday while surfing on my mother's laptop all of a sudden it just froze. I just turned it off because after hitting control/alt/delete nothing happened. I was stuck. Then I restarted the laptop - the windows logo came on along with sound and then it went to a black screen with just a blinking cursor at the upper top left. It will not take me to her desktop.
my computer has given me this problem in the past- and it righted itself. Not this time. I have a SoundMax onboard soundcard on a Gateway desktop, and according to device manager, everything is working fine, but no sound could come from the speakers. So I decided, maybe it is a hardware thing- I happen to have another Creative sound card here, lets try it. It worked! Yay! Then I restart, and then it stoped working too!I have two sound cards, one onboard, one PCI, both appear to be in total working order according to XP, and neither emit any sound after I restart the machine so I am assuming this is a registry issue or something windows related.
