it possible to trace the keys of the keyboard or trace the screens. I have to show the steps for some installation . The only way I know is to se Print screen button and paste that on the Word document, but that is time consuming. I am wondering if this is possible somehow with some kind of trace on ?
View 2 RepliesI'm tired of my Logitech keyboard which always turns off the standard "F" keys and defaults to proprietary functions. I've already tried the "pass through" option, but it doesn't work in all cases so what would you recommend? Does anyone make a multimedia keyboard like the Logitech Navigator that has standard F-keys? I want a wired keyboard with a standard PS2 plug so I can get into my BIOS settings when necessary.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm wondering about something thats been bugging me for a bit? What are the extra keys on the keyboard for, or more to the point how does one configure them. The KB I use right now only has three extra keys, a sun, a moon, and another(?) I think for power, or stand bye?? But my sisters KB has mega, hers is a MSN 'netboard'. Is there somewhere I can learn how to utilize the extra keys. When I press any of them now they don't do anything?? Help is appreciated, but this is not a pressing,(pretty punny eh), matter, so please help those who really have a problem first! This is just something I have always wanted to know?? I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one?? View 4 Replies View RelatedI was in the middle of typing and suddenly none of the keys work properly. Most of them won't type anything and the rest are jumbled. "c" will print "-", n will be 7, ";" will be the "page up" key etc. I've reinstalled the keyboard drivers but no success. language/region settings are US as always. no idea why it's suddenly scrambled. keyboard is microsoft wireless multimedia keyboard 1.0A. batteries are fine. XP system. Please help. this is really causing a ton of trouble. I'm using software kboard to type this.

I inadvertantly switched on sticky keys. I have since switched it off but my backspace, arrow keys and Fn keys no longer work.

View 11 Replies View RelatedOn my PC, I have C: and F: as my hard drives - and the F: is used for all of my music storage - there are 3 main folders on this hard drive. All of my music is stored in artist alphabetical order. The capacity of the hard drive is 80 gig (76.3) - whilst going into my music folder, all of the artists from A to G are listed, but beyond that - they have dissapeared! The hard drive has got 75.3 gig used, thus the files are still there. I have checked that the hidden files tab is on, and the files are still not showing - however say I do a search for an artist on the F: ie Pulp, no files found matching that name

I have tried usb, ps2 everything. The keyboard works on bootup, so I can get into bios etc... but when it gets to the windows screen, nothing. No mouse or keyboard. Safe mode is the same thing. Dont want to format and reinstall windows. On that note, I did try a repair, when it asks for admin password it wont accept it. Says invalid admin password.. I even have it booting from the DVD drive so I can load Win XP.However, when I get to the Windows Setup and it asks me if I want to setup windows(press enter), Repair(some other key), quit(F3) my keyboard won't work. I hit "Enter" because I want to install XP and nothing happens. It is not responding to my keyboard strokes.
This is strange because the keyboard works in the BIOS.

Even once it is up it is slow and constantly making churning noise. The hardware test reports that all the hardware is functioning with not failures. I came to know about Bootvis which helps debug and detect issues that occur during the startup. When i ran the utilitiy it is complaining about "Number of Physical drives in the trave file is 0" when i am trying to analyze the bootvis trace file.
