Paint File Disappeared - All Programs / Accessories
Sep 28, 2008My Paint file disappeared. It use to be listed under ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES but now it is nowhere to be found. It is useful to construct attachments. Can someone help me find it and place it in the START menu again.

May 10, 2006I cannot get to System Restore from Start > Programs > Accessories .No Accessories folder in Program Files folder. Search for System restore shows a shortcut to it and when clicked gets me to C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersStart MenuProgramsAccessories.I haven't changed any settings on my PC. Windows Update got downloaded automatically yesterday.I tried to do system restore to an earlier date but it was unsuccessful. I'm the only user so I boot straight into my account and I'm the only one using my PC.

( they are still installed ) but they are missing from the all programs menu )? + i have just tried to use the caculator and its missing from the accessories menu. i went to add accessories but it doesnt show the icon in the start menu .. i can type in calc.exe in RUN and the caculator pops up . but i would like to have the icon to click on. KNow what i mean.

Dec 24, 2005Using XP Pro - go to start, programs, accessories, entertainment, sound recorder. I have used this sound recorder to record a message that I wish to email to a few people. After recording the message, I save it to my desktop. I then go to my email account and attach the file that I have saved to my desktop. The problem seems to be that what I am attaching is actually the address to my desktop and not the actual recording I am trying to send. In other words, what I am sending directs to "C:Documents and SettingsDavidDesktop". Anyway, I would really like to solve this problem and send the recording that I have been trying to do. Jan 27, 2008For whatever reason Notepad has started freezing whenever I try to save a document. This is incredible annoying as it's my favorite note writing program. Wordpad scrambles anything thats pasted into it. Control panel/add remove programs/Windows components doesn'twork. As Notepad is not listed in the accessories folder, even though it appears that way in program files/accessories. So, how can I fix this?

Edit the hidden system file SYSOC.INF in the Windows/Inf folder.2. Delete all instances of the word HIDE. Don't put any spaces in between the commas.3. Save your changes.4. Open Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel.5. Click on Add/Remove Windows Components. You will now see options for Accessories and Utilities, MSN Explorer and several other components.6. Un check the tick box to remove that component or check it to install it from your XP CD.Be careful what components you remove though.

Jan 6, 2005Aside from Paint lagging, the rest of my computer is kinda slow lately, and there are a bunch of SVCHOST.exe's that seem to be running when i look at the task manager. I killed the one that was taking up the most memory usage and the computer was slightly better... in Paint, I could actually use the Pencil tool without lagging, but the scrolling and paintbucket was laggy still.

Jul 3, 2009I key ctrl/alt/and prtscn to cache screen shots. I can no longer save to Paint. The pencil icon is on first instead of the select. It will not show the paste button on the drop down menu only the select all.
I can use paint using my scanner but not screen shots which I use all the time.
