On Running Maplestory - KERNEL32.dll Error
May 9, 2007Whenever i try to run this program (Maplestory) i get this protection error, looks like this:

KERNEL32.dll - On Running Any Program Other Than IE
Dec 2, 2006Alright, I'm having a major problem running Windows XP. Whenever I try to run any program other than IE I get the error message:
"The procedure entry point CreateDirEctoryW could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll"
Now I'm no genius, but I think something has gone horribly wrong... is there any solution?
Error On Explorer Right Click - Kernel32.dll
Dec 2, 2008In Win-Explorer, whenever I right-click on a file or folder, then I get a dread message that "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close"; the error points to kernel32.dll and eventually a similar message comes up regarding Dr.Watson.
Q. Is there any way other than a re-install of WinXP to re-enable the right click function?
Q. Is there some utility that I might run to restore the capability that I had or perhaps to UNinstall something that I could possibly put back?
Since I'd don't right click very often, am not sure but believe that the problem may have resulted from the installation of Nero8Ultra.
Kernel32.dll And Ntdll.dll Errors.
Jun 25, 2005When I right click almost anything I get the explorer has encountered a problem and has to close. always the faulting module kernel32.dll. Then immediately another box appears with the drwatson postmortem debugger has encountered a problem and needs to close, I then have to ctrl alt del to close the drwtsn.exe and get my desktop back.
I have been having problems in psp7 with ntdll being the faulting module.
I run the bare minimum start up programs and have ran all virus and spyware scans. I have googled this problem until.
Im running windows xp pro sp2. AMD 2400
Have loads of disk space and plenty of free RAM.LV.
On Starting Any New Software - Kernel32.DLL:
Feb 6, 2006Every tme I am starting any new software on my windows 98 SE, I get an odd message error with black exclamation on yellow trian gle background: "Plik SWISHMAX.EXE jest polączony z brakującym eksportem KERNEL32.DLL:RestoreLAstError." And in English: "The file SWISHMAX.exe {the name of program} is connected to lost export KERNEL32.DLL:RestoreLastError".
Then I click ok, and there appearsnew error message: The device can't work.

Apr 2, 2005I've been getting a lot of trouble with my computer lately; specifically, the desktop will disappear and show nothing but my background, then reappear, but some things in the taskbar tray will be gone, including Norton. Some programs reappear, but Norton never does until I restart. First off, is this Explorer crashing?

i've tried system recovery, system restore, deleteing the stupid thing and downloading it, i've tried deteling anything that might have ANYTHING to do with the program.i also tried to download KERNEL32.dll from somewhere to replace the one in my WINDOWS/SYSTEM file but they wont let me.

Missing Functions Of Kernel32.dll
Oct 5, 2007many times when im using some ones pc or using mine, there is always missing functions from dll files, mainly the kernel32.dll
and the missing one i care about is ThunkConnect32, used for audio
so can i either learn how add functions to the kernel32 or is there a kernel32 with all functions??

Kernel32.dll Message On Startup - Virus?
Apr 11, 2006Each time i start up my Windows 2000 proffesional pc, I get an error message "kernel32.dll" just in a grey box and no options or anything. I had a problem withmy pc a while ago, had it wiped, and the other day i went on, it came up, i wasnt sure what it was so i just closed it :s, then i did my weekly virus scan, however mcafee doesnt work, also the internet is unbelieveably slow and often just says this page is unavailable. Msn messenger still works fine though?

Jun 14, 2007After installing xp home updates yesterday, my machine rebooted itself, then continued to reboot (xp would start to load then my pc would reset itself and start booting again)
Booting windows with the "dont automatically restart system on failure" option revealed I had a corrupt kernel32.dll, which was fixed by using recovery console to copy the file over again.
Once this is done, xp will boot. Then it tells me to update.

So im like. meh forget it ill just reformat. It starts the setup and what not and says. if you want to install windows xp press enter. or repair press r ok i press enter. Then it says that it cant find my hardrive. but all my files are there. i replaced the IDE cable and made sure my drive was set to master and was plugged in right. Apr 12, 2008I have been trying to fix an issue with a friends computer. Problem is I'm not very computer savvy :S So that's where you all come in :P I do have some knowledge of computer's and usually catch on pretty quickly. Basically I have been noticing my friends comp has become increasingly slow over the last week I have scanned with AVG and found a change in the following:
Shell32.dll, kernel32.dll, hosts, user32.dll, ntoskrnl.dll
I have tried searching for the shell32.dll and found it only to be in the C:/windows/system32 folder as someone recommended in another post I had read on here..Those are the only items showing in a complete scan of the system so I have no idea what is causing this..Also she has been noticing an increased amount of pop ups even when explorer is not running? I believe they are CID or CDI pop ups.

Nov 19, 2008I am trying to install Service Pack 3 on a friend's laptop that is running XP Pro. It has SP2 installed on it. The error I get is: c:/windows/system32/ftp.exe is open or another application using it (or something like that). I ran the task manager and could not locate any running process or application that is obvious using ftp.exe.I did find the file in the system32 folder...but that's it. I have considered renaming ftp.exe something else temporarily but it says I don't have authority to do so or that is maybe already running. I am running another virus scan on it now. The computer has AVG 8.0 on it for anti-virus. I have run lavasoft's adaware too. I have also tried to install this in safe mode, but that didn't work either.

Blue Screen Error On Running Catalyst 5.4
Apr 9, 2005Last known stable drivers for ATI are Catalyst 5.2. which I use right now. I installed Catalyst 5.4 and I get blue screen with STOP message at the far end of installation procedure. I uninstalled previous drivers of course. Then I tryed again end same thing happens. After that I can see that all graphics are normal in games, exepct there is no sound at all, computer is REALY slow working in win xp and there are no optical drives in my computer menu-dissappered?!? After that I uninstalled 5.4 and installed 5.2 back again. Same thing but worse happened with 5.3 version. I updated BIOS, apertur size is default 64Mb (my graphic card is 9600xt 128Mb), fast writes are off, as same as caching and shadowing are off too. I've got Audigy LS and S-ATA 160Gb.

Jun 26, 2005Recently when my computer boots, chkdsk starts running automatically. Thats ok. It does step 1 0f 3, great, does 2 of 3, however when it is doing step 3 of 3 its freezes at some percent over 50% and gives the following error:

NOw everytime i reeboot my computer chkdsk runs and the same error occurs. I need chksdsk to complete its check because i dont want chkdsk to run at the beggining of every reboot it takes to long.
