Then immediately another box appears with the drwatson postmortem debugger has encountered a problem and needs to close, I then have to ctrl alt del to close the drwtsn.exe and get my desktop back.
I have been having problems in psp7 with ntdll being the faulting module.
I run the bare minimum start up programs and have ran all virus and spyware scans. I have googled this problem until.
Im running windows xp pro sp2. AMD 2400
Have loads of disk space and plenty of free RAM.LV.
Every tme I am starting any new software on my windows 98 SE, I get an odd message error with black exclamation on yellow trian gle background: "Plik SWISHMAX.EXE jest polączony z brakującym eksportem KERNEL32.DLL:RestoreLAstError." And in English: "The file SWISHMAX.exe {the name of program} is connected to lost export KERNEL32.DLL:RestoreLastError".
Then I click ok, and there appearsnew error message: The device can't work.
I've been getting a lot of trouble with my computer lately; specifically, the desktop will disappear and show nothing but my background, then reappear, but some things in the taskbar tray will be gone, including Norton. Alright, I'm having a major problem running Windows XP. Whenever I try to run any program other than IE I get the error message:
"The procedure entry point CreateDirEctoryW could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll"
Now I'm no genius, but I think something has gone horribly wrong... is there any solution?

many times when im using some ones pc or using mine, there is always missing functions from dll files, mainly the kernel32.dll
and the missing one i care about is ThunkConnect32, used for audio
so can i either learn how add functions to the kernel32 or is there a kernel32 with all functions??

Both IE7 and Outlook crash when viewing certain websites. Both come up with a

In Win-Explorer, whenever I right-click on a file or folder, then I get a dread message that "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close"; the error points to kernel32.dll and eventually a similar message comes up regarding Dr.Watson.
Q. Is there any way other than a re-install of WinXP to re-enable the right click function?
Q. Is there some utility that I might run to restore the capability that I had or perhaps to UNinstall something that I could possibly put back?
Since I'd don't right click very often, am not sure but believe that the problem may have resulted from the installation of Nero8Ultra.
Each time i start up my Windows 2000 proffesional pc, I get an error message "kernel32.dll" just in a grey box and no options or anything. I had a problem withmy pc a while ago, had it wiped, and the other day i went on, it came up, i wasnt sure what it was so i just closed it :s, then i did my weekly virus scan, however mcafee doesnt work, also the internet is unbelieveably slow and often just says this page is unavailable. View 14 Replies View RelatedAfter installing xp home updates yesterday, my machine rebooted itself, then continued to reboot (xp would start to load then my pc would reset itself and start booting again)
Booting windows with the "dont automatically restart system on failure" option revealed I had a corrupt kernel32.dll, which was fixed by using recovery console to copy the file over again.
Once this is done, xp will boot. Then it tells me to update.
how can i terminate this error??because of this error i am unable to install TweakUI.

I play an online game and have played for 3 years. recently i havnt played because im getting a kernel32.exe failure. Well wow that really sucks. So im like. meh forget it ill just reformat. It starts the setup and what not and says. if you want to install windows xp press enter. or repair press r ok i press enter. Then it says that it cant find my hardrive. but all my files are there. i replaced the IDE cable and made sure my drive was set to master and was plugged in right. Nothing.i checked bios. so i get a new hard drive. my commputer gets a ndlr error on boot up.

I have been trying to fix an issue with a friends computer. Problem is I'm not very computer savvy :S So that's where you all come in :P I do have some knowledge of computer's and usually catch on pretty quickly. Basically I have been noticing my friends comp has become increasingly slow over the last week I have scanned with AVG and found a change in the following:

I have tried searching for the shell32.dll and found it only to be in the C:/windows/system32 folder as someone recommended in another post I had read on here..Those are the only items showing in a complete scan of the system so I have no idea what is causing this..Also she has been noticing an increased amount of pop ups even when explorer is not running? I believe they are CID or CDI pop ups.

Well I have never had 1 single problem with my computer until now. I decided to check for windows updates since I haven't done so in awhile. When I did, windows prompted me to install SP3 for XP. Everything ran smooth upon installation, so I restarted the computer as it suggested. Now, windows will not boot and it blue screens to "windows fatal error".

I ran a whole slew of antivirus stuff and killed off a bunch of nasty buggers, but the message didn't go away.I went to Display Properties and there were only two tabs, Screen Savers, and Settings. It was missing the Appearance, Themes, and Desktop tabs. So I went on here and found something about changing the registry files from 1 to 0 in a couple places. Well I got the tabs back, but I still cannot change my desktop background. It's all greyed out. My computer is functioning fine now and is armed to the teeth against new stuff, but it still has that annoying BSOD look-a-like.

Just as the s/w begins to install I get a fatal error - (something like) "Unable to create a file that already exists ... C:Progam FilesCommon FilesInstallshieldengine6Intel 32iuser.dll" Since I was able to install the s/w on a friend's similar PC I think the problem is a compatability or bug with XP and/or the Installshield appln on my machine.
I followed some suggestions (from the Installshield support site) and cleaned up my temp file, deleted the 'Engine 6' folder and reinstalled the Installshield 'ikernal.exe' but this hasn't helped. Surprisingly when I tried to reinstall the 'ikernal' it also runs into exactly the same error! - so there is some issue with how the Installshield (Engine 6) is working on my PC.

They decided to unistall photomanger and it starts uninstall them says fatal error. I got a win 16 subsystem error when trying to reinst printer software. I downloaded the printer driver. When istalling it prepares the install wizard and copies the needed files, then it stops installation and closes, no error message.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently built a new computer and it has been just an incredible load of troubles ever since the first boot up. I first installed Windows 2000 so I can actually boot up my computer then upgraded to Windows XP SP2. After this I had a messload of trouble getting errors during the XP installation which I believe were various fonts. Skipping over this the installation was successful and I was enjoying Windows XP. Now I did the automatic updates that is recommanded and let then download and install. Once they installed and the system rebooted, I never got to enjoy my computer.
After the restart the computer would hang where the log in screen should be then restart and do this over and over again. I thought this was an installation problem so I reinstalled 2000 so I could just reformat and fix the problem. Now my computer is rejecting every time I try to reformat and reinstall 2000 giving me various blue screen fatal errors and errors during the Windows 2000 setup preventing the installation from going any further..............
