"iexplore.exe- Application Error" Pop-up Comes Out Frequently When I Close IE
Jun 5, 2008
Usually, when I close IE, this pop-up comes up,
__________________________________________________________________________
iexplore.exe- Application Error
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The instruction at "0x2753a7d0" referenced memory at "0x2753a7d0". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
__________________________________________________________________________
The "0x2753a7d0" is different sometimes.
How do I fix it? It's been popping up for the past 3 or so months and it's bugging me out.

I just noticed this problem, but I'm not sure how long it's been going on because I seldom use IE. When I start IE the process iexplore.exe starts up, which is normal, but when I close IE, iexplore.exe keeps running, which is not normal. If I start IE again it will start another iexplore.exe, so I can have several running and the only way to stop them is to kill them with task manager. Now another thing I have happening which is even weirder is I'll start IE, then kill iexplore.exe and IE keeps running like normal. I've run all the anti-virus and anti-spyware stuff I can think of and everything comes up clean. I'm current with all Windows updates?

I have Windows XP pro on a Dell Inspiron 1150. I've had it for about a year now.My problem is that my computer crashes: it just turns off. At first I thought it was just overheating or I was running too many programs at once, but lately it will happen when I'm only running one program, and I've just restarted it.
It crashed approximately ten times yesterday. The problem first showed up about six months ago, but it would only crash once maybe twice (right after each other) and only about once every two weeks. It's started getting really bad in the past month or so.Now what I think the problem might be is. well. I pull up the task manager (ctrl+alt+del) and there's always at least 45 or 50 processes running. I think this is what's causing the problem but I'm not sure.I talked to my father about it, and he thinks this might be the problem, he mentioned a "boot menu" where I can stop them from automatically running when my computer starts. But I don't know where that is, or if this really is the problem.

The instruction at "0x1001cbf1" referenced memory at "0x1001cbf1". The memory could not be "read". Click on ok to terminate the program.I got the above error message twice in the past two days after closing a site (I don't know what). I simply clicked on it and it disappeared. I have Windows XP Home Edition SP2, Internet Explorer 6. This is a Dell Dimension P4 model 4550. I recently removed some registry keys, files & folders for some old McAfee & Norton antivirus programs because I was getting antivirus error messages.I typed IEXPLORE.EXE in the "RUN" box, clicked ok and my ISP popped up on the screen. Should I be concerned? Is this a virus or malware? Tell me how to remove this problem.

When I turn my pc and windows loads up an error message appears saying that windows service pack 2 setup has encountered an error and has to close. However when I close the error message it keeps popping up every 20 seconds or so. When I went to microsofts website that told me that service pack 2 was installed on my pc. I have ran a full viral scan using the latest version of Panda and have also ran Reg-cure to see if the problem was in the registry but the error message still keeps popping up.

I have windows xp. I was running internet explorer 7 with no problems until I installed Norton 360, then all I get when loading IE is a message that Internet Explorer needs to shut down, "do I want to send error " When I click either send or do not send, Internet Explorer shuts down. I assume I have to do something in Norton to allow IE, but can not find any thing.

The other day i tried to install a game. When I tried to open it, it told me it couldn't find d3d9.dll. When I put d3d9.dll into the right folder, it said: The procedure entry point DdEntry12 could not be located in the dynamic link library DDRAW.dll. So I thought it was a problem with the game. When I installed another game, the same thing happened. After some internet research, I found that this was a DirectX problem and that what I needed to do was update it. So I downloaded the new version and installed it but the same thing happened. Later, I downloaded an app that required Flash Player. It told me I had version 6 when I needed at least version 9. So I went to Adobe's website and downloaded and installed Flash Player 10.
But when I tried to open the app, it still said i had version 6! So I started to realize that the computer didn't recognize updates to software. So, I told myself, maybe if I update Windows, it'll work. So, I went to the Windows Update and it told me KB888162 (I think that's the one) was a critical update. So I clicked on Install and then, a window popped up telling me that Explorer.exe had encountered a problem and needed to close. This happened every time I try to update and even sometimes when I open Control Panel. (I have Windows XP, by the way).

Recently, I have come across a problem in the internet Explorer of my system. After I start Internet Explorer it does not cause any problem but when I close even one Internet Explorer window it asks me if I should send the error report. Even if I say, Send Report or Don't Send,it just closes down all my Internet Explorer opened windows.

Good morning, I have a couple of problems and I can't figure out how to get my computer back to where it used to be. I think it has something to do with updating windows. I get messages everytime I try to open a photo or a file. One message is Explorer EXE-Application Error, The instruction of ox600470a4 referenced memory at ox600470a4. The memory could not be written. Click on ok to terminate the program, click on cancel to debug the program. I clicked on debug and the program I got a message about Dr. Watson trying to communicate with ? and I clicked ok. Then the photo closed and all the icons disappeared and the reappeared. When I opened the same photo again, I got the following message. Data Execution Prevention-Microsoft Windows to help protect your computer, Windows has closed this program and also Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close, etc. Again the program shuts down. Basically, I can't open anything without the error messages. I can't copy cd's either as I have in the past with Nero. The program starts and then I get a read message or the cd just will not copy. Is there a way that I can do a restore and have my computer back to where it was 3 weeks ago? I could do that with my old computer Windows 98se. I have a HP Media M7060n now and I have XP home edition. Up to now I have had no problems. This computer is very different from my old one and I have no clue how I would do a restore. I just want a restore from 3 weeks ago, not a complete restore. I think the problem has to do with a windows update. I think I did one just before these problems occured. I lost my virus protection and had to reinstall it. I thought maybe that was the problem so I uninstalled it, but that wasn't it. So..here I am very frustrated. I know this post is long and I apologize. Thank you~Liz

for quite awhile now both my computers but they seem to work pretty good although alittle slow. but when you go to shut them down, both of them a box comes up and says ending program where you can wait for it to end the program or you can click on end now. well it doesn't matter which you do most of the time the computer won't shut down. it just keeps going back to the end program box. It is always this program--iexplore.exe always that one. One time I looked into the task manager and it had like 5 or 6 of the iexplore.exe in the application part. anyway it is getting quite annoying. I ran asquared when this was happening and it caught what it said was a trojan (didn't write it down) I deleted it and it seemed to work for awhile. But now it is back to the same ole thing. Can someone enlighten me on what might be wrong? It is on both of my computers.

I am running XP,SP3.I have Kaspersky anitvirus, PC Tools spyware doctor, Lavasoft Ad-aware (free), spybot search and destroy (free). Recently I had my computer wiped clean, so I have had all the updates from Microsoft. I am now experiencing a problem with my Internet Explorer. It will open, either from the start menu or the launch. However, if I close IE, it will not re-open. Then when I shut down or log off, I receive numerous pop ups that "iexplore.exe is not responding.click end now. The # of pop-ups I receive usually correspond to the # of times I have attempted to get IE to re-open OR during my session of surfing, how many links I may go out to. I started looking at my task manager, and I am finding 3-4 iexplore.exe running! I have already run all my scans, including in safe mode. Nothing has helped. I am getting ready to purchase XoftSpySE after researching real time protection.I have done some research and have seen that others are experiencing the same problem I am having but have already done everything suggested that I have found so far. There is nothing on Microsofts website on this.
