Ati2dvag Driver Stopped Working Blue Screen Appears

im new I have a Toshiba Equium EA60-173 PSA67E-00700C8J.Im having often reoccuring problems almost as soon as i reboot my laptop freezes and a blue screen appears saying the ati2davg display driver is stuck in an infinate loop. and my laptop has to be rebooted, also it freezes and changes to the lowest display settings and a window appears saying the display driver it has stopped working properly. I need advise on how to sort this as its very annoying, my laptop also over heats, gets very hot and just turns itself off. the fan constantly runs.
I have an Asus W3H00V (which came with the Mobility Radeon X600) that I use for word processing, internet, and watching videos, though never really use it for gaming. After about a couple of months of use, my laptop suddenly always hangs with a blue screen popping up saying that there's an infinite loop problem that's caused by the file ati2dvag.dll, especially when watching videos. I've tried uninstalling and installing Windows XP (w/ sp2) four times and also uninstalling and installing the ATI drivers that came with my computer numerous times but nothing seems to work. I can't get any work done on my computer because an error window also always pop up and hangs my computer very frequently. I've tried searching for solutions in the internet but none seems to work.
i get this error when i tried to open up my computer, first the windows xp loading screen works fine, then after that the screen just goes black and stays like that forever. this happened when i tried to uninstall a USB Bluetooth driver and it was requested to restart my pc so i did, and after that restart i cant get in no more, the screen just goes black after the windows xp load screen. im wondering how can i fix this problem? please help me guys... thank you.. and o yeah one more thing.. when i tried it on safe mode it went to the welcome screen but after that when i try to move my cursor i didnt move at all then i restart my pc again and the whole thing happens once more
First i tried to boot from disk and then it told me that i dont even have a hard drive installed. I fixed this problem by pressing F6 when my windows cd was booting up and now it loads some RAID drivers off from a floppy disk i made up so that the HDD is there.
Just as some other posts have mentioned, i did not try the recovery console and went straight into setting up windows. When it asks me to choose a partition. I selected the one that i created when i built my computer (the one i have very valuable files on) and from there it gives me the "blue screen of death" or so my friend used to call it...the one that says the computer has been shut down to prevent damage to my computer.
Any ideas?
Also, with no other ideas i went into the recovery console... it asks something around "on what volume do you want to recover"...so i press the number 1 which is drive C then from there goes to the blue screen again.
Another thought i ran across is that the disk i am trying to use is a windows xp home and i set up my computer with xp pro....i seem to have lost the disk!!! Im hoping that's not the reason for the blue screen.
I have given my sister my old Averatec laptop that has Windows XP on it. While she is using it, eventually a blue screen appears, which is the precursor to it restarting suddenly. It happens so fast that we cannot read what the blue screen says. After it starts back up, we get a microsoft report saying a serious error has occured. This might not help, but I'll list it just in case. The error signature is:Is this a virus? If so, is there any hope without reformatting? I have got a HP Laptop that is about a year a half old, its top of the range. I had my laptop in Hibernate mode the other night and the next afternoon I went to turn it back on there was a blank screen for a long time, all the lights on the laptop were on but nothing on the screen. I turned the laptop off and then back on again. and BOOM! The blue screen of death!The computer starts up with the HP logo and then it pops up a screen saying that a previous attempt to start up had failed and it gave me options to start up in safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, start with the previous successfull start config, and normal start up. When i click ANY of these the windows logo pops up for about 3 seconds and then the blue screen, which appears for long enough for me to read 3 letters or numbers at a time. Then the computer restarts and we go through the whole process again. This is what I have done in the hope of fixing it.
I used my HP retore disks and it loaded disk 1 of 3 and it didnt ask for the other 2 disks which i thought was odd. But that made no differeance still the same start up process as explained above.The blue screen made mention of chkdsk and i read about some poeple on the net doing a chkdsk and it fixing similar problems. So i read that i needed a xp install disk to access the windows recovery console and type r. BUT i have a OEM installation so i have NO disks! So what i did was i got the XP Pro disk i have from a few years ago that i had on Desktop. BUT when it goes into recovery console it can not find any hard drives! #Ive tried spinrite and it reads all the hard drives in the computer so i know that they are still there. #I've tried to find some chkdsk bootable cd's but most are either floppy only or they only for FAT16/32 file systems, my file system is NTFS.I'am convinced from the research done that if I can run CHKDSK on the computer then it should fix the file error and then i can at least back up my data and then do a full format and start fresh again. But I have to be able to get this computer running.I just tried the "Last Known Good Configuration" selection and it says that the system32/config/SYSTEM file is missing.I would welcome any help, as I have exhausted all options that I can see available to me. From what I can see, the biggest problem is that im running a OEM version of windows. But then again the recovery console couldnt find the hard drives, so i dont know.
I was having some problems with windows xp media centre 2005 on my dell dimension 9150 so i decided to do a repair, i put in the xp cd and booted from it at start up, then the blue screen appears and the process starts, i then get the choice to install windows or repair using the recovery console, i chose install windows and then pressed r for repair on the os that was already there.It now has gone to the installation off the os where it installs the files and finalizes the process, it is getting to the third option where it installs devices but it is getting about three quarters of the way and then the driver box pops up saying that microsoft does not athorize the use of the driver would you like to continue but the thing is i cant, my mouse will not move on the screen so i am unable to click continue.

I have been experiencing intermittent bootup problems with Windows XP. When this happens, the XP splash screen appears(blue line scrolling) and then monitor loses signal and reboot occurs. This can cycle several times, even if I choose the option of starting Windows with last known configuration that worked. It always eventually loads and reports that Windows experienced a serious problem.
When i turn it on I get the 'Windows did not restart properly screen'and no matter which of the options I choose, i see the windows logo loading after a short time the blue screen apears for a split second and then its back to the first screen all over again.
iv gone into BIOS, i ran the HD self test, and both the short and long test fail before really even doing anything.
I am trying to fix a friends notebook but every time I turn on the computer it takes me to the safe mode selection and which ever mode I select, it starts loading but breaks out to the blue screen with the following error: 0x001902030x8e572b80xc00001020x00000000. I had this machine about a month ago and after checking the Hd and cleaning it I uninstalled Norton security and installed avira. I took it back to him and I thought everything was OK but he said he had put it in a closet for a couple of weeks and when he tried to turn it on it stopped on the Blue screen every time. I would run chkdsk /f if I could get to the CMD prompt but can never get past this error. 0x001902030x8e572b80xc00001020x00000000 Anyone have any advice for me. I don't have his XP disk but can probably get it if I need to.
This week my registry became corrupted and after fixing that had another blue screen problem the next day. I ran chkdsk in recovery console and the computer is working, but I get the following messages on start up: SymSPort.exe had to stop, and notification.dll failed to load properly. What do I need to do, is there a way to check for any other problems?
When ever I put my flash drive in USB port, my computer shuts down and a blue screen appears, and in that blue screen it says that for protection of computer will be shut down in so and so minute, but when I use the same drive at work I have no problem with the drive neither with computer, Is there anything wrong with my computer?

I have just installed a nvidia driver (84.21) to replace the version (77.77) I've successfully been running for several months now. Both are certified as compat with my 6800gt card. I seem to be able to instal it OK, files are copied across, the screen resets, the new driver is listed as installed uder the device manager and I get a message saying the new hardware has succesfully installed and I need to restart to finish installation.
When I do, i go through the usual boot through to the windows start up screen (with flag), then I get a blue secreen with "please wait....." after 5 secs the dots stop appearing, then within 30 secs the HD stops. The keyboard etc is frozen. I gave it 5 mins then reverted to last good config, and tried again deleting all previous nvidia drivers, but still get the same result. I also tried a different driver (83. something) and still the same. I had norton disabled during installation
I kept getting stop messages with a blue screen on my old hard drive and figured the drive had died (even tho it's only 8 months old). I got a new hard drive, put it in and now, I just got a blue screen with DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL error message. Uh-oh. What does this mean?? I booted up again and the error message didn't appear but I got these (which I think are new): IDUServ.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows and an identical one for iptray.exe. Before the IRQL error, btw, my modem (dial-up) wasn't working after I put in the new drive and I noticed exclamation points by my PCI devices on Device Manager--also, the USB controller thing had an exclamation point by it, although all my USB-run gadgets seem to run just fine. Does this mean my PCI slots aren't working and that's why my modem isn't working? I'm running Win2000. It's an Intel Pentium 4 631 3.00GHz HT EM64T XD, 800MHz, FSB, 2MB motherboard.

iam running windows xp....ive been having problems with my pc forever and i can never seem to work out if its bad ram or a memory issue. Anytime my pc is running for a long period of time it seems to hang and give me the blue screen, if i try to run a media program or burn a cd or anything along those lines it hangs also....What could this problem be? do i need to let someone look into my system or can it be resolved at all. Im using windows xp home. And when im running a dskchk it stops and doesnt complete to 100%. when it gets to stage 5 it gets to 56% and restarts and I recently had major issue with blue screens. the message i got was a device or driver caused it but windows doesnt know which one and today my pc shut down and it kept looping to the start up and i had to use recovery console to fix it but im not sure it did.
my friend loaded ABIT drivers for his motherboards ethernet port . after loading the driver he reset the computer and it loads til windows then turns blue and resets. his keyboard will not work so he cant load safe mode what should he do?
running on windows XP SP2 & the mouse would not work so i tried my mouse in the USB port and in the ps/2 port and it still did not work. When i checked in device manager everything looked ok but i could not access the mouse properties in the control panel also when i tried a spyware scan it kept crashing as soon as it found a infection.

Received a message "Windows Display Driver stopped responding....." after I closed the box, Microsoft asked if I wanted to send an error report, which I did, and immediately responded with a recommend fix/upgrade and the link to the website. My question is this. The graphics driver that it recommended upgrading (Intel 82915G or 82910GL) is not the same Intel graphics chipset that I have installed on the computer (82845G/GL).Which update should I install? The one that Microsoft automatically found and sent to me, or the one that actually matches my machine?
My computer is going nuts. All of the sudden it everything on the screen went blank then came up in terrible colors and HUGE. It then proceeds to pop up a message that says:Windows Display Driver Stopped Responding..That's the only part of the message I could write down before it rebooted. When it restarts Installation Wizard starts. It asks if it can install the RAID Controller. I do not install it, I also dont know if i have the cd or not it needs.
My computer has stopped working all of a sudden. It does not even start when he turns it on. It was working perfectly the night before and when he turned it on the next morning, it just did not start. He says that it never gave any warnings or error messages and this was the first time. I decided to clear the dust out of the inside of my computer tower today. After cleaning out all the dust, I turned on the computer for the first time and I noticed the fan on the side had stopped operating. But I have a Nokia Tower/case if that is of any help to anyone. It's the colourful fan on the side which has stopped working.
My USB devices were working fine untill I went to Windows Updates and downloaded all the latest updates. This is when all my problems started. Now when I plug in a USB device I get a balloon on my task bar stating that my "USB device is not recognizied". I have done all the troubleshooting. I have XP PRo with all the latest updates.
