Recovering Photo's After A Complete Crash Of Computer?

I have tried several data recovery programs to try and retrieve some important photo's. Some I've had more the success than others. It was clear that the ones which you pay for is better than the free versions [find more files] On the ones that let you see a list of what it's found but does not let you retrieve the photo's unless you pay for the full programme On a couple of programs they showed the 'missing' files and file names and I'm wanting to buy.

I installed SP3 onto my computer a couple days ago. As soon as I rebooted I encountered a reboot loop that reboots before windows starts. I do not even get to a blue screen. I have no access to safe mode, VGA mode, etc. For the sake of excluding it as an issue, I do not have a AMD.

My computer halst whenever i launch photoshop (all versions of Photoshop) when i install the PS software to other OC's, it works out so well be it a pentium II i tried to; Increase Ram to 1gb, HDD to 80GB, Fans, but all didn't workout. i have formated the HDD several times and changed OS, still all in vain Currently, my computer descriptions are as below;

i am running xp sp3 & vista in dual boot with xp set as default.Just yesterday while working in xp my system hanged.Now when i try to boot all app loaded desktop appears normal then within 5 min the system hangs i am unable to run any apps or call taskmanager, or even shutdown.,My computer opens but gives a NotResponding message.

windows was unable to complete the disk check from My Computer.What cause this and how can I fix it? Apparently, this is the reason I am unable to perform a defrag.I ran a Chkdsk.exe and got the following msg: The type of the file system is NTFS. I know that this question has been asked but I could not find an answer that fixed the problem, so I thought I might try again. Whenever I try to hibernate my computer, the message, "Insufficient system resources to complete the API." comes up. Afterwards, anything concerning hibernation disappear and the hibernation button cannot be clicked. My system details are as follows: Dell Inspiron 9300 running Windows XP Media Center Edition. 1.73 ghz processor with 1.50 gb of ram. (I have heard that having over 1.0 gb of ram might cause this, but I could not find anything that could fix it.)

I keep getting this blue screen of death whenever i need to restart my computer to complete installations and updates. For example, i installed the new Internet Explorer 7 and this error message came up. Also, when i installed a security update i also got the same Blue Screen error. Please try and identify the problem for me. A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.If this is the first time you have seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is identified in the Stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video adapters.Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. I have been having some problems with my computer not responding and got a pop up box to report error, I reported the error then got the Microsoft Online Crash Analysis- response. I Installed the update for IE 6 for XP service pack 2 but am really confused as of what to do next. I was able to print off the Analysis.I'm suppose to go into safe mode ,which I know how to do, But then which I don't know how to do is: Turn off Internet Explorer Add-ons I don't recognize.
It say to turn off add-ons, follow these steps:
1 Open Internet Explorer
2. Click Tools menu, and then click Manage Add-ons.
3. Click the name of the add-on
4. Click Disable.

desktop computer crashed (motherboard) and I purchased her a new laptop. I am trying to copy her files from her "My Documents" directory - I have converted the old HD into an external drive - but it is telling me that there is nothing there. She was an Administrator on the old PC and she is an Administrator on the new laptop. What am I doing wrong? What have I not done? I don't want to lose two years of info. Even the backups will not work.

I keep crashing every time i pretty much load something up such as a game, msn crashed, basically the computer is just crashing when i am running big things or not even big things.Familiar problem?I get messages such as Nv4_disp.dll when i crash after trying to load a game up.Obviously a problem with the video card here but what confused me now is that when msn crashed the computer or even internet explorer once i got these 2 messages as well when the comp flashed its blue screen.Win32k.sys Page_faults_IN_NONpaged_Area.At the bottom it usually will say something like begging physical memory dump and then some numbers just keep increasing until i just restart my computer.

My computer crashes and restarts. it will automatically restart itself after around five to fifteen minutes of usage.I think it might be a video card setting or driver problem. ran devmgmt.msc and there is an unknown device under imaging devices.

I experiance this problem mostly when i'm gaming so it makes me think that whats causing it could be an overheating issue. anyway in the middle of a game the computer will just restart and when windows loads it says Windows has just recovered from a critical error.

Lately my computer has been having many issues regarding its performance. It's an old computer, about 4 yrs old. HP Pavillion, Windows XP. It runs at around 100% when I have about 3 or 4 programs open, when I restart I almost always receive a message about hardware monitor finding an error. At one time I was wondering if my mouse or keyboard could be the culprit. Sometimes when I am opening tabs in new windows on firefox, and right click with my mouse.it opens the site in a new window or it shows me the element properties, tries to save the page, bookmark it, etc. I have scanned for viruses and have come up with nothing. I am afraid to turn my computer off because I don't know if it will come back. I've done about three whole system restores on it (all of which have had issues that have resolved if the restore has been started and then let to rest for a few days.)
Another issue last night, was that Firefox would not respond when I entered a website. It would say that it was finding the site, but then it would say "done" very quickly. I put the computer in hibernate (and the part that says "windows is preparing to hibernate" looked drastically different.) This morning I wanted to find out the problem with firefox. i got a message about how firefox had crashed and needed to be restarted. I clicked on "restart firefox" and my computer had a bluescreen error and crashed. This is the message I recieved from windows about that: Blue screen error caused by a device or driver. You received this message because a hardware device, its driver, or related software has caused a blue screen error. This type of error means the computer has shut down abruptly to protect itself from potential data corruption or loss. In this case, we were unable to detect the specific device or driver that caused the problem.

I have windows XP with the latest update.I have created shortcuts for some photos. What shows on the desktop are symbols. I want thumbnails of my photos instead. Right clicking on the symbol and then on "properties" does not give me the option to change anything except which program will open the file. Is there a way to change these symbols to thumbnails? How do I do it?

Using Adobe Photo deluxe with windows xp and now it won't load due to the above message. it also states C:|WINDOWSSYSTEM32AUTOEXEC.NT The system file is not suitable for running MS-Dos and Microsoft windows applications. Choose close to terminate the application. Has anyone experienced this and how can it be easily corrected as I am only an intermediate computer user?

Recently my son sent home 3 CDs with photos from his travels in South America.2 work fine, the third one cannot be read on my PC, however I can see the photos on my DVD (not computer) player. DVD lists 110 jpg files, 2 photos seem damaged and the slideshow gets stuck on them, but I can restart the slideshow from good photos. he sent many disks up to now, I burn CDs for photo storage on regular basis,this is the first time I experienced this kind of problem .
When I try to right click on the disk to open it in Explorer my PC shows empty disk. I tried to open the disk from different applications like ACDSee 5, copy the disk using Roxio Easy CD creator to no avail

When I turn on my computer, it automatically tries to install some photo program. There are also other problems such as the computer restarting itself with no warning, and it sometimes reverts to a "blue screen of death" where my only choice is to turn off my computer manually. I'm wondering if something could have gotten past my anti-virus software.

I used to send photos directly from "My Photos" folder using Outlook Express,
and after I selected the photos, I was asked if I wanted to resize them, and
then after I e-mailed them, the photos always appeared in the e-mail once it
was opened (not as an attachment). Now I use Outlook, and when I try to send
the photos from "My Photos" folder, they are sent as attachments, and they
are not viewable in the actual e-mail. I have searched for a setting to
change this, but I can't find any. Does anyone know how I can send multiple
photos in an e-mail using Outlook, so that they can be viewed as soom as the
e-mail is opened, rather than having to download and open each individual
photo as an attachment?
