I just installed a new hard drive and cd rom drive on a 2 year old laptop HP-DV4000.I have the system disk from HP and put it into the drive. It boot and successfully loaded XP drivers on the blue screen and started the Hard Drive format.Half way through it stopped and reboot and gave an error.NTDLR is missing.I now am attempting to redo the process put in the system disk and let it boot and install a fresh copy of XP, but nothing happens.I have checked the boot order and the CD rom is listed first. All I get is that error message. I have done a bios self hard drive test and that comes back fine.
Whenever I try to boot up my computer, it says "NTDLR is missing." It just started doing this this morning, and it's been working fine. What might be the problem?
his roomate completey ruined the OS it wouldnt even boot to windows, It had a missing NTDLR, using a windows bootdisk I was able to reformat it and reload windows. Here is the odd part, the NTDLR.com and the NTDLR files are all in the root directory, andit still doesnt boot to windows without the startup disk, when I boot it up it says non bootable disk or non system disk then trys the CD roms then the floppy, yet i put the floppy disk in there and it magically works, and the files on the boot disk are the same as the files in the HD's root directory. So now I'm thinking something is wrong with the HardDrive not the NTDLR. I plugged another Hard Drive I had lying around with windows on it and made it the slave drive, and it worked fine, i could select both versions of windows(each 1 installation per disc) and the would both load, so Is there something before the NTDLR.
I had an NTDLR error, so I thought I could make my corrupted hard drive a slave on another computer so I could just get my stuff that way. Unfortunately when Windows XP started, it started checking the newly added slave and it took forever and started doing all this stuff, all I remember seeing is...deleting index entry yatta yatta. I don't know what it did!! But when I got into windows, all that was there what was originally on the root drive (c:/) like unzipped, My Shared Folder, and WINDOWS. NO MY DOCUMENTS, nothing..no way to even get to my user files with my favorites, documents etc. Yet, in the disk information when I right click it says the drive is occupied with the same amount as before - 80 gigs. I tried to defrag too and the files that I can't find otherwise were being defragmented! So how can I access these files? Windows xp recovery said it could not be fixed. I need this stuff, is there any other way to get it!? It's NTFS file format.
When I turn on my computer I get three pop-up messages. One just has a box that says TOPIC! another says delivery manager has encountered a problem and needs to close, and another says resource DLL is missing... Please reinstall application for McAfee Virus scan. I have reinstalled the Virus scan several times but the message never goes away. I don't even know what TOPIC! is and what is a delivery manager?
I have a clean drive and trying to install XP Pro and I get near the end of the install i get an error message saying to reinstall windows rootsystem32ha1.dll. I have not found any real info on the internet other than comments about it being a common complaint.
Recently, when booting up, I have been getting 2 error messages (both appear twice). They refer to files not found or missing but I cannot begin to identify the files - all that I see are a series of little squares: 7 in a row, then a space, then 14 more. I click on OK and away they go and everything else seems to procede normally. I have a Dell Dimension, Windows XP Home. A call to Dell was not encouraging - they recommended re-installing the system. Oh dear. I have Norton Firewall and Anti-Virus, Microsoft's new Anti-Spy, WinPatrol, AdAware and Spybot. I am FAIRLY confident that my system is clean, but then, who knows? I have run registry checks and let them do their business (I don't fool around with the registry on my own, I am not a trouble-maker). If I need to re-install, I will work up the courage to do so, but until then...maybe someone here has had some experience with these error messages. At least I would learn something new. For now, my system SEEMS to be working OK, but what do I know. This could be a harbinger of worse things to come.
after booting my window xp home edition says, windows cannot find cwindowskesenjangansosial.exe. What is this. Well i dont know, i ve restore and it still repeate itself.
I have a Rock CTX Pro with Windows XP Pro, service pack 3, 2.33 GHZ dual core. When loading my computer, after getting to the loading windows page, it brings up an error message that says: The following file is missing or corrupt: Windowssystem32configSYSTEM
Lately my pc has experienced lots of different problems. It all started one day when I installed a program named xfire. It was running fine with xfire until I came home from school. Heres a list of the problems:
1. live messneger has forgot my email and runs slowly when i attempt to retype it. 2.Live messneger cannot connect at all. It just comes up with this message straight away 3. The copy of windows I'm running has been classed as an illegal copy by the microsoft website (my pc has a preinstalled installation of windows which was on when it was bought from a store). 4.Many installation programs now come up with errors about missing files. 5.I can't find any viruses with avast,ad-aware or spybot. 6. I uninstalled ie 7 which somehow allowed the normal windows messenger to work without the scripts errors I got before, but now I can't reinstall ie7. The setup always comes up with a missing file error.

Trying to install XP on a SATA W.D. Raptor I've did it before but now when I put the floppy in for the Drivers I keep getting TXTSETUP.OEM missing I've checked the floppy for its contents and it is there, The drive has XP Pro on it now but been running it for a year and like to clean it up.
I am trying to fix a friend's computer. When starting up, I get the following error message:Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM
but I got an error that c:windowssystem32configsystem could not be copied because it could not be found. The computer has Windows XP SP2.
Over a few days I had a virus, and used various scans, and now it's cleared out, but I seem to be missing a dll file. One that it said was infected (and deleted) was in WINSYS32QBIWF.dll The only thing I now notice, and don't know if it's connected, is when I open Yahoo instant messenger, and click on the name of the person I write to with this, a script error box comes up saying problem loading dll. And do I want to run scripts YES or NO? No matter what I check, the box opens, but, there is no scroll bar down the side of the box. Thus, when the conversation gets to the bottom, I have to close the IM box and reopen it again(blank) and start over.
I have two partitions on the same drive and both had Win XP installed. I decided to reformat the second partition, and for no particular reason decided to install Win 2000 there. Now on boot up I get the normal boot.ini menu but if I choose XP I get an error that says Win 2000 has a missing or corrupted file: WINDOWSSYSTEM32CONFIGSYSTEMd……..SYSTEMd not a misprint! I hit reset and choose Win2000 at the boot menu and Win 2000 comes up OK . I tried to repair 2000 and I re-installed it but still get the same error. I tried modifying the boot.ini file but it didn't.
When I switch on my laptop I get a black screen with white type telling me that the file above is missing and advising me to insert recovery disk and go to repair screen - happens every time. What should I do?
I've got a Dell Latitude C840 that boots to an error message as follows, "Windows2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: Windows2000 RootSystem32 toskrnl.exe. Please reinstall a copy.". I do not have an ERD. I tried booting off the Dell Recovery CD and got to a Recovery Consel DOS Prompt and tried running CHKDSK with the /R and the /F,
I got the following message upon booting my pc.STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}Te Session Manager Initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000022 (0x000000000 0x00000000).The System has been shut down. The day before I did a windows update.I can not boot into windows.. Not even Safe Mode or dos prompt.
My Problem is,I got an error come up "windowssystem32configsystem" missing or corrupt. How do I repair the registry without a windows xp disc and is it easy if it can be done
I attached a hard drive as a slave to my computer and I went to command prompt and formatted the drive using format d:.When I put the hard drive back into another computer as the master drive, I get an error message saying "NTLDR is missing" in command prompt. I tried to search on google, but I can only find solutions for systems that already have Windows installed on it.I changed the boot device priority in the BIOS, but I still couldn't get the Windows XP to boot.
1.I fixed system32 missing error, now xp set up a new user. My old files are there... But I can't log on as my old user name to get back to work. Is there a simple way to restore my old user? Everything appears to be fine.
2. In my hours of attempting to fix the system 32 thing 2 new boot points have been installed. I cant seem to get rid of them. I tried the msconfig thing but there is no way to delete them from there. Please help 20 hours of this crap and counting.
When the computer tried to load into Windows I get a message saying that the WLDAP32.dll file is missing and that I need to install it. The computer will not load into any mode, including the Safe Mode. I then tried to load the file from the XP install disc and was told on a blue screen that Windows had to shut down due to not wanting to damage the computer. So, I cannot load into Windows in any mode and I cannot get the file from the Install CD.
while using the Windows XP Setup disk to partition the new drive, I accidentally used the "Create Partition and Install Windows XP" option, instead of just creating the partition. Unsurprisingly, Windows freaked out at having two copies installed on the computer, and it took me quite a while to salvage the thing so it would boot. I ended up using the second Windows install (on D: on the new disk), and left the old, unworking Windows install (on C:) dead on the original Western Digital drive.
I have an old computer with an Intel Celeron 467 MHz processor, 128 ram and I'm running Windows XP SP2. Earlier this week I came to turn on my computer, and could not log on to Windows. "Windows could not start because the follwing file is missing or corrupt Windowssystem32configsystem." I reinstalled XP. I couln't access the repair install. Then I thought maybe someone had gotten into my computer and I downloaded Zone Alarm...Big mistake. Since then my computer freezes, programs jam, I keep losing my internet connection,(DSL) and I get "cannot find server" messages. Its also slower as molasses in winter. A little better since the removal. Obviously Zone Alarm was removed and i went back to Windows firewall. I also use Ad-Aware, AVG, Spybot Search and Destroy, Spyware Blaster and I use Registry Mechanic and TuneUp Utilities.
whenever I boot the system, I come up with the following message: Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: <Windows root>system32 toskrnl.exe re-install a copy of the above file. every time I try to boot the CD, the same error message occurs. I've already tried to change the boot order so the CD-ROM drive would be first. I have also selected the CD-ROM drive to be the boot device, but the message always pops up.
I am helping a friend with his computer and after running norton systemworks it says that he is missing mscoree.dll and some things might not operate right without it. now that I have downloaded that file, where do I put it?
I am running Windows Professional Service Pack 3. After starting or rebooting the PC, just before Windows completely finishes loading, I get a message stating "Error loading c:windowsozuveseb.dll"I can click past the message and work fine in Windows, but I'd like to resolve the problem.I'm assuming that "Error loading" means the file is missing. At least I cannot find it doing a search that includes hidden and system folder. I checked another XP machine, and ozuveseb.dll does not reside on that PC, either.how to determine what this file is, and where to find a replacement?
