WLDAP32.dll File Missing And Lsass.exe Getting Error?
Jan 20, 2009
When the computer tried to load into Windows I get a message saying that the WLDAP32.dll file is missing and that I need to install it. The computer will not load into any mode, including the Safe Mode. I then tried to load the file from the XP install disc and was told on a blue screen that Windows had to shut down due to not wanting to damage the computer. So, I cannot load into Windows in any mode and I cannot get the file from the Install CD.

I went to bed 2 nights ago with a statistical program running on my computer. I woke up the next day to find a black screen with a small window with an error message. It said: "lsass.exe - System Error" "Object Name not found." When I click OK, the computer tries to restart.it shuts down, but then when trying to reboot it comes back to the black screen with the error message.

I have an XP machine that while booting, after the Windows XP Logo with the blue bar under it shows, receives a message box titled "lsass.exe - Application Error" with the message "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc00000ld). Click on OK to terminate the application." This occurs twice and then just sits on an empty black screen. It never reaches the login screen. I have tried booting to safe mode and the last good configuration and they both experience the same thing...
BACKGROUND: Got the computer with the problem from brother in law who lives hundreds of miles away. He had fixed it and was selling it. It was clean and in good working order except for the following: No boot disk provided. DVD & CD drives wouldnt initialize automatically. Had to manually go find what you want to play and work with it til it played. Audio CDs would play. DVD never played dvds. Windows Media Player would not play FLV videos or MPEG4, MP4 videos, only avi. An error would come up saying there were not the correct codecs. By choice, this computer & our home does not have internet access, so I couldnt go d/l drivers or fixes directly to computer. Using my laptop and a flash drive, I d/l GOM Player and installed it on his computer, and it would say the same thing. So I d/l codec packs using the same method. I ran Trend Micro scans on all files before putting them on the flash drive. They were either clean or cleaned. (It said this was cleaned : Locked successfully Troj_Gen.C33L9) Another something came up and quickly said something was successfully ignored.) This was before there was a problem. Began to install Klite_Codec_Pack_580_Mega. Checked all the boxes so all the codecs could run. It started installing lots, then toward end it got an error message saying it couldnt register some big long numbers. I assumed it needed the internet to continue. It gave the choices to Abort, Retry, or Ignore (recommended). Each button produced the error message above and when you pushed OK it just looped. My husband restarted the computer thinking it would fix it and it began the problem stated at the beginning....

I'm running xp home edition on my dell system. When I tried to boot up, the screen went black and I got the system error message. From there you can only click ok, the system reboots and goes thfough the same process. It also does it in safe mode. I've tried to use "the last known working configuration" from the f8 screen, same thing.I was going to try a repair install, but for some reason I have a xp pro disk, not home edition. Can I do a repair using this disk (it's a dell disk)? Or am i going to have to wipe everything out and install xp pro to get the system to work.

Recently, when booting up, I have been getting 2 error messages (both appear twice). They refer to files not found or missing but I cannot begin to identify the files - all that I see are a series of little squares: 7 in a row, then a space, then 14 more. I click on OK and away they go and everything else seems to procede normally. I have a Dell Dimension, Windows XP Home. A call to Dell was not encouraging - they recommended re-installing the system. Oh dear. I have Norton Firewall and Anti-Virus, Microsoft's new Anti-Spy, WinPatrol, AdAware and Spybot. I am FAIRLY confident that my system is clean, but then, who knows? I have run registry checks and let them do their business (I don't fool around with the registry on my own, I am not a trouble-maker). If I need to re-install, I will work up the courage to do so, but until then...maybe someone here has had some experience with these error messages. At least I would learn something new. For now, my system SEEMS to be working OK, but what do I know. This could be a harbinger of worse things to come.

Over a few days I had a virus, and used various scans, and now it's cleared out, but I seem to be missing a dll file. One that it said was infected (and deleted) was in WINSYS32QBIWF.dll The only thing I now notice, and don't know if it's connected, is when I open Yahoo instant messenger, and click on the name of the person I write to with this, a script error box comes up saying problem loading dll. And do I want to run scripts YES or NO? No matter what I check, the box opens, but, there is no scroll bar down the side of the box. Thus, when the conversation gets to the bottom, I have to close the IM box and reopen it again(blank) and start over.

I have two partitions on the same drive and both had Win XP installed. I decided to reformat the second partition, and for no particular reason decided to install Win 2000 there. Now on boot up I get the normal boot.ini menu but if I choose XP I get an error that says Win 2000 has a missing or corrupted file: WINDOWSSYSTEM32CONFIGSYSTEMd……..SYSTEMd not a misprint! I hit reset and choose Win2000 at the boot menu and Win 2000 comes up OK . I tried to repair 2000 and I re-installed it but still get the same error. I tried modifying the boot.ini file but it didn't.

I have an old computer with an Intel Celeron 467 MHz processor, 128 ram and I'm running Windows XP SP2. Earlier this week I came to turn on my computer, and could not log on to Windows. "Windows could not start because the follwing file is missing or corrupt Windowssystem32configsystem." I reinstalled XP. I couln't access the repair install. Then I thought maybe someone had gotten into my computer and I downloaded Zone Alarm...Big mistake. Since then my computer freezes, programs jam, I keep losing my internet connection,(DSL) and I get "cannot find server" messages. Its also slower as molasses in winter. A little better since the removal. Obviously Zone Alarm was removed and i went back to Windows firewall. I also use Ad-Aware, AVG, Spybot Search and Destroy, Spyware Blaster and I use Registry Mechanic and TuneUp Utilities.

whenever I boot the system, I come up with the following message: Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: <Windows root>system32 toskrnl.exe re-install a copy of the above file. every time I try to boot the CD, the same error message occurs. I've already tried to change the boot order so the CD-ROM drive would be first. I have also selected the CD-ROM drive to be the boot device, but the message always pops up.

I am running Windows Professional Service Pack 3. After starting or rebooting the PC, just before Windows completely finishes loading, I get a message stating "Error loading c:windowsozuveseb.dll"I can click past the message and work fine in Windows, but I'd like to resolve the problem.I'm assuming that "Error loading" means the file is missing. At least I cannot find it doing a search that includes hidden and system folder. I checked another XP machine, and ozuveseb.dll does not reside on that PC, either.how to determine what this file is, and where to find a replacement?

I have a desktop pc with XP Home Edition. It's an HP and it looks like there are two operating systems on it. One is the regular XP Home Edition load and the other seems to be the Recovery one if you run the Recovery utility that HP offers at boot up. I'm not sure what to do to fix this. If I try to run the recovery from HP it says that some data might be lost which I do not want. Is there any way to fix this hal.dll file using some type of utility disk? Or any other way?

I bought a faulty laptop off my friend assuming that it just needed a fresh install off Vista, I installed Vista and now on bootup i get the error saying a file is missing, the file is usually "winload.exe" but can sometimes be other files which I cant remember the name of. Some times Vitsa will load up fine and the laptop would be perfect, but 90% percent of the time i got this error, whichis really boggling me.
I then tried to do a fresh install of XP, during the install I get a blue error screen, saying there is something wrong with my hardware and to run fdisk on my hard drive. I couldnt do this due to not being able to boot up so I bought a fresh new hard drive trying to fix the problem. I installed this HD and started the XP installation again, I am still getting the error message and I am stumped on what to try next.

Due to lapse of sense at a particular moment on my part, my DELL Inspiron laptop was not protected when accessing the internet for a download. Windows XP is the operating system. When booting up, error message states that the following file is missing or corrupt: <Windows root>system32hal.dll Please reinstall a copy of the above file. I've tried numerous programs and software packages that "guarantee" results but none have accomplished anything except wasting my time and money.

I have a friend who has a problem with his laptop. It has no floppy drives, has a DVD RW drive, and plenty of storage space.Enough background; the pr Running XP Home edition SP1 his computer will not boot far enough for one to log on, Any safe mode or other wise. The error message is that lsass.exe System Error: "Object not found." He can click on OK or the X and the system reboots to run through the loop again. I've read that an executable has to be run to enable a service needed... however I can't run that from the command prompt offered on the recovery console of the XP Home cd. (someone else's CD since his version is OEM and there is no cd that he has).

So my sister gets hold of a computer in the house and ruins it, and here is the dilemma I am facing: I turn on the computer and right away i come to this message....
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
windowssystem32configSYSTEM
Attempt to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the Original CD-ROM. Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair.
So I enter the cd rom and press 'r' for repair, I choose C:windows, however before it can begin to repair it asks me for an 'Administration Password' which I have no idea of after many attempts.
I do not want to have to format the pc since I have some very important files on it. Any help is appreciated.
