My computer came with the game Otto. I can open it in Media Center. "How do I close Otto!" I use the keyboard(have no remote). When I use the mouse and press the Green Button. It says an error message and asks to "debug". I click "no". It then says "Otto not responding, you will be returned to Media Center". Then thats done but I dont know how to close it using the keyboard or mouse.

I bought a new WD Raptor 150GB as my main hard disk, my old 320GB Hard Disk that I used for my old install has been plugged into the second SATA port, and I have a 500GB Western Digital MyBook for extra storage and backup.Recently the new setup has been acting up worse than the old setup. These problems aren't regular but they occur in clumps -for example I would have to restart the system at least 4 times before I get a stable platformproblem includes the error message of General Host Services Has encountered an error etc along with the option to send an error report.
Sometimes its different programs that crash, including NOD 32, Media Center Receiver Service, CLI (which I think is something to do with my sound card) and other random programs including HMI, SVCHOST. When one or all of these programs crash one after the other, the entire system slows down and becomes practically inoperable. Invoking task manager doesn't help either as it takes a good 10 minutes to appear.
Shortly after I open IE7, I suddenly get an error: DeBug Assertion, and something about Visual Basic C++. Then IE Explorer is frozen and I have to close and reopen it, but then the same thing happens. I tried to restore to a previous time, but it does not work, and then I ran Registry Mechanic and I am still getting the error.

As a result the setup program decided to restart my PC and use system restore to restore the computer back to the period prior to that accidental installation. One of the files containing the system's Registry data had to be recovered by use of a log or alternative copy. The recovery was successful. The only button I can click is OK - so I do so and I carry on. Under my Dad's and sister's account this message doesn't appear so often but they keep screaming at me when it does, accusing me of "tampering" with the registry when I have done no such thing...............
When I open 1 Particular Folder on my computer I get this screen Error Message that reads: "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for this inconvience. Please tell microsoft about this problem! Within the Error Screen is an Option to "Debug" the system, which I'm not exactly sure what its for.
I am not a newb with windows XP SP2 but this is starting to really annoy me First Generic Host Prosses 32 has an error and asks me to send a error report then My sound cuts out and when i go into Sounds and Audio Devices my soundcard isent there it says i have none and i to reboot This just started happening and its a clean install of windows.

When I put hardware acceleration to full, in a half an hour, I get a BSOD with a similar error. Believe me, I got three kinds of errors, and some were from different time. I can't get anywhere into Windows, I've done F2, F8, F12, everything I could think of without risking more damage. I've booted from the system mechanic CD with the Hard Drive recovery, and while it said it found and fixed a problem, it didn't fix this one.
When I'm trying to start up Windows XP Home Edition I receive an error box without an error message, I can just click YES or NO. Neither option let's me continue. When starting up in Safe Mode, everything works fine.
