I get this error loading DOCEOC16B1 after boot along with an unwanted little winodw in the right corner above tool bar on desktop, it sat Search the Web on it. I have run the latest versions of spybot SD, ad aware, CW shredder, and also Counterspy 1.0. The boot takes much longer than normal now too.

When I boot my computer up my computer is freezing up once in a while at the loading screen with the blue loading bar. The bar goes across about three times and the on the fourth time it stops and freezes and nothing happens after that. Once in awhile it will go to a blue error screen witht the following codes: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0xF9787C09, 0xF9677FE8, 0x00000000).

The Pc can lauch the boot process ( asking you to press F10 to access the Boot Menu or F2 for the Bios Settings) then the operating system, but some how the above error message always closes the process up. Then nothing else can be seen on the dark black screen but this error message. I tried to run the Pc on safe mode to access the control panel, but in vain.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Dell XPS Gen 3 from 2004 underwent a serious issue when I installed Kaspersky Internet Security resulting in BSoD when I booted computer. Long story short, I had to buy a replacement HDD as the original drive fell and now only plays music (Took it out to extract important files, all save, but when troubleshooting it back on PC with the recovery console it fell).
On my PC I had two extra HDDs, one at 170gigs for music/pics and some apps and a 500 gig for media and some apps. I unattached both those HDDs when I did a fresh install of XP Home Edition on my Dell XPS. After that install seeing everything loads and works as expected I powered down PC and attached my other two drives to get an Error Loading OS.
My problem is that whenever I boot up my loading screen for Windows XP will stop, and it wont ever go again. (I left it on over night to make sure). Now I've had this problem before and I fixed it with putting in the Installation CD and hitting setup Windows XP then repairing my Windows XP. After that I wouldnt lose all my files but I would have to go through this annoying 30-45 min setup every time.

I took the hard drive out of the working one and put it in the non working one as the master. (BTW on the non working one its just the hard drive that is working properly) I put the hard drive from the non working one as the slave so i can try and get some files off of it and format it. So I boot up the system and the computer recognizes it but then i get an " Error Loading Operating System" error.

This morning it started giving the same error plus another one: "DrWatson Postmortem Debugger has encountered a poblem" and has closed. In addition to the above, I can't click or start anything. The screen looks like it's loaded up correctly but then I am not able to start or use any program.only option I can choose is to see the task manager. When booting up my PC, I am receiving the following error message 'STOP: c0000218 {Registry File Failure} The registry cannot load the hive (file): SystemRootSystem32ConfigSOFTWARE or its lor or alternative. It is corrupt, absent or not writable'. I understand that the OS needs to be recovered from the XP bootup disk but the OS was pre-installed so I do not have a copy of this.
when I had a second HD for storage and format it in Vista, everything is fine, I can move files in and out of it, no problem.Then I shut down and boot up into XP. When I go to access the drive its says its unreadable.Then I shut down and go back into Vista, it now says its unreadable. So I have to do a full reformat for it to work again

I just reformatted my hard drive using Windows XP re-installation CD. After successfully formatting and installing xp, it goes to restart to continue with the setup. Once it starts to boot it says that press any key to boot from cd but I don't do anything cause it's not supposed to so it try's to boot from hard drive but says: Disk read error Press ctrl + alt + del to restart. The problem is trying to boot Windows XP so it can install. I booted XP from an installation CD, then a blue setup screen appears, with some files apparently being loaded at the bottom of the screen (this is around the time pressing F6 to load drivers comes up). Then boom, I get blue screened with this error and cannot proceed:
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

After powering it it up it seems like it does not recognize that the hard drive is there so XP does not boot. No error message. It brings up a Boot Device menu screen with the options to boot from Floppy (does not have one), HardDisk (does not work), CD-ROM or PXE. Choosing HardDisk does not work.
In the BIOS screen the hard disk has the status: "Disable" and there does not seem to be a way to change that. In the BIOS boot sequence the hard disk appears as it should. I've tried reordering the sequence but it makes no difference
When i boot up my system(wind xp pro)i get message that says 'metadatamonitor has encountered a problem and must close' with the usual ,send error report or don't send.I click on don't send and carry on my merry way without any apparrent problems.What does it all mean people
