On bootup I receive the error message "Critical Status-the Raid 1 array needes to be duplicated to ensure data consistancy." When I try and "Duplicate Now" it starts and then I receive another error, "Duplicating error!! The array is not functional."If I ignore the error message and continue to boot the system (XP Pro) it cotinues to boot normally. This happens every time.My question is: Should I try on bootup to remove the Raid array and then reinstall the array to clear the problem and in doing so, would I lose or cause harm to my hard drive(s) data?

I'm new here. How's everyone doing? I get this error message just randomly whenever I'm on the computer or not: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v149/spiralout987/error-msg.jpg. I don't know what it is, what it's for, what's wrong with it, etc. Anyone have any idea where I can get more information as to what this error means? And what program is asking for the file that can't be found? Please help! I don't want to reformat my computer to get rid of this message.
I am working on a Gateway solo 9300 and installing xp. there are no peripherals attached. I am receiving the error INSTALLATION FAILED D:I386asms. It is telling me: the file "asms" on windows xp home edition service pack 2 cd is needed. Type the path where the file is located and then click okay.I enter d: ( my cd drive) and nothing. it says: globalrootdevice cdromoi386 in the path line. nothing. I have read as many posts here as I can and it is stopped in the middle of the installation at 39 minutes waiting for me to become an instant genius and solve it.

A 60 day trial for Microsoft office Used but it expired so I tried to install Office Professional I didn't like it and removed it. I have ms bundled on windows XP my hp pavilion 1335w. I have saved a lot of word processing documents for my new (3 mos.) job. Now when I try to re-open them for revisal, or even just to look at them, I get a msg in a small window that says "Works task launcher cannot open the file you selected. It may have been either moved or deleted." If I can't get to some of these, I will lose my job! And I don't even know where to go for help, this is the first place i've tried. Can someone either sove the problem, or tell me when I can go for the answer?

Try to install new software Turbo Tax and the software for my new Epson Scanner. I get this application error message: This application cannot run. That is all it says. I've had this computer for three years and have installed software many times with no problems. There is plenty of room on the hard drive. I have tried installing in safe mode. I have tried to restore back. I have done a defrag.
When try to open any program via the normal shortcuts, I see an error message reading Application Not Found. In order to use anything, I must go find the program on my hard drive and then choose the program responsible for running that program. I've tried creating new shortcuts, but to no avail. How can I get back to normal? I'm running Windows XP.

Recently, I have come across a problem in the internet Explorer of my system. After I start Internet Explorer it does not cause any problem but when I close even one Internet Explorer window it asks me if I should send the error report. i have 2 western digital 80gb on raid0. on this array i have installed windows 7 and now i want to install windows xp on another partition.the problem is that windows xp setup won't recognize my array even with the original raid driver floppy-disk. i created even an nLite customized xp with those drivers installed and it doesn't work.

Amd xp 2700. Get's to the windows screen then reboots. Get an error message that just flashes by fast before reboot. Says something about not enough virtual memory. tried chkdsk fixboot and fixmbr. maybe i've managed to mess it up enough for a reload.
try to change my DRM folder from read only, but everytime I close the properties window it stays read-only. I can't figure out why the permissions of this folder can't be changed.
Operating system is Windows XP and for some time my computer has slowed down to a snails crawl. It also shows Windows Virtual Memory Minimum too low your system is low on virtual memory, Windows is increasing the size of your virtual memory paging file, during this process, memory requests for some applications may be denied. I also tried to install Microsoft Office Word 12, it came up there is not enough memory on your disc space to run Word. I got fed up and was going to delete some old Microsoft Updates but instead deleted as many temporary files I could and cookies as well.
I experiance this problem mostly when i'm gaming so it makes me think that whats causing it could be an overheating issue. anyway in the middle of a game the computer will just restart and when windows loads it says Windows has just recovered from a critical error.

I have a Canon Scanner. When I want scan something and I click on print then after the document is finished printing and if I want to click print again to print another document then I get an error saying: " The parallel port may be used by another application. i have three hard drives : 1 Hitachi 250 GB Sata 2 on Nvidia Controller 2 Samsung 80 GB Sata in RAID O on Silicon Controller 1. the problem is when i boot into windows the LAN connection (two small monitors in the taskbar) takes atleast 10 minutes to show !! and theother problem is that until tht two monitors dnt appear i dnt get any reply frm right clicking any of the drives to see their properties and frm My Computer too, but as soon as the two small monitors come all the properties just pop up.
2. Sometimes suddenly in between Windows shows Write Delayed Failed Error only on the Raid Drives and i cnt access them afterwards,restarting solves the problem tho but jst for sumtime.
When start my PC, it shows upto Windows Logon Screen and from there a Blue screen with Memory Dumping Started message occurs. I don't know what needs to be done. When I tried to re-install the windows, the Hard Disk got crashed. I replaced the Hard Disk and when I tried to install the Windows 98/2000/ XP, I faced the same problem. start computer, I hear the System Notification Sound on my computer. I have watched the system tray area several times hoping to see what is causing the sound but haven't seen a screen message. I have googled and searched Microsoft, but can't find a list of items that would cause a System Notification sound to be heard. Can anyone point me in the direction or web page?
So this week MS released a critical update for IE6. The IE update failed on my machine.I submitted a trouble ticket via MS online portal which is free if a failure or anomaly occurs during a windows update. Yes, I gave permission for the MS portal to extract certain files.At the moment I am disinclined to download IE7 as my 99% preference4 is Firefox save for Windows and Office updates which require IE.Here is the response from MS.

My computer won't reboot. It started when I tried to update windows to sp2 and it had an error so it couldn't finish the update so it uninstalled whatever it installed. I rebooted and it goes into a loop, first the manufacture logo, the windows xp logo and it goes right back to the manufacture logo and starts that process again. I tried to go into safe mode and even the last best configuration to start and it still goes into this loop. What should I do? I don't want to reformat if I don't have too.
I have and Acer Netbook Aspire One A0A110. I'm trying to run Disk Defragmenter and an error pops up every time when i run it. The scan has been cancelled because an error occured in file :C:ACERPreloadCommandAlaunchXCoadeTracerCoadeTracer2008-11-26-28-39.log. I can't find out what is causing this. Acer sucks because they don't come w/software, but is avail for purchase.
